Three cars:
  1. TYPE_37A_28
  2. 500E_91 or FIAT PANDA
  3. DELTA_S4_RALLY_86 or RALLY_037_EVO_2_84
No new tracks. More swaps, more scapes, more Sophy tracks.

Maybe they return Michelin tires (why not).

Tuesday when I booted up, I did see this as the first demo image. May not be a kei car since it has 1.2L(and the dreaded CVT), but it’s a baby Forester and just about fits in with the Suzuki Jimny. That’d open it up for more smaller SUVs to fill that bit of the segment in game.
It also comes with a 1.0L turbo 3-cyl engine plus manual transmission as well, if you're interested.
(and AWD too, forgot if it's only for the 1.2L or the 1.0L turbo has it as well)

My prediction is no update this month.

PD always had one month summer break in updates.

Statistically…
I’m with this guy ☝️😶
If not for that, I’d just repeate myself with WRX or Type-R ”gapfillers” and the odd, new to series from the, not anymore too obvious, ”datamined list”.🦜

Then again: I like surprises. And GT excels in them. Speaking of wich: an update would be the biggest one to start with.
So yeah… Maybe there will be a third summer update after all?

I would soon expect an announcement contained within an update for PS4 users communicating the end of online service for 2026, with transactions ending earlier in the PS store.
With GT7 being an official live service game PD will likely have features to add for the online races that PS4 cant cope with, the single player side they can keep seperate with Sophy etc. But there comes a point when the PS4 support must end, I think that time will be notified soon so they can add some interesting features for multiplayer services.
I have been reading recently about a continued push by Sony for live service games, and for exisitng certain dual PS5/PS4 games producers ending support for PS4 and encouraging PS5 use.
So this needs to happen about this season or new GT version news.

Again, my two cents, which are worthless because my ability to decipher Yamauchi-san's mind patterns isn't as good as some of yours.

BMW M5 '05

Because it's been a while since we've seen a BMW, and that car is close to my heart and also in the datamined leak.

Audi RS6 '02
1000455659.webp

Because it's also been a while since an Audi has appeared, it's in the datamined leak and the game needs more SWs.

Honda Prelude 2026
1000455660.webp

Because... Why Not? It's a Honda, a new one BTW, Gran Turismo and Honda have long liked each other, it's a car with a long history of appearances in Gran Turismo and now returns after a long hiatus. A Hybrid, just like Yamauchi-san has been enjoying lately and even though it hasn't been released yet, it's not like we never had cars in the series before the official launch.

For my three cars I am going to go Mazda Cosmo 110A, Since we have seen a few Stellantis vehicles and it has been awhile since we had an American vehicle I choose the 2023 Dodge Hornet GT which was a competitor to the CX-30 and finally we haven't had any Pagani vehicles in awhile either so I choose the Pagani Utopia. There will be engine swaps including one for the Cosmo which got an RX 7 engine but I don't remember the exact year. Also the Tuscan will get a V12 swap so people like me can have a version of the Speed 12. They add Sophy to a couple more tracks Watkins Glen and maybe the no chicane version of Le Sarthe

Their social media has been promoting the new car list on the GT7 website

This could be the reason they wanted to get the update posts out the way early to start promoting this before their summer break

Mazda cosmo has to come back to gt sometime. Its such a legend. Should have been in gt7 already

If I had to base it on what the previous update included:

1. Crossover - Maybe a Ford Puma ST or regular? It's proven quite popular in europe.

2. Tuner Car - I can't really think of anything.
3. Economy Car - I think we may get the Fiat Panda as seen was being worked on previously.

If I had to pick one car that might get into the game at a future date, maybe the new Renault 5? There's already a Renault 5 Turbo in the game, and the new Renault 5 uses that for inspiration, plus we've recently got the Kangoo, again, unlikely.

It would have to be faster than a 2CV though. Plus these possibilities ;) :

Interesting that when GT Sport debuted, it was the 60th anniversary of the Trabant. Also, 65th anniversary when GT7 debuted.

It's not just slow. It's an AWFUL car to drive. I can only imagine (as I've never driven one) the 2CV is better to drive. At least it has decent suspension. With the Trabant you'd have to turn off any haptics/Butt Kickers for certain. Otherwise, you're likely to end up with permanent spinal injuries. I had to drive through France in one... The amount of obscenities I lobbed at this little hateful thing...

Why does this Purosangue look like someone cut the wheel arches and headlight slots manually with a big pair of scissors, and not very well at that?
Well I found another photo and I see why you said what you said, the wheel arches are black and in contrast it blends in with shadows and wheels, as for the headlight ports my only guess is that it's designed that way(?)

Just gonna throw this in here, if we are still going to follow the 'the sporty, the quirky and the SUV/crossover' pattern, then I might say:

1) Mitsubishi Galant VR-4: a sporty and pretty significant Mitsu that few seem to remember, and counts as a returning vehicle if it's the 1987 model. IMO, it's been a while since we got a Mitsu in an update and I'd say this would be a nice addition.

2) Fiat Panda: We know it's in the works, and maybe this month (or next if there is no update) would be ripe for it to come.

3) Chevrolet Suburban: Very wild pick, but this is PD we're talking about. Fits the SUV trend very nicely.

Other than that, the usual Sophy update for a track that isn't Fuji, extra Scapes, the usual.

I think we'd get a Dodge Ram 1500 first. There's low resolution Rams all over the background.

There's low-res Audi RS4 Avants and Acura CLs all over the place too. You think those are coming back for the same reason?

Actually yes. lol The CL was a cover car, believe it or not, once upon a time.

Always my prediction for the next Kei entry. To be fair, there's precedence for it:
1) Returning car from older GTs
2) Another keitora has been featured that, at one point, was a direct competitor to it - The DA gen Carry, which the 2012 KC is the final MY of, competed with the Midget II from 1999 until the Midget II ceased production.
3) The devs have been adding keis at a notable pace as of late
