Got $61,597 - what car should be my second car?

Hey all,

well, i got saved up a nice chunk of change and time to buy my second car as my first just can't handle well @ 194mph :D

I was choosing between: (bur other cars are an option)

Nissan skyline GT-R v-spec II
or
Corvette Z 06


Now, i tried both (didn't save - load game)

the vett is obviously much faster, but the 4wd seem to be better handling, but i was struggling in some races where as the vett blew by everyone

now, i had not bought any mods, not even tires - so the control on the vett could get better, even on the skyline.

So , - what do you think? i am thinking the vett - unless there is reason not to - or any other cars i should buy instead in that price range of:

between those 2, the vette.

however doing up a rx7-rz would prolly be better.

k, just grabbed and rxt -rz and put in

Racing air and muffler
racing chip
Stage 2 Turbo kit
Racing intercooler
Stage 2 lightweight
Full racing transmission

:D

next some decent tires..lol (i know should of bought them first!)
 
i would suggest AGAINST any of the evos. They understeer, and do not respond to added power very well.

stock, the Z06 would definately be the best choice. Modified, I am not sure. It would be interesting to go see. I might try it later, but im not promising anything. I would guess the RX7-RZ might be cheaper to make fast as it allows turbo upgrades, turbo upgrades are susally cheaper for more power. The RZ is also very light, considerably lighter than the R34. I just like the RX7 better also.
 
Z06 up to the point of entering races against fully moded cars with more than 500 hp.

The vette can take moding up to a certain point and retain its greatest charactoristics, but after a certain point it becomes a little to much for the vette to handle.

If I was making the choice, I would go with the vette.

Then maybe a supra, rx-7 or maybe wait just a bit longer and then use a nsx.
 
I would definatly say the Viper GTS. You don't have the money but save up for it. My friend got a Viper GTS as his 3rd car and he now has 2 F1 cars, the Escudo some more really nice cars, but when in doubt about a race where he can't use his F1 he uses his Viper, and wins every time. His Viper has about 1100hp+ I would have to say the Viper, Mustang Cobra SVT R or the Vette. Hey, even give the Camaro SS a whirl, or, well you get the idea. :D

you must ove domestics. i think those are the only american made cars in the game.

um... i would suggest against the SVT and SS. maybe the viper would be a good idea. but it has very mushy suspension stock.
 
Z06..was my second car..got me thru a lot of races until I won the LM Camaro...and then the GT-ONE and then the F1 :)
 
Well my Skyline got me through alot. I suggest for your second car a 'Big Turbo' car to help you in big tracks. BUT, the skyline understeers at a certain point in modding as do most cars...
 
well!

preatically maxed this car out with mods - except turbo only on stage 2.

but got everything else i can for this car :)

i would say good investment - handles sweet - most races are not too challenging and if they are - it is cause i still learning to take corners - instead of at 150+ mph :)

so yeppers, looks like a good investment the rx7-rz

i tried some of the evo's before this, and yeah, definetly did not like their perfomance at all!

also, - i tried the vet again - put in stage 2 turbo, some sport wheels and the racing air intake - was having trouble with steering - but could of just been me!
 
Try some European and German cars. The S4 is nice, and the Beetle RSi has good handling for a 4WD...
 
well, just top'd it out @ 212mph on the test course (used to get 194 with my miiata)

too bad u cna only make the car white :(

shall have to take a look at them, - gonna need to pick up another memory card :) so i can havea few cars. instead of just 2.
 
Well, i think:
Z06 would be good, till professional
GTr34 ii is also good , but i dont like the understeer unless i can tune it properly
i would highly suggest getting a RX7RZ
 
well - went with the rx7-rz - sup'd up like mad winning races pretty reasily - just won the Camero Race car and got $50k, so gonna keep on going with the rx7 till i can win now more!
 
the rx7 rz actually comes in different colors if you win it. I remember winning one in fur green(forgot what its called, but you understand). there may be more colors, but this is just the one that i won.

is it worth it to mod the camero race car or no? - i just used it to finish the NA race or what have u.

It's quite helpful in the beginning stages, you don't need to mod it right now, it'll kick butt already for the Amateur races.

you have alreasy found out gt3 is easy as pie. it is retardedly easy once you are buying your 3rd car. there are way too many prize cars. you originally bought a miata as your first car. a few hours later you are winning a 600hp race car. haha.

yeah - at first it was hard - and i must say that it still is on some tracks - as my cornerning needs alot of work!

but otherwise i fugured with the amount of cars they put in -it would be harder to move on in the game.

now iam only on Amateur - so i still got a ways to go!
 
go race the time trials first, or atleast try. doing the license tests and time trials will make you better. or atleast require you to be better, so you will get better.
 
For sure - i ahve only done my A license so far - just trying to get as many races done with out needing to get more licenses :D

was debating if i should put in stage 4 turbo (the $80k) or not, so tempting too (in the rx7)- but now i am using the camaro race car more....

Do u know of or have any good tuning for the rx7 that would help me squeeze ever last drop of HP and power out of it?
