I can’t even recall playing GTAV this year.

Seeing as everyone else is doing it...

Happy to see someone have the same thoughts about the game.

They did add GT Sophy which is nice, unfortunately the payouts are not that great.
Maybe they could raise the payouts a bit with the weekly challenges, like we had in GT5. That would be nice.

In terms of cars, i don't complain, i think it was a good mix of old and new. Do wish we get another track soon, maybe early 2025? :)
Agree they could do more with Sophy in upcoming updates.

Has anyone else noticed that since the introduction of Sophy, the "Regular AI" in the game has gotten much better and more competitive and realistic? I remember what the AI used to be like with all the cars evenly spaced between each other directly along the optimal driving line. Nowadays it's much different, and I actually enjoy several of the races. I'm almost exclusively a single-player mode guy (with the exception of the Online TTs), so this has made the game more enjoyable

Sure but PD did not make it for us.

And I am not sure how many think it is important to have 0 mileage cars 😅 outside of a small niche of weird folks like here.
Precisely my thought. Since we're kind of in our own echo chamber here on GTPlanet, I think many people overlook the fact that we are the exception, not the rule, when it comes to the overall target audience of GT7.

It's been fun reading the comments about the new demo on this thread. It sounds like it's a perfect idea from their marketing department to go after an untapped audience just around Christmas when there will certainly be some kids with new PS5s under their Christmas tree this year. And if their parents didn't get them GT7, the demo will likely encourage them to cough up $30 more of their XMAS money to Sony/PD for the privilege of playing arguably the best racing franchise in history.

As for us enthusiasts, as @Scaff, @OldandSlow, and others have said, it seems there are a few nuggets of joy in the demo for us as well. I'm certainly motivated to check it out now :)

Great to see Gran Turismo 7 still at the top after so long - and very well deserved, but for anyone looking for a festive treat, try out the much under rated & now at a bargain price Wreckfest, , not to everyone's taste i know, but 20 laps of Boulder Bank is quite fun

Thought Sophy didn't achieve anything with people saying it's no different than the chili pepper races. While you also said there's more that can be done with it... dunno about expressing something positive about it (people who do are usually deemed as sheeps).

Otherwise, I guess they're meant to be 'trainers', for machine learning.

Dunno what do you think or people think of FlatOut cuz this is from the same developer.

Has anyone had the issue of GT7 crashing everytime you head into GT Auto? I've got over 3000+ hours and today is the first time I've had this issue.

Edit - It's crashing with everything I choose now whether it's my garage, brand central. Used Cars etc

Might be an idea to clear your network data in the game's Options (GT -> Options -> Network).

If that doesn't resolve it, force your console to rebuild its database.

If that doesn't resolve it, uninstall the game and force your console to rebuild its database, then reinstall the game.

OK I'm at my PS5 now. So I'm going try what you said. Thanks for the input, much appreciated.

Ok, I’ve playing GT7 for 23 days this year. I don’t think I’m playing it all that much, but I guess it all adds up.
You mean 23x24h or 23 times? The wrapup does not show me days, only hours.

Minor question: between the two Honda Civic Type R models I’ve obtained from the two Honda competitions - where they’re both dressed like Super Taikyu cars - it’s only the 2024 one that has Korone near the front fender, right? In other words, how else would I tell the two apart? They look identical…
