I was planning to try this mod but with Mechanical damage being turned on in 4.2 this is worrying me.

Don't worry.
That is just light damages, that gets fixed automatically.
And also, some races, such as dirt trials, with slippery surface, Extreme rally car challenges and Experimental Prototype races, with very fast cars, are still turned off.
 
I still need to install this mod sometime lol but I honestly did have kind of a suggestion for a cup that could be interesting.

I'd call it East meets West Touring Cars, and it would be for the early 2000s DTM cars and the JGTC/Super GT cars in the game.

Half the tracks would be in Japan and the other half would be Germany and the Red Bull Ring.

Anyways, excited to try the mod but that's just a free idea if anyone wants it.

Nice! I'll definitely give it a try then! Are there penalties in some races? Not a fan of penalties since the AI isn't affected by them.

Yes, except for some extreme and dirt trial events, the career races has penalities, but I set them as light.
So, you will just note it more in tracks such as Monza and Deep Forest.
But don't worry, it will not be a so big time loss, just 3 seconds.

Just take a powerful car that matches the race rules.

Because i remember a lot that it was originally planned to be added on Gran Turismo 2 but was later on scrapped. 10/10 as of Update 4.2 although down slightly to 9.9/10 due to opponents not affected by any penalties whilst only player got affected with 3 second slow down penalty for even minor corner cutting and collisions.

Btw, on Update 4.3 of career Mods i hope there could be some more championships including Super GT 300 vs GT500 Championship (6 rounds), and more single make and Endurance Races like Ford Falcon XR8 single make race and possibly, Tokyo R246 100 lap race from Gran Turismo 3, as well as Apricot Hill 250km race, Midfield Raceway 300km, Fuji Speedway 500 (same Endurance race length as real life Super GT race in 2025), and Suzuka 1000km.😊

Same. I also got minor mechanical damage whilst racing on New Gen Prototype Car Race at Daytona. Although i somehow lucky to won that race. I am using the Audi R10.

Thanks for the update, and especially for the corrected VW Golf 6 R exhaust sounds. My VW Golf 6 GTI now at least sounds like the original exhaust.

The car sounds on Gran Turismo 6 Spec II Career Mods imo is 10/10 especially the BMW V12 LMR and McLaren F1 GTR that now resembles real life car sounds.

I'm glad you are enjoying my mod.
But, don't create too much expectations while demanding requests.
I will not put every requested feature on it.
Suggestions will be welcome, but will not get above my creativity.
 
Lunard updated Gran Turismo 6 Career Mod with a new update entry:

Update 4.3 available

Removed Penalty system from all race events (from novice to super series) and removed tire/fuel consumption from all races (from novice to international A series), keepingonly the light mechanical damages for all race events (except for Extreme Rally challenge and Experimental prototype challenges, with very fast cars), for give a more accessible gameplay for casual players.
And made some engine sounds adjustments for prevent glitches.

Hi @Lunard, could you confirm if this mod would work on GT6 v1.05, as v1.22 - which the Statos Mod requires - just doesn't work on RPCS3?
It doesn't, the updates to 1.22 are quite integral to the changes made in the mod. I'm not sure the game would even boot up if you applied the mod to v1.05.

There's a glitch related to this.
Maybe the cause can be a conflict between the event IDs.
I think I can fix this issue if I just remake these events from scratch.
And also I guess I can do the same for some unedited events such as Freshman cup and Gronergrat league.
But It can be risky, a little.
I fear to broke the game even more.

Do I need to play the mod on 1.22 or is it playable on 1.05 too? Graphics are very glitchy and they go down to 20-35 FPS and I get a big layer of black void over my cars.
 
Season Events 1 will feature the "Monster Tajima" mission. I suffered terribly there. I mean, regular championships are a breeze compared to these side missions:eek:
Yep. Same as Seasonal Event set #3 that some of them are unwinnable. Like the Intermediate Level Race Car Challenge at Madrid City Circuit. Only a three lap race and opponents are more powerful than the player, which is forced to adhere to a maximum of 550PP.

Hey, the mod runs perfectly on stock hardware. FPS drops start when there are more than 12 enemies at the start. If you're playing on an emulator, it's better to stick with GT5.

I'm confused as to which settings to enable or not on RPCS3 'cause I get this. Not only this but I get walls of corrupted data appearing everywhere in-race.

This isn't really the thread for emulator settings, as it relates to a specific mod, but @Maximix83 is correct, as of right now there is no way to make GT7 v1.22 stable. It is much, much, much better than it was a couple of years ago, so here's hoping we continue to see improvements, but it's just not possible to run it without glitches at the moment through emulation.

I remember a lot that the original version of Gran Turismo 6, Version 1.0 also had incomplete intro movies and some Cars have F1 engine noise, like the Ferrari FXX and Lamborghini Countach. Also, the price on these top end Race Cars on original version of GT6 (1.0) surprisingly matched the price tag from Gran Turismo 5 (like the Audi R10 TDI Stealth Model variants that still has the same price of $5.760.000), and maximum cash cap was also the same as in GT5 ($20.000.000).
 
The differences between the Career mode progression between without Career expansion Mods and with Career expansion Mods in Gran Turismo 6 is MASSIVE! Without Career Mods applied, the career modes in Gran Turismo 6 ends far too quickly even with update 1.22.... 🥲
