An idea that has probably been said has popped into my head.

Disc 1-Gran Turismo 5
Disc 2-Making of Gran Turismo 5 + A history of Polyphony Digital
Disc 3-All previous Gran Turismo's on one BluRay disc.

I know the last one is highly unlikely, but one can hope.

👍👍👍
That is the best idea ever!!!!!!!

I like the idea of this one alot.

I agree with Coiler.

I think it'll be seperated in Arcade, GT and Bonus disks. A little like Granturismo 2, but obviously no one but the employees at PD will know for sure at this stage. It's always nice to dream though :)

I'm not sure about the 3 disks bit. If you look at the size of the case inside the box, you'll see there is not enough room to fit 3 of them. My guess is 2 disks + literature.

I just realized something. The black one is the only blue ray case in there. The rest are books. You can see on the bottom of each one. The black one has a gray bottom like a blu-ray case. The blue and red have a white bottom. Like a book.

Also, the black case is larger than the blue and red, they are probably manuals and other things. Virtual manual anyone? :)

BT-> I didn't expect this...three BD discs in GT5 that is madness!!! (in a good way)

OT-> ...
Kazunori Yamauchi learning advanced physics.

^ That made my hectic day at work! ROFL!!! 👍

BT-> Hmm...:odd:

Looking at that pic you can clearly see the top disc is Gran Turismo 5. And the other 2 dics are not labeled which means its either blu rays dvd's or cd's.

Just extra content videos, making of artwork ect.
^ As far as I read it; it says Gran Turismo 4.

-> Anyhow this mass of information called GT5 would be a an epic journey for us fans. :)

-> Imagine, BD's can be in a dual-layered disc format. So that means this would happen...

BLACK Disc [The original format]
Side A - Arcade mode ({offline/online} multi/single player, PS Home, GTTV & game manual)

Side B - Gran Turismo/Simulation mode ({offline/online} the usual buffet, other racing leagues, license tests, time attacks, cars, tracks, tune shop, time attacks, etc.)

BLUE Disc[The Career Mode]
Side A - WRC, NASCAR, and Touring Car mode

Side B - SUPER GT, Formula GT (PD's F1), Drift/Togue mode

RED Disc [Bonus]
Side A - The making of the game video documentary {produced by either BBC or Discovery Channel} <2-3 hour Oscar-nominated film doc, took them 5-6 years to make the game, so why not?>

Side B - Retrobution: GT1, GT2, GT2000, GTC-series (Toyota, BMW, etc.), GT3, GT4P, GT4, Omega Boost, Motor Toon GP, and TT. :crazy::scared::trouble:

^ If that happens, we will forget about GT6 altogether. :dopey:

:boggled:

It reads as Gran Turismo 5, I have no clue what you're smoking :P

^ Smoking my tires on my S2K. My bad. :sly:

^ The big box says GT5, but I think the small DVD/BD casing reads GT4, the number is shaped like a 4 than a 5:

^ Don't stress me on this one, I'm just pointing it out thats all. Sorry if I'm wrong in advance, no biggie! :)

This is probably a collector's edition. The red and blue cases can't be blu-ray disks because blu-ray cases have the top and the bottom transparent (I believe the new ones are translucent blue), but you can clearly see the two cases below are solid. Having one blu-ray disk doesn't make it bad, because 50GB is still a lot of storage and should be more than enough.

Game is one disc, 50g plenty of room. IT would kind of suck to have to switch discs to go to Arcade mode, unless they finally incorporate Time Trial into Simulation.

I find it interesting that its already considered that there will be more the one disc containing GT5. Wouldn't be the first time this has happend to a GT as GT2 was two discs with Arcade mode on one and Simulation on the other, although I highly doubt that would be the case for this given the much more powerful hardware on hand. The WRC/Nascar theory sounds interesting but again it just seems unreasonable to me given the massive storage blu-ray has. If there are three discs, I would definately agree about the bonus content, maybe something along the lines of "Behind The Apex".

what about this:

They put the japanese, european an the american versions in the box (different covers).
Because i highly doubt that gt5 needs three discs

I'm of the opinion that it's probably just a limited edition version with bonus content.

I highly doubt that the box has been finished 5 months before commercial release, unless of course, it was aimed for an earlier release.

GT5 could well have both an "install disc" and an "in-the-drive" disc. 3rd disc is probably the manual.

Quite possible GT5 could have two discs. We know it's going to be a huge game, they might not be using dual layer BD's, for possibly cost reasons, possibly reliability too.

Of course, the easiest thing to say is, "we just don't know".

1. Arcade
2. Simulation
3. WRC & NASCAR

That seems best. I honestly want to bring the original arcade style back as well.

Black case = GT5 with GT mode, arcade mode, GT-TV etc + instructions.

maybe below is a:

Red book or BD case = making of GT5 + how & why GT5 changed.History of the entire GT series, including interviews with KY san & the folks working there, how the games were made, concepts/ideas that didn't get into the games etc etc.

Blue book or BD case = printed game guide or all the demos & fmv's, with maybe some we haven't seen yet.

I honestly don't think one of the discs would be a manual/game guide for one reason. Normally when you reference the manual you are playing the game. It would be rather frustrating to take the game out and put a different disc in just to see how you do something.

Also, I love how people here made it seem like F3 being on more than one disc was horrible yet nobody cares if GT5 is on more than one disc.

You, sir deserve a cookie.

Thank You.

Whether it's more powerful or not, that doesn't account for space. 25 or 50GB is 25 or 50GB, having eighteen cores or three GPUs isn't going to change that.

I dont know if thats for the best :scared:. Imagine everytime you wanted to switch modes you had to swap discs...last time I had to do disc swapping was when installing a PC game or playing a playstation One RPG.

Every Gran Turismo to date has been rather light on the manual side. They're usually nothing more then basic controls and a few pages of driving tips. The majority of the GT5P manual was in the disc. I can't see why PD would break their mold now and include some large physical manual which would be a waste of money to print as they could just include it on disc.

If every mode and every car, track, etc is not on one 50GB Dual layered Blu-ray disc (equivalent to 6 DVDs) then it would indeed be horrible.

I certainly care but I'm not worried because it won't happen. The two extra discs are most likely part of a GT5 special edition. A normal editon most likely will have just one disc.

There's a difference, Forza's one disc is what 9 gigs, GT on the other hand would be 50 gigs. Theres a big difference in the amount of info you can get from two discs of Forza compared to two discs of GT.

Now I'll just say I also only believe there is one game disc, and the other two items are booklets or video discs.
