I was just going to bring that up. Also, one qualifying has been completed, the host (or his designee) will back out of the track to capture qualifying times (for both lobbies), then rejoin and drive past sector 1 to get their qualifying place back. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT NO ONE LEAVES THE TRACK DURING OR AFTER QUALIFYING. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL START AT THE BACK.
Qualifying procedure below:
2.1 QUALIFYING
We have decided for ARL to better the qualifying procedures we will be making a complete overhaul for qualifying. With the new format we will hope to cut down qualifying time and start racing earlier. The way we are going to adjust qualifying is to take more of a faster F1 approach. The tire portion of the qualifying will stay the same with no changes.
A. Place in qualifying line will be based off of the previous weeks points. If it is a new season qualifying will be based off of previous season’s total point’s position.
B. Qualifying will consist of 1 out lap followed by 1 hot lap.
C. Drivers will line up by qualifying grid order posted in the thread day of the race after 5 p.m confirmation cut off.
D. Drivers will need to line up after the first corner or other specified location on the track by grid order and once the first driver leaves the following drivers will leave their position in 7 second Increments. Drivers who did not race the previous week/season will qualify in the last positions.
E. Your lap is DQ’ed if you go off track and get damage, with that being said if you go off track with all 4 wheels and don’t receive damage or a penalty you are not DQ’ed from qualifying you may re-enter the track and continue on with qualifying when the track is clear.
F. Once you complete your hot lap we ask that all drivers pull over off the track in sector 1, if a driver goes back to the pits, interferes with other drivers on out lap/hot lap or exits the track they will DQ from qualifying session.
G. The top 6 drivers will have 1 more out lap and hot lap to fight for pole position once the first qualifying session is over. Drivers who qualify for the top 6 will have the option to either take their pole qualifying hot lap or pass on the pole qualifying hot lap.
H. The tire compound you use in qualifying is the tire compound you MUST start the race on (example: if a drivers qualifying laps are set on RS the driver must start the race on RS but may change to whichever compound the driver wants to choose once they make their first racing pitstop). If a driver is caught not using the tires that the driver set the qualifying lap on their laps will be invalid and laps will not count in race.
I. Once you have entered the track for qualifying you have locked in your tire selection to start the race and may not change for 2nd qualifying session or return to the pits.
