Good sounding V8 for TS020 GT-ONE and more?

I've been wanting to swap out the original V8 from the Toyota GT-ONE and swap a new V8 that sounds better and increase the power to the original TS020 V8 power output.

Does anyone know what good V8 there is to put in the TS020?

I would like to do the same the Mercedes Sauber C9.

Mercedes C63? Or are you meaning a straight swap for a race car V8, not just general V8 motors that sound nice?

I mean any V8 that sounds like it should be in a Sauber C9 or a TS020.

So a high revving V8 basically..?

Hmm.. I'll have a think about it, Le Mans race cars aren't really my forte so I can't think of one I liked the sound of outside the 787B

Yeah.

The 787B has a 4 rotor though it sounds amazing

Don't get me started

But in seriousness I'll have a look through my garage and see if I any spring to mind as having a nice engine note 👍

Thanks for the help 👍

I've been looking too and all I thought that sounded good was the 1969 GT40 Race Car V8, but I don't know if I should swap it in the C9 or TS020.

The C9 has the closest relation to Ford, if distant at best. So I'd probably go for that?

But honestly I don't think the GT40 Race Car's sexy engine should be placed in anything but a GT40  Though that's me 👍

What about the engine sound from the R92CP or R89C?

I forgot about those. I don't remember what they sound like. I'll check now and if they're good then thank you 👍

The Bentley sounds pretty with my headset, as does the Ford 2000 Falcon. Maybe try those?

Ok I will listen to it now.

Edit: It's ok. I'll probably put it with the TS020.

I also checked the R92CP and R89C that Hyped mentioned. It sounds good too.

How would you "swap out" the original V8? I can't seem to find that option in my garage, or at GTAuto.

I like more grumbly V8 ,V10 sounds. V8 would def be the 305 from the 69 z28 camaro and v10 would be the Viper ACR w/Titanium Race Exhaust=epic muscle sound

The gt40 note would sound at home in ANY Ford/Shelby/Saleen muscle car

That is what I thought, but it seems I am not allowed to complain around here.

I know how you feel, but Hybriding is just a trend for now..it'll die. Soon though, GT5 will inevitably become Modern Warfare 2...

On Topic - R89C or Ford Falcon are great, as others said. 👍

On topic? On topic? Are you mad? There is no topic! There is no way in GT5 to swap out engines or engine sounds.

Except there is. Like it or not, hacking is happening.

You can't bury your head in the sand forever.

I don't participate in the hacking personally but many of my friends do.

Now that people can hack GT5, anything is possible..

@UrieHusky
Yep, it was bound to happen..as it happens to many online games after they've been out for years. *cough* CoD *cough*

Pretty much this.

Anything from chassis/engine swaps and painting non-paintable cars to removing body parts such as front bumpers and wings. No matter where you look in the forums you can see people seeing how far they can push it.

If you're not okay with it there's not a whole lot you can do.
GTPlanet is tolerating the discussion of what's possible for now and that's the end of it really.

You need better friends, and this thread needs to be moved to the correct forum.

Say what you like about hacking but you will NOT speak poorly of my friends.

I believe this thread is in the correct section since I'm asking a question that involves GT5 and needs answers.

Now can we please get back on topic? All I wanted to know what was a good sounding V8 to put in the C9 and TS020.

As someone has stated before GT5 is being modified and people edit the cars to their liking and there's nothing to stop it unless it's patched. After the patch someone will most likely find a new way to hybrid.
A patch can't stop everything forever.

^very true. I still think The viper ACR (yes it is a V10 I know) has a great sound.

I just thought of one : How about Ford Mark IV for C9? If anyone does it, I'd like to see a video of it to check out the result. 👍

Cheaters are cheaters, and will do what cheaters do.

If they are your friends and they are cheaters I will call them cheaters.

I don't care really whose friends they are - if they were my friends and were cheating, I would unfriend them and call them cheaters.

Back when the glitching thing was big I saw several friends in the nurburgring24 rooms cheating. At the same time I was busting my ass making money to keep my online gaming going.

I unfriended them all.

Sometimes you have to take a stand.

I have earned every credit I have made in GT5 within the rules of the game. Is it to much to ask that of everyone else?

gtplanet will have to ban me to shut me up. I will never change my opinion on these cheaters or their cheating cars and I hope to God that they suffer mighty sanctions for doing what they are doing.

Sony, PD, Please ban them all!

^Crunch I have as well but I see no issue with someone making a car "better" by using knowledge of computer programing. If you have a problem with cheaters and the threads posted by "cheaters" why do you still post in these threads.

I asketh thou again, Why doth thou posteth in these forum if thee doth not like the subject matter? If you dont like it stop reading.

I can't say I fully agree that everyone should suffer, but I do respect your passion for the game and legitimacy of it. 👍
