You are in luck Andy GT. My best time I recorded was a 1'24.416. Nothing amazing, but still couldn't beat your time.

SSR5 isn't one of the easiest tracks to master. I think you're right, and I was lucky to get a 1:23.7, but I think I can still improve, especially at the hairpin. To get that time it took me quite a few tries.

It is very refreshing to return to GT1 once in awhile.
Thought mostly I do just drag racing.

Allright , What I understood from the rules is that: (correct me if I got something wrong here)
- All tuning (parts) Racing F/R Soft tyres and weight reductions allowed.
- Racing Modification and Sports/Semi Racing/Racing Support Suspension is not allowed
- All HP upgrades , Stage 1 turbo must be installed.
- Clean Racing
- GT Mode -> GTF -> Time Trial -> SS R5 (forward)
- 2 laps , only the last , faster lap is needed.
- Save replay and/or take picture/photo to prove the time if requested.

I started practicing the combo with just the HP upgrades and Racing soft tyres installed.
It took awhile to do 1'23.532

Then I went and bought the rest of parts and returned to track.
After a session of tuning and testing I did 1'20.621

Then I took the Trueno BZR to 400m and 1000m drag testing to fine tune the gears.
Few hours of drag racing and the gears were done.
While I was at it I put in the Racing Support Suspension and did Racing Modifications eventually.
And clocked 12.245 at 400m and 22.133 at 1000m .

Now I needed a new car for more hotlapping.
Bought one , combined previous stabilizers and brake balance settings with the new gears.
I used the 1000m gearing.

After some time I did a lap of 1'19.916

That's one hell of a story! I admire you. Maybe someday I'll be as good as you!:D

So , my turn to pick a combo.. Hmmm..

I quoted the first post , removed and added a few things .
And I changed the car and track information :

Week 2 Challenge

Deadline: Wednesday September 1st

Torque Twist

Mode: Arcade > Time Attack

Car: Chevrolet Corvette '67 / ( Corvette 427 Coupe at car select screen)
Class A FR 434HP

Now , here's the twist:
You start the Time Trial and when you reach 4th gear you stay on the gear for the whole lap.
In other words , complete a full lap using only the 4th gear.
We will be using the 2nd lap for our submissions.
Post your lap time in this thread before the deadline.

To be enlisted in the leaderboard you need to beat my time of 1:18.938

Got a 1:16.390 on my first try but my lap wasn't perfectly flawless. I think I still can crack something better.

If it's the first lap that count I almost got to the time. with a 1:19.056. And that was quite a good lap.

EDIT: Screw the time above, I just got a 1:17.865! but it wasn't wall-free. I'll give you a wall-free version soon.

EDIT2: 1:16.265 100% wall-free & no more than 2 wheels on the grass.

DO NOT CLICK SEE ATTACHMENT

EDIT3: I didn't use the 2nd lap but can my 1st lap time count as I already beat the time by a bunch and even have the replay to prove it?

EDIT4: SCREW IT! 1:14.543!I'm not sure if the 2nd lap (the one that counts) was wall-free but I think it was!

See attachment for replay. ENJOY!

The first lap can be ofcourse used for submission if it happens to be faster than the 2nd lap.
But 2nd lap's advantage is that you get to start the lap at higher velocity = faster start -> faster first sector.

The most important thing to keep in mind is the 4th gear all around :D

100% wall-free.
Only twice did i almost kiss the wall.
No cornercutting either. Just almost.
:D

1'15.286. Will edit this post if I get another chance and improve my time.

Oh, come on! That was too easy. I was thinking, than You guys are faster than me in GT1.

It wasnt so fast. I can do it better.

I will be giving this another go today , before deadline.

I'd like to know if people would like a solid (GMT , UTC or something) deadline time instead of Week Day , MM&DD ?
(current: Wednesday September 1st)
(example: Wednedday September 1st 23.59 GMT)

My lap time sofar is in the 1'10's

To match that time in GT2 you'd need a Toyota GT-One
GT1 has the fastest laptimes of all GT series.

But... what's the twist? Everyone knows the Viper GTS' last gear is ridiculously long. Will the twist be on 5th gear then?

Week 4 Challenge

Type R Meeting

Mode: Arcade > Time Attack

Car: Acura Integra Type R
Class B 197HP FF
Driving Style: Drift
Transmission: MT

Track: Grand Valley East Section

Oh gosh, another only-pros-stand-a-chance challenge.

Best time attained was a 1:01.883. Go haead and curbstomp me, maniak300.

So which car/track is not only for pro-riders? I was thinking about Civic 3door C class, but it has a different name in PAL and NTSC and it would be a little problem for other. If you want, I can change the car for Civic 3door (SiR I think...). Its more friendly for non-pro drivers. What do You think about that?

Its not that I want win all what I can. I would challenge with You guys. More people = more fun ;)

Peace Andy ;)

Edit:
My first fast lap 0:59.392. It will be faster

Edit2:
Ok, I have a new one... 0:57.605
