It looks like Prologue with all the cars removed, barring the Toyota Triathlon whatsit car.

Beh.

It becomes finaly boring that PD loses time editing such "demo" versions no one really cares...

When I'm in my job and I'm late, I hurry and I do not loose time showing everybody on hearth what my result might be if I had finished my tasks !!!

Ok, toyota pays PD for that .. ok ok ... but remember you will pay GT4 as well and be sure it won't be for free.. ( and I do not event talk about extra wheels or Live connections !!!)

PD should pay extra attention to their fan. ( it is a small example but waiting for PD, I bought an Xbox and PGR2... I'm not sure this is what sony really expect and appreciate)

So PD take your time to release GT4... but hurry please. ( contradiction ? noooo ...) :))

I did however manage to hunt down some screens for this for a small newsitem I did:

This is interesting because this setup allows you apparently to look left and right in the game just by turning your head (you wear special video glasses) and you can see on the monitors in the back what the driver sees, which includes a cockpit!

I think it's good they do this sort of thing. It makes money, it increases support for the GT franchise, it gives a lot of publicity on car-shows and it allows PD to test new ideas.

The hybrid fuel conservation lesson with the Prius that was originally designed for Toyota was also released in GT4 Prologue Edition. With a bit of luck we'll see this special option to look around while driving back in GT4 somehow too.

Nissan has done this before. They did a Nissan 350Z version of Gran Turismo that you got with a test drive of a new 350Z.

There have been at least 15 such games already (the Daihatsu Copen among others), but not that many have added a completely new element like these two Toyota versions have.

Sure, I haven't taken Business Mangagement class, but I think PD isn't really playing around and wasting money. I mean, if they did, GT4 would be released in Christmas 2005. I think PD wants to market GT4 in several ways. I don't think Polyphony D. isn't trying to spend more time on marketing than making a world-class video game. Who knows? Next thing you might see is commericals about a game still in production. Do you remember the GT3 commercials? Same might happen for GT4. I'll be watching WWE Wrestling, then their HORRIBLY REPETITIVE COMMERCIALS will be on, and I'll probably see the same damn commerical... 4, 5 times.

Either you think it's marketing strategies or just goofing off, I think GT4 will be in stores within the next few months. I know I heard "Fall 2004," but I think it may not mean "Christmas '04."

some of this may be through deals with auto manufactuers, for licences
