I'm a progressive house DJ in my spare time, and i must say that while bt's stuff is good, I dont think house or trance makes me want to go racing. It's awesome to race TO ( i used to put on some "New Deal" tunes and race the F1 series back in gt3. But I vote rock for racing intros. -Love Van Halen!

Well, this in particular reminded me of the intro in GT concept so I thought this would be great. I myself still race with any other trance or house song that sounds great to me.

highlifeGT
I think if Kaz wanted to he could include alot more car footage music videos commemorating different accomplishments, like winning a world champ of JGTC on expert, or certain % completions.
The game will be on blu-ray, so I'd say go for it. More vids for acheivements = more music = us all happy. = )

I like the sound of that:tup:

An instrumental version of The Killers' "When You Were Young" would be awesome.

HA! It's funny you said that because I have HD concept and i could swear the only music track during both racing and replays SOUNDS extremely similar to the chord progression of "when you were young." Even the guitar used in the HD concept song sounds just like the semi-distorted guitar the killers used.
-Good suggestion indeed

I will most likely be something by Daiki Kasho / Dakota Star, I hope they use Prologue's Stay Alive but I found an amazing song they did for Tokyo Extreme Racer ages ago and that would be a great tune...

Dakota Star - Running In The Dark...

This is the INTRO that SHOULD be in the begining, but instead theres a pop punk song of sorts. Someone clear this up and tell me if this little vid is anywhere to be found in GT5 prologue JPN version.

Haven't posted here in a while, but I've made two Intros of my own:

what about this one?
NB! turn the sound a little down before hearing it
:lol::lol::lol:

its got to be the 1st song on the new wolfmother album"california queen"that songs got GT all over it!!!!

Top gear theme tune for uk version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like most of the other openings it will probably start of silently and end with some more guitary tunes. Like others said The pretender would work well and One vision would be very good too (instead of fried cicken you get the engine noise and the GT5 logo :))

The pal version of GT3 still has the best opening song ever to me (Just a day), too bad the more recent stuff of Feeder will not be usefull for an opening song.

These would be good:
more Pendulum with 'Granite':

or Kasabian again with 'Fire'

or Elbow with 'Grounds For Divorce':

Hang on...this isn't very different from this thread >>> What should be the GT5 theme tune?

EDIT: Sorry about that. It seems that this thread is much older than my own. It was just inactive for so long that I didn't realise it.

I think this would be best: DON'T STOP BELIEVING!

How about that? It seems like GT style, thats the sort of thing i would expect to find on a GT soundtrack. Or maybe their other song:

Millionaire

Crazy song. Good song. But theme song? Not heaing it.

I'm going Queens of the Stone Age.

It's in a car, It writes itself. It's songs for the deaf, and if your're driving properly, you aren't hearing music anyway.

Bit heavy for GT in my opinion. If you compare it to Just a Day and Surv1vE etc. its just not right.

My ideas are for the PAL UK version, i suppose as a US version millionaire might work, i don't know.

I don't mind whatever they use, as long as it's an instrumental to be honest. I also hope the introduction trailer features engine sounds. Would sound so much cooler that way.

Going by recent promotional videos for GT5 and GTP, it seems that dance/ electronica music is in favour.

I think this track has potential and I can almost picture how the intro video would sync with it.
