The intro is awfull! the first part was slow and boring, the second part (where the Nissan GTR is showed) is decent but the music totally ruins it. In lots of GT intros the music help to build the atmosphere, in this case it feels just unattached.
How can you not be blown away by the LF-A overtaking the GT-R, R8, Gran Turismo S, & Mclaren LP in the tunnel, at night? I don't like the song that much either but it'll sound better on my speakers than on YT.
I really feel sorry for Kaz that it had to go this way. But not at all for Sony.

this screeen sucks... this car has jaggies... this menu screen is low res... the ppl in the stands are 2d.... the trees are cardboard cutouts... the picures of the leaked game cover are fake... the lucky guy with the game is a jerk because he's not giving us enough information... blah blah blah....

I love the prologue intro. I still watch it sometimes to this day. And ive seen it tons of times.
ABout the trailers. I agree as well. EVERY single trailer they relased was about 10000 as epic as the intro. It really suprises me how they manage to make such perfect spot on trailers, and then totally mess up the actual product intro.

lol actually got a bit nostalgic, and I suprisngly found my gt2. I can't beleive its still in perfect nic, been transported around so much.
Man i used to take care of my games, or maybe just GT. Its literllay spotless black CDs and perfectly preserved cases like you just bought it. It still smells hevily on that pit stop smell when I smell disc 2.
Anyone feel like 1 &2 had something 3 & 4 didnt, or is it just nostalgia? ODnt get me wrong I played 3 & 4 a fair bit but they never captured me the way 1 and 2 did.
I hate to interrupt the debate on the intro movie, but did anyone notice the tire wear indicators in the miata video. They seem to show tire temp in real time 👍

Is it me or is the track selection a bit cluttered? I liked the way it was in prologue where you hover over the track then scroll through the different layouts.
I really don't see why some people here think making spectators 3D or adding weather effects is so easy...
The PS3 is by no means that powerful and you can easily tell it is not easy at all from the fact no other games have done it before(at least at the level of GT5).
And I am also surprised that some only complain (I hate the intro BTW) and are not excited about new stuffs you see in the video like the inclusion of F10, which makes me suddenly start to think Alonso becomes the Champion this week is not a bad idea at all lol
And the pit stop scene in Leman at night is really beautiful, I don't know how they could have had all the lighting effect and stuffs at the same time...its really staggering and really hope it stays the same during game play.

Yeah I wonder if there is a way to change the layout of the menu...example...as it is right now, or change it so that it is like prologue...I definitely like the prologue version.
