As I thought too, they like to bring the newer updates car engine to the mix. LFA and Challenger.
2jz on new Supra is common though in formula drift, Nismo r35 on nismo 400r is pointless imo, Maverick on Ford F-150 is good, XJR-9 engine on XJ220 is highly requested, MR2 engine to Corolla Levin is okay, I would like LFA better. LFA on Supra is a detune yes. Also I like the epson NSX gr.2 2008 engine sound better than the 2016.

Genuinely perplexed why the 3S-GTE is sourced from the MR2 rather than the Supra GT500. They even have the Celica rally car and the base Celica with a power advantage over the MR2. Someone with knowledge and know-how, insight me why they'd forgo the engines with efficient fuel economy and power.

inb4 they strategically add the AE111s back (or even, the JTCC AE92) just so that the Truenos can get the "red top" 4A-GE.

• 3S-GTE-MR2 to Levin: Trueno GT300 (whose engine was sourced from MR2) - could have said Sho's 86-Lev from Racing Lagoon but that also has a 4A-GE as a starter (you can get and install a MR2 engine in that game though).
