It´s just a prediction, but after months without new tracks, this would be lovely

Translated with DeepL: "Hyundai is working with the Gran Turismo franchise to implement hill climbs in GT7. More details on this project will be announced at a later date."
Hyundai's specialist motorsport and performance division, N, has announced that it plans to collaborate with Gran Turismo for "various sim racing activities". The announcement coincides with this weekend's Nurburgring 24 Hours, in which Hyundai will be seeking to defend its TCR category title --
www.gtplanet.net
The Hyundai press release states:
"Hyundai N and Gran Turismo will collaborate again for various sim-racing activities including Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC) participation."
It doesn't state that PPIHC will be in GT7, or that hill climbs will be, or that it'll be anything actually in GT at all.
Yeah, we're now into record territory for time and number of updates since a track.
That either means we're due one to break the slump, or never getting another
It does kinda feel right that there should be something coming, but then again it would seem like London would be the right place to show it... and there's no TBA in the schedule. Manufacturers is Tokyo Expressway South Clockwise (for qualifying, hyperpole, and final) and Nations is Grand Valley Highway-1/X2019s for qualifying and the final race and La Sarthe/Valkyries for the sprint race.
The last track in an update I really enjoyed would be between Road Atlanta or Watkins Glen. I don’t count Lake Louise or Eiger. I just don’t have fun on those tracks. So for me it feels like it’s been a really long time since getting a new track. When forza released and showed fall leaves in the trailer I was certain we would get Autumn Ring. I was wrong. Tracks breathe new life into the game (the right ones) but cars just limp it along imo.

Just as a small hope, if I remember correctly they announced Eiger during a World Tour event, but neither the track nor the new cars were used during said event
I have thought of some possible candidates for that race car slot based on my old Race car/Road Car theory I had before:
- Porsche 911 GT3 R '23: This is something that didn't occur to me until now: The last three GR.3 additions that race in the Manufacturers Cup (Subaru BRZ GT300 '21, The Mercedes AMG GT3 '20 and the Nissan GT-R GT3 Nismo '18) all have road going models in the game either from launch or via updates (The Subaru BRZ S '21, the Mercedes AMG GT Black Series '20 and the Nissan GT-R Nismo '17). Based on this, coupled with the fact that we already have the Porsche 911 GT3 RS '22 from a previous update, this is a car that feels very likely to be added. It also completes an interesting trio of 992 generation 911s, one which includes the 2020 911 Turbo S from a previous update along with the aformentioned 911 GT3 RS.
- Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII Rally Car '99: Another vehicle with a Road car in the game, exactly the same situation we had with the Subaru Impreza Rally Car 98 and its 22B counterpart. Not only would it fit that bill but would also make for a nice Nostalgic Rivalry with those Subarus.
- Aston Martin Vantage GT3 '19: Pretty much the same reasoning as the Porsche 911 GT3 R. Yes it unfortunately means it won't be the 2023 Facelift we've all come to know and love (at least for me, its quite the visual improvement), but it fits in line for many of the same reasons. Would also make for a somewhat updated GR.3 option for the Manufacturers Cup so there's that.
- Chevrolet Corvette C8.R '20: I know, this is a Highly optimistic one given what we know about the Pratt Miller - Polyphony Digital situation. The moment we saw that rear wing as an option on the 2020 Corvette C8, we all knew where that was from.. but think about this: The fact that they did this and then doubled down on it doing similar thing with the recently added C5 Z06 ( featuring a wing from yet ANOTHER Pratt Miller Car) would leave me to think that PD aren't just confidently strolling with the most flagrant example of "Better to ask for forgiveness then Permission" (At least I hope they aren't), that maybe a change has happened and MAYBE the two have actually mended things. Why even risk the legal headache once, let alone twice? If things have been mended, it makes this this yet another potential one to consider. Sure its not the current Z06 GT3.R but its still a recent GR.3 addition for the Manufacturers Cup and technically, the only GTE car that in real life did race against both GTE AND GT3 cars so its a flexible option for online leagues too.
- Lancia Stratos Rally Car '77: Since PD seem more keen to add classic rally machines then current ones (we haven't gotten a current season WRC machine since GT5), this would be another to fit the bill. It also is yet another series staple having appeared in GT2 in fictional form and then in actual form in GT4.
Going to change slightly to a car Kaz said he owned:
- Mitsubishi FTO
Reason being is the sport coupes probability. Even though it's FF, it's got a V6. There are a host of sports coupes in this game with six-cylinders. Bringing back a Gran Turismo favourite and something two-wheel drive, adds to that contingent.
Similar to the datamine Fiat Couple Turbo. Both cars will be a sort of first FF "sport sedan" three-box car to be available in GT7.

I thought that, if they couldn't mend their supposedly burned bridges with P&M, they might want the GT Movie C8 prop car back. (IIRC it was listed on sale, but I lost the post.)

