Team Mello Yello is sad to report that the team finish with last place points due to a "power issue" with the Lexus. A undisclosed insider has leaked information that @Herimopp89 escaped the in laws and went on a horse tranquilizer and laxative binge AGAIN and was seen leaving pit lane with some electrical components from @TexasJDC's car to sell to @Neutty and the window licker team for laxative money to keep the binge going. He was apprehended by the pit crew in the parking lot and severely beat with @Jw_wk1010 booster seat and @Nick Cannella old man walker while @Ryan Kirk sat there eating his "medicinal brownies" and laughing like a school girl. The team is now looking to use shock therapy to get heri back on the straight and narrow and hope to have him racing again next saturday
After hearing of the tragic lost for team Mellow Yellow Team Millennium Falcon has decided to donate a wiring harness to Team Mellow Yellow and will also make a donation to the laxative addiction recovery center so that all addicts can get help and recover our thoughts and prayers are with y’all sorry to hear about the power lost.

What a great turnout for the Season 2 opener. Congrats to the overall winner last night, @SAMHAIN85. 28 drivers confirmed their race day status (with either a yes or no response) and 27 made it to the starting grid.
Confirming your race day status is very important, as that response counts toward your overall league status and participation %. Even if you don't plan on racing a particular Saturday night, it is very important you state that intention. If not, you will be recorded as a DNS (did not start) which will negatively impact your league status.
Regarding pre-race confirmations, everything worked to plan. All drivers entered the correct lobby (A/B) with one or two minor exceptions, one being my fault. (Lobby was set to friends only instead of public...sorry @Jacob Falcon). A few minor glitches in lobby B delayed qualifying, but lobby A went off without a hitch (nice job nog...LOL).
I am currently working on compiling the points and race stats from last night. There is a lot to pour through and input, so please be patient. We are also going to try posting these results in the same manner the GR4 series is posted, and that is having the workbook available for everyone to view, once prepared and posted. (Google Sheets). To get an idea of how it will be presented, head over to our ARL SCS GR4 series thread and check out post #2.
Finally, thank you to ALL of our drivers for a very exciting first race. For the most part there were very few race incidents, and from what I can tell, some very CLEAN and outstanding racing going on across both lobbies. The entire BOD of the ARL thanks you for being a part of our growing league.

As a side note, the news reports are fantastic...very entertaining!

OMG this was great!!

INSIDE ARL REPORTS:
Season 2 Race 1B:

Lap 1 of the season opener proved a challenge for Race 1B. Several cars stalled on the first attempt forcing a restart. The second attempt went much better, but was still shrouded in controversy. The rivalry between Mercedes and Ferrari took a drastic turn as they got together and stuffed each other in the wall half a lap into the event. Each manufacturer is blaming the other for intentional wrecks claiming the other was cheating to gain an advantage. ARL has taken both cars and replacement parts to the R&D center to satisfy both parties that nothing was illegal. Fast Horse Racing's driver of the #43 was off to an impressive start that took a typical ending for him. He spun coming out of the esses and slammed head first into the wall. He never recovered. Competition Directors for FHR could be heard mumbling in the Suites how big of a no talent he was. Rumors immediately started circulating that DWRT could have been involved in a sabotage effort on FHR cars. Nobody knows where the rumor started, but all can point to the back and forth between the two drivers representing Black Rifle Coffee and Death Wish Coffee. Cornbread tried to squash such rumors, but has had no luck. CB instead blames a defect in track design. ARL will also take the broken parts of the #43 back to their R&D center to attempt to help stop the rumors. Team Mello Yello has had very public situations that involved a suspended driver sabotaging his teammates car for cash to feed an addiction. No official word has come out from the team about further suspensions. Millennium Falcon Racing admitted to using what may be considered illegal technology in its engines. ARL BoD has yet to comment on any possible penalties for such an infraction. If race one is this controversial, imagine what the rest of the season will hold! Stay tuned for more from INSIDE ARL.

And now going in to the back of the grid of race 1A we have some recounts on how it was..
Driver Seebhero started in p10 after a no satisfying qualy even dough he was 3 second apart from the p11. At the begining of the race he got up to the first half of the grid, wich he couldnt manage so after a lap he went back down to p9. He fought this position with a racer that comited some errors but I couldn’t manage to take advantage of it, said th latin driver. And from laps 8 to 26 it was all of maintaining a p11 position with some ups to p9 thanks to the pit strategy, but of coarse he went to pits laps later which made him lose the 2 positions he gained. He also told us that he was forced to go to pigs in the early 4 lap beacause he was bomped and he’s transmition was all damaged.
After all he says he is happy because it was a clean race and it’s he’s first pro race.

Back to the studio..

i just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who came out to race last night there were some good battles going on and i hope everyone enjoyed it. i know there were a few issues with lobby B we hope to have that figured out by the next race and the GT Sport gods smile on us and dont freeze anyone on the grid. you guys did a amazing job with qualifying and i hope everyone liked the format, we are looking into a suggestion made yesterday and hope to test it this week seems like a really good idea. last night was a record for ARL with the most drivers racing since we started back in November thank you guys thats awesome and hope we can continue to grow as a group and keep having some good racing.

What's the deal with the group 4 and wildcard races? I'm probably to late to enter that huh?

Never to late we run the gr.4 series on wednesday nights your more than welcome to jump in and run it's a series of 4 sprint races, after the first race we reverse the grid for the following races, and have alot of fun. It does help some of the newer guys getting use to not running aids and people like me getting more confidence running in a pack of cars and some of the fast guys a chance to race up the field

What car doesn't everyone run again? Isn't it the same for all?
