Hey, have read the article four times. Could someone quote the bit where it confirms interiors for me, I may have missed out on too much sleep!

A car site like MotorTrend did a better and more detailed preview than the other so called Pro gaming sites

“While racing the 24 hours of Nurburgring, you can smell people’s barbecues -- we couldn’t recreate that.” -- Kazunori Yamauchi

Priceless.

Can someone tell me how to use this as a sig???

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I want the Skylinr R34 and the Supra to be premium,

well if they are standard at least they will have a cockpit view :D

Agreed:tup: skyline has to be premium, its iconic in real life and gt life

And you dont know if they will have cockpit view for sure now do ya ;)

Great article, definately got to the point pure and simple 👍

And great news for both Nascar and F1 fans: more cars are coming. Me being a rare breed of both it seems, my chrismas stocking has been stuffed already :D

You see, these people are actually grown ups so they kinda know what they are doing :sly:

Motor Trend article is great... Why is it that they always write the best GT articles and get the best interviews? All the gaming sites write poor articles that just confuse people and MT seems to be able to clear it up. This isn't the first time...

Interesting to read that there will be a horn, and more F1 teams -- awesome.

Dude standard cars will have cockpitview trust me ;)

i dont see how that article confirms anything.

-- Premium cars get --
- Full interior recreation
- Physics damage
- Scratches, dents, dirt accumulation
- Deformation and separation of body panels

-- Standard cars get --
- Physics damage
- Scratches, dents, dirt accumulation

thats it

I love how that confirmed that standard cars had interiors. People worry for no reason sometimes, but I can understand. Either way it's a very good article. Kudos to you GlobeKIDD and MotorTrend. :)
Wait, where is this confirmed in the article? I must be missing it somewhere.

Felt like putting this here but check it out:

I think the "November 2011" for Japan would be a typo. It is sounding like it'll be a world wide launch.

And it sounds like that the guy recording stuff in the trailer is recording stuff for the racing school. That's PROBABLY what RED BULL is doing in the game. Like..a Red Bull Racing School.

yea and also it seem those so called pro racing sim journalist "InsideSimRacing"

didn't say nothing or even go to E3 play the game and give us some feed back like they did with foza 3 "saying forza 3 feels "so real" lol

they just showed their real fanboy faces. nice try Insidesimracing nice try....👎:yuck:

Same, I can't find it >_>... I see it mention that premium insides are modeled with great detail.

"-- There will be an available virtual driving school for GT beginners"

Maybe that's what Seb. Vettel were doing, instructing you how to take a certain corner.

Is it for 'GT for boys'?

yeah. Premium models will have awesomely detailed interiors whereas the standard models will just have interiors that aren't so awesomely detailed.

that's what I said.

The thing about that is they confirmed head tracking, what happen when you look down to look at the shifter and the floor?

Just re-read the MT article and I believe it actually confirms our worst fears...

"-- Two types of cars: Premium and Standard --
- Over 800 Standard cars; mostly gathered from the franchise’s previous four editions.
- Over 200 Premium cars
- Total cars available: 1000-plus (final amount has yet to be determined)

-- Premium cars get --
- Full interior recreation
- Physics damage
- Scratches, dents, dirt accumulation
- Deformation and separation of body panels

-- Standard cars get --
- Physics damage
- Scratches, dents, dirt accumulation

- Premium cars’ interiors are created with the minutest of details
- Harnesses, buttons, carbon fiber weave, wiring all virtually made
- Undersides are detailed as a result of vehicle overturning
- Textures have been especially focused on during rendering"

Notice how the standard section does not mention interior views. The part that does mention that is separate and is not referring to standard cars but rather premium cars as it describes all the detailing (hence premium). So in short with the Kotaku article and emails plus the MT article plus all the other articles I think it is safe to say that only 200 cars will get cockpit views. I sure hope I am wrong.

That has to be a typo for japan:lol:

My great hope being a European is that TBA turns in to October2nd2010 and all my fears about no worldwide release date are put to rest

Umm...I think the standard interiors are more like Test Drive Unlimited. Full interiors that you can look around and see, but the Premium models will just have a LOT more detail and look a lot more like the real thing.

Driving school, eh? Instead of being all "lolz one button racing!!", you can actually learn how to drive. Awesome. 👍

Plenty of the cars in GT5P had interiors and I highly doubt all of them are premium. I still stick by my idea of standard cars having interiors, but they're just not as detailed and don't take damage.

I hope logitech sells more 'Driving force GT' so every driving enthusiasts can have one and test out GT5 for themselves. :)

You could look around in TDU with the mouse if i remember correctly and it was very detailed for a game back then.
