@SydViscus
I numberplated it Gold assuming thats where I'll be classed. Didn't see my entry on the list.

Also, since I won't be able attend every race, I won't be seeking a permanent team spot, but if anyone needs a driver on nights I can race, I'm for hire.;)

Hoping to make this Saturdays race, but for now mark me tentative. See you all on track again soon.

Hello everyone, this is Hugh Jass from Inside the ARL and we have received word on the triumphant return of driver nog3861 to the series.
Our reporter on the scene, Patty O’furniture has the inside scoop on this story. Let’s turn it over to her, Patty:
Thanks Hugh. Hi everyone, Patty O’furniture here with the exclusive story and interview with nog3861, one of the founding members of The ARL and below average driver. I had a chance to sit down with him a few minutes ago and this is what he had to say;
Patty: Nog, it’s been a long time. How have you been and the more important question is where have you been?
Nog: Thanks Patty, happy to sit down with you and catch up. After my commanding Bronze Championship run in season 8, things just started to go south directly after the victory party.
My race team and support crew just basically left and walked out on me, claiming that they couldn’t work for a “grumpy old man”, who is too demanding of us”. To say I was devastated would be an understatement. Shortly thereafter, I went on a months long drinking binge, basically trashing everything in sight, including the NogMotorSports race shop. I said “screw it, if those guys can’t handle the heat I’ll burn the kitchen”, so I did.
I torched the race shop. Yes I did it, and was soon brought up on arson charges. As my life continued to spiral out of control, I immediately fled to Las Vegas to hang with some of my Goombas at the Boulevard Bar and Grille and lay low. After several drunken months, I came to the realization that what I was doing was not cool and certainly not healthy.
After several conversations with the “Godfather” of Las Vegas, Flory Delsangro, he convinced me to get my act together and get back behind the wheel. He even offered up a full sponsorship for the race car, but would not finance the full team effort, because I was still “Mato” (crazy in Italian).
Patty: wow, that’s some story.
Nog: But wait, there’s more.
Upon my return to Columbus, Ohio, I had found that Mrs Nog had changed all of the locks on the house and sold what was left of my racing equipment. She was very pissed off that I went “on the lamb” and forced her to deal with my arson charges. Being the good Jewish- Italian wife that she is, she practiced “Omertà” (the code of silence) to a T. While investigators were crawling all around the joint she held her ground and denied knowing my whereabouts.
Patty: oh my, that’s a good woman you have there nog.
Nog: the best Patty, the best. We reconciled and things are back to normal.
Patty: so tell me about this new team you are a part of now, White Knuckle MotorSports.
Nog: Of course. A friend of mine from another racing league invited me to join up with his team for the season and I, of course, accepted. I have much respect for @DublDee and @CdnSweetTee, and immediately took him up on his offer. I am looking forward to help him and his team bring home a team championship this season.
Patty: How exciting nog. It seems like things are falling into place for you. But I must ask, what happened to Death Wish Coffee?
Nog: Well after my drinking binge, arson charges and association with “those kind of people” they decided to pull their full sponsorship. The good news is they still somewhat believe in the old man, and have remained on as a secondary sponsor.
Patty: Wow nog, that is some story, but I’m afraid I need to turn things back over to Hugh. It is good seeing you and best of luck this season.
Nog: Thank you Patty, cheers (shotguns a Mich Ultra).
Patty: Hugh, that’s some story eh, now back to you.
Hugh Jass: thank you. You all just had the exclusive scoop from Patty O’furniture on the comeback of nog3861. We are looking forward to his return to racing this Saturday, 3/6/21 at one of his favorite tracks, Big Willow. We now return you to our regularly scheduled thread. Good night all.

I finished my plat trophy finally and am sick of dailies and FIA drama. I was in a GT5 league 10 years ago that was clean, fun, but they moved on to a different non-GT sim. So I searched GTplanet forums for a similar league. Just looking for fun and slow improvement in my skills.
Welcome!

Hmm the rules suggest I post a livery here. I am not sure if you assign car numbers or what, I just threw on a number for now. Let me know if I need to change that or leave it blank. Not sure if I got the board/mask right. Bottom two layers are the board and top layer is the mask.

LATE BREAKING NEWS

We have finally caught up with (kinetic) Fullness to ask a few questions about the new season and the updates associated with said season

So Fullness can you fill us in on where you have been and what is new?

Sure, i only have a few minutes so ill keep this poignant...well first off as you saw on the car choice on tornado tuesday i have chosen to give the Gtr another shot since we were just getting used to it at the end of season 8, and it helped us get a season podium placement which in turn forced us to choose a different mfg for season 9. I know that was pre-custom BOP but we are confident we can saddle up on godzilla and be competitive in the upper half of the gold division. I just feel the viper and i have grown apart since the new BOP rules and would like to thank dodge for giving me a car that actually ran.

- as far as where ive been? Working you jack wagon! Part of my driver contract obligates me to also haul the aluminum and steel needed to re-build the cars i wreck (thats a lot fyi). That also brings me to sponsorship for the upcoming season (before you ask). We were in talks with other sponsors and TMC wasnt exactly thrilled with our final placement at the end of season 9, but we have both agreed to give this partnership another shot since it would be awfully awkward running TMC everyday for the day job and not running for them on the weekends. This means i may have additional runs to the Nissan plant in Ohio to replace the body panels i tear off.

I took a peek into the pit earlier...may i ask what the line thru the logo is?

Yes, thats actually mirroring what our fleet of trucks are doing and similar to what JR Motorsports is doing to honor the founder of TMC, Harrold Annett who passed this week. I didnt meet or know the man so its the least i can do out of respect.

What about your performance last season?

Ill say it was the lack of practice time and... lets just say that we didnt vibe right with the viper under the new BOP regs. We plan to have a renewed vigor and effort to get at least a few more laps in each week with our Nissan so we can be much more competitive. We think the car change alone is a step in the right direction, its just about trying to find time to get seat time prior to race time.

Have you seen the thread?

Yea....i love the big heads some of these chumps get when they stumble into a championship lmfao. Turtle soup "racing"...yea they need to go back to eating pizza and living in the sewer system (have you smelt them? Damn they stink!) They will find themselves in the middle of the road and ill flatten them with 80k of TMC Godzilla steel and turn them into the soup they are. Oh and those elephant walkers (err, maple gay train) yea they barely edged us out again, and they will feel the pain we have coming their way...and the Wierd Animal Rabies? We have shots for that, and we will just take them out with our beebee guns and bury them in the compost pile. I do know most of the Puka Fad team from a past racing life and still am on very good terms with them as we still hang out on a weekly basis, they may be fast and may be a pain in the ass, but we plan to flush them down so the turtle team has company. I know a little about some of the other teams and will keep an eye on them but as a team, we aint scuured. We are happy to see all the new teams and just have this for them..."git good"

... as a team we have championship pedigree and obviously are perennial podium finishers and will rise to our rightful place on the top step.

Hey guys been thinking about this for a while, but I will not be competing in this season. I have really enjoyed the competition and friendships over the past couple of years and I will miss the good times on Saturday nights. After some mediocre seasons and just a general lack of fun on my end, I decided it's time to step back. It has felt more like a chore for me to race Saturday nights and I never wanted it to be that way. I hope you all have a great season and enjoy yourselves. I'll see some of you over in Super GT. ;)