I would totally liked that C8 race car even if its not a proper C8.R - it had a custom widebody , they still can do any widebody to have their own Gr.3 race car without P&M
There's the thinnest of all possibilities: PD has shown little appetite to go for LMH/LMDh cars in the five years that the category has been racing, aside from the Toyota GR010, but we have seen quite a few Ferraris added. Although it is the 499P.
I would be very, very surprised to see it any time soon, but it's not totally improbable.

3 cars (another CUV, another meme car, and another duplicate very similar revision of a car already in the game, probably a Miata if I had to take a guess)
No track
No removal of invitation system and parts tickets
Scapes
Events I won't ever race
Swaps I will never use
People crying because of the lack of current gen GT3s
The usual suspects parroting the good old "gT7 is dEaD" and "tHeY'rE saViNg iT for Gt8" arguments.
Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR Strassenversion '97-'00 <---- Historic/important to the brand and new + PD have worked with AMG before and this is a no brainer, is also technically closing a generation gap as it's the LMs older sibling and would finally complete the GT1 road going holy trinity.
Nissan Z Nismo '24 <---- New(er) and ties in with PD's Nissan partnership
Renault Espace F1 '94 <--- Returning (Race?)car and quirky enough to be something PD would add, would be a 'meme' car I think alot would enjoy.
RUF Yellowbird -----> Returning to the series and is technically both it's own car or a heavily tuned variant depnding on how you look at it. Also was on the datamine so it'll probably appear at some point and would be the best out of the gate rival for the F40 since the 959 is too slow unless upgraded.
Tracks:No new ones

1. Cars
I won't really put in any new Gr. 3 car since it's pretty much wishful thinking, but I'm somewhat thinking of either a Subaru or a Mitsubishi for one of the slots since its been a while since one of their cars showed up (the Impreza WRC and Evo 9). Plus another everyday car that the Twitter crowd will cry a river on.
2. Track
Again, very wishful thinking to expect one this time even if its GTWS season.
3. Other stuff
More Sophy support, some more engine swaps, the usual stuff.
A Porsche 992 Gr.3 car. Either the Cup or the GT3 R, take your pick. I try to avoid predicting modern Gr.3 cars, but I'm giving it a shot for once. Here's my incredibly tortured logic: The Viewers Campaign ticket is not being released until the update. One reason this could be is because a potential reward won't be available in the game until then. The Valkyrie is of course in the game, which means if that's the case it has to be a Gr.3 car of a competing manufacturer. Of those, it won't be a Ferrari, Subaru, BMW or Lexus, because the promotional picture shows the 458, BRZ, M6 and RC F. It also wouldn't be an AMG, Mazda, Nissan, or Honda because those Gr.3 cars are up-to-date (I also don't think they'd put the Huracán Evo 2 in as anything more than GT Auto parts). That leaves the Toyota GR Concept, McLaren 720S GT3, and a Porsche. I just think the Porsche is most likely of those three, so I'm picking it.
I don't know why people have any expectation of a new car from that prize. PD have done the exact same competition for previous live events, and the prize was the existing car not anything new.

People are really starving for any new GT3 car. I would love to get new one also, but I doubt we will get any new Gr 3 car, maybe some older models, but the newer ones I really don’t see them coming. Maybe in GT8

Yeah I get the GT3 thirst (exarcebated by PD always running Gr3 races in Sport mode) and I hope we get one in an update before support ends, but that viewers campaign prize is specifically for the manufacturer that wins the live event on 7 June. PD would either have to have 12 new GT3s ready so they can pick the one from the brand that wins, or the competition would need to be rigged.
Even if there isn't a June update, it doesn't mean that the game is dead.
Aside from the fact that it's already been explicitly stated that there'll be an update after the end of the Viewers Gift Campaign, we're currently only two weeks post-1.59; even if June is skipped and there is an update right at the end of July, that'd be 77 days. We've gone 70 days between updates before - 1.49 to 1.52 - and we've gone 95 days with only one update (1.49, between May 24's 1.48 and 1.52 in October).
Japanese SUV/Crossover (90% chance it’ll probably be a Nissan Qashqai or Juke)
Another Kei car (I wish it was the Autozam AZ-1, but it’ll probably be either a Mazda Scrum or the Honda Acty, which would give the Suzuki Carry some competition)
Group 2 car (Either the new Honda GT500 car or the Nissan R390 GT1)
And this one is a bit of a stretch, but I’m hoping we’ll get a new Group A rally car
As for tracks, if we do get a new track it’ll probably be Motegi (Although the return of Apricot Hill would be welcome)
I predict that next weekend we'll see a "live" trailer announcement just like they did last year in Montreal and it will be a 6-car update with a track. It could be Motegi, but I think that the lead time between scanning and releasing it is much longer than just a year (when were the first 3D models of the Jungfraujochbahn station in Kleine Scheidegg released? 2021?) There are PD keynotes showing a feasibility study on Yas Marina that I think date back to 2023 or earlier (correct me if I'm wrong about the dates) and in another presentation there was a depiction of tropical vegetation, therefore I guess (based on a bit of evidence, but with low confidence) that the new track will be a Tahiti Maze remaster, just to continue with the "rally-like" tracks after Lake Louise (snow), Eiger (tarmac with lots of hairpins and elevation) with a dirt track.
For the cars, I copypaste my old post from 1.59 predictions and then elaborate further down.
Will I get at least 1 correct prediction? I'm almost sure I won't. Did I have a great fun writing this prediction? Of course yes, I hope you can agree with some of the points I tried to make

I can feel a European Sunday Cup 400 coming, since it has only 5 events, and I would see it on a "city track", hence a Tokyo configuration, which would be fitting for a city car, which seems to be their focus recently, imho to flesh out the car park for GT8 while avoiding to have most of the new cars at launch being "bland". At the same time, given their partnership with Mazda and Toyota, I believe they won't give a European competitor the spotlight for a vehicle currently on the market, hence I'd think this fills the UCD spot pointed out by @Famine with a '90s car (so that its PP is low enough to fit in 400 but is not so old to go in Sunday Cup Classic), so I'd predict a 1996 VW Golf GTI Mk III, which checks all these boxes. I'd say it's not the Panda, as we only saw it in April and it was still in modeling, when the XJ220 was shown, I think it took like 3-4 months to eventually come to the game. Also, the Fiat/FIAT brand update in Brand Central as pointed out by @GT Electro took place in February, so that gives a bit of a timeframe to when they started including it in the game, therefore I wouldn't expect it this "season", but rather in the September update.

This is another event that seems empty and has the potential to be updated, which would fill the second European vehicle from Famine's prediction (I feel like it's going to be 2 EU/1 JP/1 USA) and the LCD slot through the addition of a BMW 2002 (present from the infamous datamine list), although I have a very reliable source telling me that instead it's going to be a 1981 BMW M5 E28 or a 1992 BMW E31 850 CSi.
The source is that it was revealed to me in a dream.

Eiger Nordwand (v1.49-Feature race for the addition of Eiger)
Grand Valley South (v1.54-Jimny Sierra)
Evolution Meeting
Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa + Miyabi Reverse (v1.52)
Autodromo Nazionale Monza (v1.52)
Colorado Springs - Lake (v1.52)
Therefore my prediction for cars is the following:
1981 BMW M5 E28 or 1992 BMW E31 850 CSi for the absolutely valid and scientific reasons presented above
1996 VW Golf GTI Mk III for the other aforementioned reasons
1970 Suzuki Jimny LJ10 as it features in the museum and it would make sense to add a new Jimny event
2008 Subaru Impreza 20th Anniversary Edition WRX STI. PD seems to select high level trims and this could fit in, also to eason about the new events to add Apparently the infamous "list" has a 2010 Sedan version, so my prediction about the hatchback version seems less plausible
2007 Mazda Roadster NC would be a returning premium and the subject of Special Events in the weeklies following the update
1986 Lancia Delta S4 Rally, as @Famine calculated, it could be plausible to see a race car, this is one of the most requested, so it would make sense to slot it in a large update, and the event featuring it would be coherent with the type of update.
Therefore, the 5 events (reconstructed with the same logic as the 1.49 update events) would be, according to this logic
European Sunday Cup 400 @ Tokyo, showcasing the Golf
Schwarzwald Cup @ Deep Forest, showcasing the BMW (also, the event is called "Black Forest", therefore an event at Deep Forest would make sense, no? Although it is not in the Black Forest, where by the way not even the Nurburgring is located)
Jimny Cup @ Tahiti Maze, to showcase the Jimny and the new track
Japanese 4WD 600 @ Tahiti Maze, showcasing the Impreza and the new track
World Rally Challenge @ Tahiti Maze, showcasing the Delta and the new track
No new event for the Mazda as it would be highlighted in Special event races.
I don't know why people have any expectation of a new car from that prize. PD have done the exact same competition for previous live events, and the prize was the existing car not anything new.
I said the logic was tortured, to be fair! Ah well.
I got bored of just going "here's what kind of likely" a few months ago, because it's bland and realistically you'll still be wrong every time. This thread is way more fun when you take a wild shot or two (but still have at least some tenuous logic behind said shot).
For those wondering by the way, the announcement last year that they'd be showing the 1.49 update trailer in Montreal was the Thursday of the week before. Which would have been today if it had been the same this year.
Now, trying to establish a pattern from one data point is very silly, they could easily announce it tomorrow and make this post look foolish. But I think it's worth knowing at least.
