I have a question about something I noticed:

When I replace an engine, do I have to have it in my workshop?

On Thursday, I saw that I can replace the engine in the Gran Turismo F3500-B with the Renault Espace F1 engine. But I didn't win this engine, so I don't actually have it in my workshop, right?

Do you buy the engines that you swap? That would justify the price.

But then the question arises, where do I store all the engines in the garage, as well as the tuning parts?

When you buy the engine swap in GT Auto it just replaces whatever was in the car, otherwise you can win them from tickets and those get stored as parts that you can then apply to the correct car.

You can either win engine swaps on roulette tickets, or after a certain collectors level (can't remember the exact point) you can purchase them through GT Auto.

Whenever you swap an engine, the one that is removed is gone completely.

And if I win the engine from the Renault Espace F1 with a ticket, for example, will the exchange be free of charge?

Just was thinking about the same. I hope for other seasons, 'cause I'm not sure I would feel happy with 94.
So looking at the F1 regs 3.5L NA engines of multiple cylinder configs were used between 1989 and 1994 with 3.0L engines introduced in '95.
I'm thinking of taking my pick of the best looking liveries between those years and whose cars aero kits can be replicated too.

Lancer Gr.B on FTO is expected.
It's not very obvious to me. In the game, we have an FTO with a 6A12 engine, but we want to install a 4G63T. The FTO also used the 4G93 engine, which is similar in design to the 4G63T, but they are still quite different in terms of layout. It seems to me that a much more interesting replacement would be the 6A13TT, but that engine isn't in the game, but its older twin, the 6G72TT, is.

The GT300 car used a 4G63T. Coupled with its widebody GT Auto Type B parts, the Evo Gr.B (which is actually a 4B11T) is an obvious reference.
