5 cars is not for every month, it only comes when the prior month or following month doesn't have DLC at all. 3 cars per month is the standard for updates.

Also, where are you getting the idea that we're getting 3-4 tracks next year?
I think he was being sarcastic. But I'm expecting 3 cars each month, 2 tracks in 2025 (and maybe B-spec + endurances races?)

I think too. At the moment B-Spec is out of question. And the other points are cleary exagerated. I'd be over the moon if only one of them gets to be a reality 😅

Repetitive as it gets, try GT7 on PSVR2 and all the problems about "content" dissappear.

I get it's not in everyone's taste or budget but there's no better way to enjoy the experience.

I am pessimistic towards 2025. 2 months in a row of updates will be a rarity. Most of the year will be updates every 2 months. Still we will have one bigger update with the introduction of a new track.

Personally, I'm looking forward to what else could be coming next month. I'm already anticipating the Ioniq 5 N and the F3500T-A, but I bet there'll be more to the January update, even if it's just one additional new car that we don't know about. More wheels could be nice, like maybe more designs from Spoon or OZ Racing - more center-lock designs would be especially cool!

As for my six-star parts gift from the login campaign, I got an Ultra High RPM Turbo for the 13B, so that's neat, especially since I have two 13Bs to spare.

There were heated discussions SOPHY was never coming to console in GT7. Yet, here we are. :sly:

Except they told us the B-Spec shown at GTWS was not intended to come to us. Contrarily to Sophie they touted everywhere, which is, in its current state disappointing to the point where regular AI can be better (in some pepper races and missions)

I actually may skip next week’s daily races entirely come Monday, and instead try to complete both the last remaining race I have for the X2019 Nations Cup Bonus Menu - which is at Sardegna Road Track A - and this current set of Weekly Challenges. The latter of which also means simultaneously making progress on the Bonus Menu for the Evolution Meeting. For that, I had an Escudo-swapped Lancer Evo X that could be fun to use.

I do genuinely hope we get more racing venues, and possibly additional layouts for current venues like Suzuka West. Although I don’t think we’ll get any historic layouts, though, as much as I’d love to see Fuji Speedway with the massively banked first turn from its initial incarnation. Maybe we could still see a Tokyo South, too, or an additional layout for Colorado Springs.

I’d especially love to see more Connecticut-based content such as Lime Rock Park, models from Callaway, and maybe the town of Mystic as a scapes locale. Yeah, that’d be perfect!

EDIT: Not to mention that I think an overhaul of the invite system and more mission sets would be splendid as well!

EDIT2: And what of the potential Extra Menu motifs we could see? I’m still personally holding out for ones based on certain designers like Giorgetto Giugiaro, Frank Stephenson, Bertone, and/or Pininfarina. Or maybe one based on Cosworth, or the Ford “RS” label. Honestly, speaking of which, all we’d really need for a Stephenson-themed Extra Menu is the road-going McLaren P1, and then it could easily join the Ferrari F430 and the 2005 Mini Cooper.

What do you mean? We are getting B-Spec mode, every month 5 cars, changes on the online component, endurance races and we are getting 3-4 new tracks in 2025.
B-spec is very unlikely for gt7, tracks proably just 1, 2 at most for 2025
I expect things to slow down from now, i hope gt8 gets revealed at some point in 2025,

Yes people, i was being sarcastic. B-Spec i don't think we will see in GT7, maybe GT8. 5 Cars every month, yeah we wish.
As far as new tracks go: i don't get my hopes up. We only got one new track in 2024, if i'm correct, so maybe one new track in 2025?
The only thing i hope and hopefully certainly comes in 2025 are endurance races. (Also wishful thinking from my part).

The general rule with Sophy-related stuff is - if the details are coming from a Sony AI source (like the current B-Spec stuff is), file it in your mind as "cool for GT8, don't expect it sooner".

Only start getting excited if it's PD themselves trying to talk about/market it.

