My 2c on qualifying format:

While I like the idea of having the top 6 in Q1 re-run it, the 10x tire wear means your tires are going to be pretty worn in by the time you hit your hot lap for Q2. You'll already have 3 laps worth of wear on them by the time you start your Q2 hotlap. So is anyone really going to improve? If you're looking to save time I would skip Q2 alltogether.

If you do want a Q2, I suggest the top 6 pit and put on a fresh set of tires. That way there's a better chance for improvement.

There's no mention about burning fuel during qually. Are you allowed to rev out the engine while waiting in line to start qualifications? I heard a few people doing it as we were queued. You might want to be clear on what's allowed and what isn't since burning fuel is part of strategy in setting a good qually lap. Watch any FIA stream to see what I mean.

These are just my opinions and observations.

Am I the only one anxious to see points? I'm certain I'm around 24th, but with team and manufacture standings, I gotta admit I'm a little excited.
I should be able to wrap everything up today, transfer over to Google Docs and send @TexasJDC the link to post in POST#2.
I didn't think we were doing manufacture points this season? If we are, I'll need to create a document.

Thank you sam I appreciate the info I havent specified about the revs I didnt realize it would make such a difference thank you for bringing that up, your right about the tire wear also might have to rethink qualifying as a whole

Send top 6 to pits and then they can sit there until you say go. Then it’s giving a chance to move. Although..... I had a bad first lap and then gaine 1 position during our top 6 in lobby b

I would make a team but there are two problems.

1. Nobody to join at the moment so it is just 1 person team.

2. I don't know if I can take the time to make another sweet Falken Tire livery for a team-mate. hahaha XD

I do like the idea of top 6 putting on fresh but It can go either way because even with 3 lap old tires I was still .7 faster the second time

Points updated! 2nd post on page 1 thank you @Nick Cannella for taking the time to do all of it hopefully google docs will make it much easier now
I’ll do some post maintenance on the document. I can see a few things that need attention, cosmetically. The view is much better on a laptop or desktop than on a phone by the way. Easier to navigate as well.

If anyone was wondering.... yes I am still alive. Spending every spare moment prepping for One Lap of America in a couple of weeks. Looks like I will not be able to race until at least 5/18. Have Easter this weekend, shooting The Mitty Historic Races at Road Atlanta next weekend, then the following two weekends will be in full-on One Lap Mode.

You can catch out our hijinks during the week on the Tire Rack One Lap of America page on Facebook. If you are close to one of the tracks we are going to be at this year, come on out. Most all of the tracks allow spectators for the day, most free of charge or $5-$10 bucks max. If you do come out, shoot me a PM and let me know so we can meet up! I’ll post a schedule of where we’ll be or you can go to onelapofamerica.com
