Also, joining the dots, Gemasolar photo location is reasonably close to Ronda, further supporting that PD spent a good time in a car-related place there. Ascari Race Resort most likely given that they have a "high-tech private garage" where the members store some of their precious rides.

Their detail when modelling real-life locations is simply jaw-dropping. Nice find Mr. Penso :)

I'm still scratching my head though. PD usually includes photomode locations of towns they visited for other purposes (Ahrweiler got included because it was close to the Nordschleife, the Grand Tour special event also indicates this), so why Ronda? I mean, it looks like a beautiful town but why is it relevant to the car world? Maybe they were gathering data from a museum/garage/private collection nearby?

Something in my subconscious kept thinking "Ascari Race Resort..." while watching all this Spain-located content. Maybe because I've read the possibility of such thing in this forums before.

Anyways, I did a bit of Google-ing and found out what is most likely the reason why the PD crew visited Spain, more specifically Ronda:

Locations

Ascari is located in the heart of Andalusia, at the centre of the Serrania of Ronda, in the province of Malaga.

The track is 10 kilometres outside Ronda, and the following distances by car from these important places:

Ronda: 7 minutes.

I bet a leg that PD visited Ascari Race Resort. It's obvious. I'm not going as far as saying that they've included the track there (although it would be damn nice!) but most likely they were there to scan the cars kept there by the ultramillionaires that belong to the club. I see no other reason why Ronda would be included.

You could be right, but it could also just be that Ronda is a very picturesque location and they wanted something to show off their hard work and improved graphics and lighting. The roads are kind of narrow through the town like most towns in Spain so it won't make for the best racing that's for sure, but it will be a lot of fun to drive.

The track itself would be awesome. A private course not usually seen by public, several layout variations available...be epic if you could drive from Ronda to the track!!

I'm loving Gran Turismo 6 so far. It looks fantastic, I love the cars confirmed so far, and the new courses added.

$399 for PS4

Treed by 1 second.

399$, heart attack.

In the trailer I see, the sun position changing in a photo mode location, along with clouds moving in time laspe fashion

Hope these are in the GT6 track and photo mode options...

Watching the whole livestream, I can only say one thing-EPIC! :)
btw, I see that Sony's 'proverbial middle finger' was stuck up at Microsoft when they talked about used games and ont being always online

Based on conference sounds like we'll need PS Plus to play online

The same could be said for the Red Bull hangar which is a very good-looking place, but was featured because of the important Red Bull commercial tie-in with GT5. Same with Ahrweiler, gorgeous spots, but why Ahrweiler among all the beautiful places in Germany? Because race track, that's why, because Ahrweiler is in the Eifel mountains just like the Nürburgring. San Galgano abbey? It's in Tuscany. Tuscany? Yup, one track and a track maker location there.

My point is, at least for GT5 PD included the photomode locations of places they visited as part of their modelling agenda. There must be one reason why Ronda is included and the only car-related reason, the only thing Ronda has that other beautiful townships in Spain doesn't is a multi-million dolar complex with a fantastic racetrack and a garage filled with mechanical candy.

Ronda is part of the course creator location in Andalusia first shown at the GT6 unveiling. Probably nothing to do with the Ascari Race Resort.

So no more GT6 and no presentation from Kaz?? I'm thankful for the initial info and presentation on GT6, but I feel somewhat let down for Sony not having Kaz do a proper presentation like for GT5. However I realize they do have to concentrate on their new console (PS4) and not on the older gen.

Hope you're right!! Anyone want to get a sneak peak at Circuito Ascari look here:

http://www.ascari.net/video.html <<< looks like a PD video already!!!

Guys, I'm making a new thread about this. Searched for Ronda GT6 in google and found a lot of spanish websites with loads of info. Definitely this is something big.

Fingers crossed PD have used Sydney or another Australian city for a photo mode/course maker location then!

anybody notice that screenshots and demos of GT6 often show a time of 11:09? Release date? 11/9/13?

Man, after hearing all of this info GT6..... I gotta get this one ASAP!!!! The GT3 cars, physics model, lighting....

....hmmm,5$ a month, translates to 60 a year, 1 new game a year...seems legit, plus i already have plus. Plus PS+ has instant transaction, deducts 5 bucks and your good...seems good to me.

And get driveclub for free...hmmm, sold.
