That's just when IGN will dedicate time to Gran Turismo I guess?
And tomorrow is the Sony Press Conference,
where GT5 will certainly be present.

Do I understand all this correctly?

Yes, it's E3. It's an expo for the entire gaming industry, not just Gran Turismo. And with their recent presence and exposure at Le Mans, they may well have to forgo time at the expo.

-E3 starts Monday
-Sony's Press Conference is Tuesday (which is what is being counted down to in this thread)
-The 20 minute thing on Thursday is the website IGN's dedicated coverage for GT5.

Forgive me if everyone knows this, but it sounded like some may be confused. :)

Yep, we are really well trained... :)
After I saw the Le Mans demo I really can't wait, but on the other hand we already have really good news. AI definitely improved, grass and smoke effects etc...
Gran Turismo is Real and it is almost knocking at the door guys...

If I got it right the only and official time dedicated to GT5, at the E3, is tomorrow.

Depends on when tomorrow is in your world I guess. Time zones are so confusing. :lol:

But let me take my time and really break it down.

Everything in this post uses the current time in LA.

The official days of E3 are Monday the 14th through Thursday the 17th

Monday- Is the official first day of E3. There should be some GT news, because it is assumed there will be GT demos on the floor. But we will see.

Tuesday- Is the 2 hour Sony Press Conference. This thread is counting down to the moment this press conference starts. Most believe this is when PD would display an official trailer or show a Man Furismo Jive commercial. :sly: Also, there is a countdown on the first page of this thread if you are not sure when it will start for you. There will also be live feeds all over the net, i.e. Gamespot. Or if you cannot be there during the live presentation it will be re-playable all over the internet.

Wednesday- More coverage of everything, but nothing known in the schedule.

Thursday-The final day of E3. The reason the 20 minute thing keeps getting thrown around is because IGN has published a schedule. This schedule shows the time and date that they will cover all of the major games. So, if you go to IGN.com on Thursday at Noon Pacific Time you will see IGN cover GT5 for a dedicated 20 minutes.

However, we should receive news sporadically throughout E3. With the largest news most likely being released during the 2 hour official Sony press conference on Tuesday.

Does anyone know (with links) if there are any sites doing a live text update of the Sony conference like Engadget did for the iPhone at the Apple WWDC?

There may be people who can't watch the live stream video if they're just using their phone etc.
 
Sorry, I bet this has been asked before but I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to E3. Will there be any GT5-specific day or anything? Or do we just watch the conference and wait for the 20 minute slot that it gets?

There's the two-hour Sony conference on Tuesday (tomorrow), and IGN has the 20 minute coverage spot on it on Thursday. Who's to say how much news will be flooding in during E3, but no "GT5 Day". We'll just have to wait and see.

EDIT: GTPlanet will make it a GT5 Day đź‘Ť

i really hope we get a suprise with a latest spec GT5 demo being released over PSN during E3 to sort of ease the pain on the long endurace us fans have waited thru.

Can't remember where I read it, maybe it was Kaz's twitter, but I did read that there was going to be a demonstration of multiplayer. That could easily chew up 5-10 minutes if the online features are detailed and a live beta demo is given (as with MAG last year).

Oh, GT5 isn't scheduled as the first, last and only presentation. Boo-frickin'-hoo. God, some of the peple in this forum can act like such children sometimes. No wonder I don't stray in here too often.

If you stopped throwing your toys out of the pram for one single, solitary moment, maybe you could think about it in a different way. Like maybe they're saving the best until last.
