We've had the Aston and now the Ferrari in as many months. Feels like GT8 is getting closer, it's as if the datamined cars are just getting cleared out now. Not a bad thing by my books, very glad to have the C5 as well.

Edit: that reminds me... HAAARRRVVVEEEE!!!!

That's some slip-up from PD.
Honda CR-V, Finally, something that's common relatable and sold in my country for once.
Seems to be the pre-facelifted model though and not the one currently being sold at Honda Thailand.
The current top model CR-V sold in Thailand is called e:HEV RS 4WD with 207 PS.
That Suzuki Kei car is very common and very familiar sight to most Japanese though, I think every delivery companies in Japan had used it and when I was on a trip in Japan it was everywhere, another exciting addition as I also really want to take it for a spin, it looks tidy and cute.
Don't care much for 812 Superfast though it's simply a GTO F12 to me and F12 already felt handful to me just as Jeremy Clarkson described "You're sort of out of control", I'm looking forward for how C5 Corvette's going to sound though another GT3 A-Spec Legend.

Interesting note: this is a different Z06 C5 to the PS3 Premium one - the PS3 version was 2004, not 2001.

I believe this is the first time they've done that (change models when they already had a Premium)? The Evo IX was also different, but the old Premium wasn't an MR GSR so I don't think it quite counts.

That's some slip-up from PD.
It's PlayStation that's responsible for curating these sections of games. But otherwise, yes.
But we haven't seen the silhouettes in advance as usual?
It was a mistake this picture upload?
Yes, like it says in the article's first three paragraphs.
Two cars I will buy immediately, and two cars that make me want to go play something else instead...
I know. High-powered, front-engined, rear-wheel drive stuff is just so... same-y.

Also, really hoping the Carry gets a ton of weird body upgrades - like the tipper body or any one of a bunch of rear boxes - and is eligible for the Pickup Trophy unlike the Unimog.

Pickup Trophy or we riot, PD.

Gentleman, there's one flaw with what both of you just said and it comes in three easy to answer questions: What did those Xbox games just release on? Playstation. Who owns the playstation brand and all the subsideries? Sony. Who's profiting from those big Xbox games (and soon, another in the form of Gears Of War) being on the PS Store? Sony.

It would really do people alot of good to stop looking at this from the so outdated "wars" perspective and actually pay attention to the Business portion.
/shrug

My comment was tongue in cheek. Besides..these updates have kinda become irrelevant personally..at least since they nerfed ffb. After daily play since psvr2’s release, i think its been about two months since ive really played gt7..or touched the PlayStation. When the ffb’s lost its fun, the cars and tracks don't really seem to matter anymore.

A few days ago Turn 10 released an all time terrific update that had tons of genuine effort put into it bringing back a beloved track and a terrific set of cars including a resurrected Furai

So how does PD respond after almost two months of silence?

Adding a hybrid Honda SUV

This studio can easily be such a genuine embarrassment sometimes and its unbelievably sad

Firstly PD does not respond to other games, as has been stated constantly and ignored. Secondly the new cars in Forza are indeed very nice but some of them, including the Furai, are paid DLC - it's not an equivalent situation with GT7's free updates.

I actually like the addition of the CRV, especially as it's not the base version but the AWD one. There's more to life and motoring than hypercars and drifters.

So how does PD respond
It doesn't.

This is the planned update. It's not a response to anything anyone else has done - much less what they did two days ago, because unless you think PD has a library of content stored up that it adds on a whim, it's not actually possible to respond that quickly.

PD rarely even acknowledges other games exist, and continues to plough its own furrow like it always has done. We're more than 27 years in at this point, 15 of which have been titles supported with post-launch content - and I don't know how it continues to come as a shock to people.

Thoughts on the 4 cars:
  • Ferrari 812 Superfast: very welcome and plenty of oomph to follow.
  • Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C5): no more mowing about generations anymore.
  • Honda CR-V: interesting choice - may be tempted to make a custom championship with the CR-V, CH-R and CX-30 (If I’ve missed another similar car then do tell me).
  • Suzuki Super Carry KC: may not be the Midget but it’s still a Kei truck so let’s give this plenty of love and respect.

This is a decent update I like the cars especially the C5. Before I read the article I did think the Suzuki was the Midget but it's cool. I will buy one. I do wish there was a new track. Looking forward to the engine swaps.
