This has been a issue that has been bugging me......we have seen 3 variations of the same GT4 cover (with a GT40) on the front.....but they are all in different positions.......If this is the final Japan cover what was the one shown at TGS?? (with the PStwo).....the one with the engine bay open?

This is the final PAL and NTSC J ones then (I think!).....The one shown next to the PStwo with black lettering must have been a concept.....(I cna't find where that pics has on the forum!).....

So we've got the PAL cover and the NTSC-J cover.. now we just need the NTSC-U/C cover (which is the one I'll be buying, so it's really the only one I'm interested in.. hehe). I do like the PAL cover, though, I could be happy with that as the US cover.

You know what the weird thing about those covers is... The one on the left with the hood open is a real picture, and the one on the right is a GT4 render (explains why the hood isn't open).

Im guessing that you can read Japanese. Also if anyone else can read Japanese can you tell me how much those racing cockpits are going for?
And did anyone else hear about GT4 is being release with a make of the game DVD when it goes for sale in Japan?

Special GT4 bundle for Japan


Order Gran Turismo 4 from Sony's Japanese Web site and get a making-of DVD and other bonus items.

TOKYO--With Gran Turismo 4 about to cross the finish line, Sony Computer Entertainment today announced that it will release a special bundle pack in Japan only. Available only on SCE's Japanese online retail site, the bundle will include a making-of video DVD titled "The Making of Gran Turismo 4." According to the site, the video will be a visual introduction to the world of the game with commentary from producer Kazunori Yamauchi.








The bundle will be priced at 7,180 yen ($66)--about $5 cheaper than the in-store price for the normal edition of the game, which is 7,665 yen ($71). The normal edition of the game is also offered on the site at the discounted price of 6,880 yen ($63). Preorders for both editions of the game began today. As a bonus for ordering through the website, orders for either version of the game will receive limited-edition photo prints of GT4's cars as well as a GT4-branded carabiner lock.

I like the design on the memory card box, the game box thingy sucks, out of all the designs we've seen I don't like it much, but then again, it's what's in the game that counts.

As a result of the reduced size and weight, NTSC/J machines will be cheaper to import than ever. Not long until the 3rd...

Edit: it is important to remember that the north american date of Dec 14th was noted as a target or projection.
