My lap times change a lot driving in the rain
Project CARS models real world wet weather behaviour. You will see 'drying lines' appear as cars remove water from the track. You'll have to manage tyres so that if you have wet tyres and the track starts drying out you'll need to drive off the racing line to keep temps down. There's far more to the dynamics of driving in the wet so further research is encouraged!

Can we have any clues about this bit?
 
Its pretty self explanatory,as wet tires heat up,your going to have to either, hit the water to cool them down,or keep driving the dry line and burn them off.

Yes, thanks, I read that bit. My understanding of the last sentence is that there is more than the temp depending on the wetness of the track.

Yes correct,slicks are faster then wet,but hit water on slicks is again self explanatory.
 
And puddles (a.k.a. small patches with reduced/no grip) are also modelled if I recall correctly.
