My gosh. Is every little video clip or article going to spawn pages and pages of crazy speculation?

"OMG look at that video of GT5!"
"That must mean there is going to be like 2 million cars and 50 bazillion tracks."

"Oh snap!!!!........Did you see that .0005 sec clip of that red dot on that car?"
"It must mean that we can paint tires any color we want!!"

Without all this speculation this forum would be a lot more organized and easier to read. Seems like 85% of the threads here are reposts of nothing but speculation or "wishes" for GT5.

You have been here long enough to know the answer to that.

I'm not sure what is worse, the speculation phase or the month after launch phase. I'm sure the mods have their own opinions.

That's true. lol. Been here since '02. But geez, I wish I was a mod so could delete all this crap.

Forums are for discussing things. We don't have anything better to discuss at the moment, so I fail to see the problem with it.

I guess that's true since the description in the main forum under GT5 is "News, rumors, and speculation about the next big GT game."

But still, too much.

Maybe the 3 disks could be

Disc 1: GT Premium (with all cars, tracks, wrc, nascar included at full retail price)
Disc 2: GT Standard (with a few cars and tracks and people must purchase extra cars and tracks from the playstation store at a smaller reatail price)
Disc 3: The making of Gran turismo?

I only thought of this outcome going back to the Gran turismo HD story were users would have to pay for content

OR one could just be GT and the other, a limited edition :dunce::rolleyes:

Thankfully, I think they canned that idea. ;)

Now, as to what that packaging means, who knows? Maybe it's just a mockup to get us all riled up. :sly:

I think this subject is one of the most discussion worthy to come along in some time. Frankly, I'd think a standard GT5 game that came in a form like other games' limited editions would make quite a splash, and there's a chance this is what we're being shown.

I definitely want a GT5 Anniversary Special Decade Edition, and this gives me hope for something very special from Kazunori when he releases his game.

Meh, I've never been too hot on all these "special editions". :indiff: I'd rather everyone have the same amount of features, cars, tracks, etc., regardless of which version they bought. I'm such a Communist! :p

blue for arcade mode

red for gt mode

black for the limited edition ad?

Thats what I'd bet on. Becuase GT2 had it like that. The 3rd disc may just be a bonus content disc with the a few short films about the making of the game and some interviews.

Just give me GT5 already, and i don't care if it has 6 discs!:sly:
:grumpy:
Put it on a USB key, make it only downloadable on PSN, have GT Booth Girls go around the world inviting fans to a Willy Wonka type chocolate factory tour, special one week trial of GT5, put golden tickets in existing GT merchandise, hold online time trial competitions with invitation to PDHQ as prizes. Whatever it takes.

For now, we need videos, even if its not new cars new tracks at least let us see in more details the work you've already done.

Ever since the summer game shows GT5's been tumbleweeds and crickets.

Thing is, we don't do we? If we got lots and lots of videos showing the same stuff, all you will all do is moan that there is nothing new being shown. They cannot win. Why not just let them get on with it, live your life a little, and them let them release more new teaser footage closer to the launch date?

Except they rarely give you a content difference.

Look at the GOW3 Ultimate Edition:

Exclusive Collectibles
• High-End Sculpted Replica of Pandora’s Box
• Limited-Edition God of War Art Book featuring exclusive art, content and interviews

Exclusive Digital Content (Available via PlayStation Network voucher codes on day of launch)
• God of War Combat Arena containing an exclusive environment and seven challenges
• Premium Kratos Skin – Dominus
• God of War: Unearthing the Legend Franchise Documentary – a full-length movie documentary depicting the history of the God of War franchise
• God of War Trilogy Soundtrack – God of War, II, and III scores from the game (mp3 digital download).
• God of War: Blood and Metal EP – a heavy metal homage featuring original music inspired by God of War (mp3 digital download).
Two souveniers, some music, and a documentary. The only additional in-game content is a skin and a challenge arena. As history shows these become available as DLC for everyone else later. So, the people who buy a limited edition don't actually get anything more, just early access at a premium price. And then it is typically stuff that doesn't change the game.

The rumored GT Limited Edition is just you paying for DLC up front, nothing special that regular edition buyers can't get.

In this image it is looking like books or maybe videos. Again, nothing that affects the game.

Limited Editions are just an excuse for die hard fans with extra money to show how die hard they are. No one gets an advantage.

Note: I am ignoring the Forza angle. If those extra cars become available as DLC then it will still meet my explanation, But until then it is a bad PR move, in my opinion.

LOL

I went from a teenager to a young adult in the time between 4 and 5. PLenty of life living.

I know for a fact I'm not gonna be around here for a bit after it releases. No one is going to be able to get a word in edgewise.

Yeah I can imagine how intense it will be. It will almost be pointless, by the time you post, no one will read it because the topic will be pages ahead of you by then lol.
R*

first case GT5
second case:a psp go with gtpsp
3rd case:a vid where Turn 10 vs. PD In A Field with guns shooting eachother then KY Blows every one up with a rocket launcher

Anyone thinks if GT5 Limited PS3 will be out as well? I wanna buy slim but I would love cool special color and stickers with GT over the slim

I think:
1. GT5
2. Track editor
3. Some crazy thing. (There are obviously some big things we dont know about.)

BT-> These 3-disc theory definitely make my head itch, so many speculations! :scared:
