I think it is why PD are holding content back to release when Forza comes out.
I honestly don't think PD pay THAT much attention as some would like to believe. Yes they are a Sony studio and all this jazz, but we need to remember that PD doesn't seem to operate in anyway like a modern Dev team. I seriously doubt any Forza news will be that big a deal to them, they'll just do whatever they do and that's it.

Hold it, I think there was a time at the end of GT Sport where letting go was quicker in the road cars but I don't believe that's a things now

That got fixed in one of the recent updates
I use gear paddles and just hold, unless I'm in the mood of doing a street car race with gear stick + clutch pedal, which happens very few times
