I love Tsukuba and I love Motegi...
There are awesome spots to overtake but without "artificial" placed chicanes and hairpins like on most modern tracks. I agree that scenery graphics could be better and time/weather would be awesome.

What? No, not at all. Monza is a stop and go track. Motegi has a complete fluid layout.

It just looks like a trip back to GT4.

You should really play GT4 again.

It's a racetrack. That's what you do, go straight, turn, go straight, turn, etc, etc.

It might indeed not be the most challenging or interesting track to drive on but I often find the best online races I've had are on relatively 'dull' or simple tracks as you can focus much more on the actual racing itself and slightly less on keeping your car on the track if that makes any sense.

Ofcourse Twin Ring Motegi isn't as 'simple' as for example High Speed Ring as it has some slightly technical sections but I think it can be very fun to race online with a lot of opportunities to pass and out-brake.

Motegi isn't a challenge at all, i find the design of it very meh, kind of generic, its just, tight corner then straight, tight corner then straight,

i dont mind tracks like this as long as they feature stunning scenic views, but motegi doesn't feature anything

not worthy of my 5 bucks, but like i said, at this point, whatever we get, will be a nice addition to this dying game

Maybe check out some videos from GTA12 and match the fast times if you don't consider it challenging. I sure couldn't do it! It's both a high speed and a technical track.
Getting braking zones down from high speeds, setting up for the next set of turns is very challenging.

Granted it's not the least bit scenic but for crying out loud-that's how it is in real life!

I loved that they included Twin Ring Motegi for GT5, now only thing I want is the possibility to create custom championship races in this game so I could add all the new tracks they have made for us.

And for the looks, GT5 is lightyears away from the GT4, and I just played GT4 the other day (Not sure about people here in general, but I dont have eyes bleeding even I play GT2 at times)

GT5's scenery makes every car seem like these blend in just perfectly, cars, no matter is it standard or premium, seems to fit there just insanely well, which is pretty damn well done job from my view.

PS. I also love the Tsukuba track, fantastic for small cars and hard for overpowered cars.

I'm legally blind and I can see its different. Not breathtaking like Spa or The 'Ring. But they gave it a nice wash & wax before charging us a premium price.

It SHOULD have been on the disc. You'd think with space that BluRsy affords, most of the old favorites would've been on the disc :'(

You can say it should have been on the disc but judging by the length of time it took for them to release the track I would say it wasn't completed at release. Same with all the DLC, it took almost a full year to release the first DLC so I assume they didn't have assets just sitting there at release waiting to charge as DLC.

I don't have a huge problem with charging for DLC that was in the series previously, especially since it takes work and money to update it to PS3 standards plus reacquiring rights to use the track, and obviously they didn't have time to release every previous track with the game.

Dont get me wrong guys, but remember the time when GT3 was launched ? And how much less content it had compared to GT2 ? And people were happy, so why is GT5 so much different, it's on a whole new system, has tons more content than GT4 (less tracks tho) and best of all, proper Online to play with. So no, I wouldnt call GT5 as "unfinished" game at all, it is just like the GT3 were for PS2 at time when it was launched (When GT4 was the game GT3 was supposed to be)

Anyone can see a pattern here ?

It's not like they didn't have 6 years to give past tracks a spit shine before release. It's obvious PD didn't and doesn't have enough people working on this game. Or perhaps the $60,000,000 budget wasn't enough? GT4 managed to include old tracks and add new ones. And GT4 only took 4 years to release.

In an interview when GT5 released, Kaz had said that he didn't think we wanted old tracks. Yeah, he was very wrong.

I find the timing of Motegi releasing in iRacing and GT5 close to each other a bit curious.

Tsukuba is a MUST have track much like the Nordshleife... life is not complete without them

Did anyone else notice the edgy mountains in the background of the road course main straight? Looks like something from 1998. Overall the visuals of this track equals Suzuka and I'm still very happy that they finally included this. Now we only need Sonoma but we already have more international circuits than GT4 had.

At least GT3 still managed to work very well. Quality over quantity is how I like to put it. We don't need 1,000 cars to have a fun racing game and GT3 proved it. A problem a lot of people have with GT5 is that it tries to do too much. There is very little focus in the game.

And yes, GT5 has some new things in it but I wouldn't say it has "tons" more content. I mean, 80% of the cars are already in GT4.