I still wouldn’t rule it out as per this article.
It remains to be seen if this will be coming to Gran Turismo 7, but Kaushik Subramanian — senior research scientist at Sony AI — seems positive that feedback from this event will result in something that players will be able to use in the future:
It doesn’t say “not”.

My general rule is “What if…..?” everything and speculate and have fun and I don’t know what we’re getting and using what I already got and we get what we get.

Didn't GT7 get released only 2 years and 9 months ago? is it really time to reveal another GT game already?

Here's a question for debate.

What are peoples opinions on if the quantity of content was increased, at the expense of the quality?
e.g. More cars/tracks, but less detailed in order for that development speed to be possible?

I don't think there's a definitively correct answer to this, but what do you all think?

It sure did. Seems this guy is so tired of GT7 already, he just wants to skip to the next one while ignoring it hasn't even been 3 years.

This doesn't work, people absolutely notice and criticise it when you put out uneven quality. Honestly I'd go as far as to say "uneven" is worse than "consistently lower quality" because it stands out more.

Even ignoring the elephant in the room of GT5/6 Standard cars, there's a good current example in contemporary Forza Motorsport where, for example, the Evo III is fresh and polished and correct, but later Evos are ill-modelled ports from previous games, and it just looks wrong when you put them on the track together.

To be fair the time between GT Sports release and GT7s announcement was shorter than that (2 years 8 months). It then took almost 2 more years before it was actually released.
GT8 will probably still be a while away when it gets announced.

A new gt title is in general revealed after 2-3 years, just look at past titles, gt sport was revealed in 2015 2 years after gt6 launch,
Gt7 was first revealed 2020 3 years after gt sport launch.

Why? So we can have another sub standard one player game again.

We clearly dont know what pd plans are,
Their is huge pontential, if they take advantage of it is a different story,

All this work towards sophy ai should mean a more complete single player once its ready,
It will not be in gt7 through, We all now at this point that gt8 is in the works,

Pd and Sony cant afford to sleep on it through or the Will lose players to assetto corsa evo and given on whats been Said and showcased for ac evo, it could set serious pressure on gt
And forza, it already sounds far more impressive than any gt or forza game ever created, and thats from a much smaller dev team. Its clear they listen more to what the community want, backing by Sony and microsoft might not always be a good thing, because they might not allow they devs to do the work they want.

I have 2000 hours of gt7 and would not spend that time if it was not fun or good,
But We have to be objective too,

As great as gt7 is with the things its doing very well, like car models sounds, customize options, vr etc, the single player is very bad
And with almost 3 years on the market and not much have changed for the better as single player is concerned.

Its very barebones, its no secret by now that gt7 has become a bit sterile, the Updates is not enough either, would much rather have new game at this point to have new experince again.

If pd dosent bring any intresting stuff for 2025 its not to much of a big deal for me, ac evo will have me covered for most of 2025
But i still hope for at least a reveal for next gt some point next year.

The point I'm making is the fact you've been insisting on a new GT game even when GT7 was barely 2 Years old. It's not about whether you liked it or not or if the game has been good, it's that you've been beating this same ol' drum ad nauseum and seemingly nonstop (With the occasional exaggerated threat of PD losing customers to whatever far lesser known game has been announced or coming out). We definately don't know PD's plans, but how sure are you that GT8 ISN'T gonna be more of the same? How sure are that the same barebones career mode just with "8" attached to it will be worth it then the one that launched with "7" back in 2022?

Definitely quality over quantity for me.
For all what GT7 is lacking in terms of content, the quality of what actually is in the game creates an experience with such depth, that no other game I played yet has given me.

We clearly dont know witch was what i said,
It might be a bad single player again,
But i doubt they do the same café thing they did with gt7, but Hopefully the ai will be better, the ai is a joke in gt7, just a better ai would make it a lot better,

I never said gt8 is coming soon, all i have been saying is that a reveal in 2025 is very possible,
Of course no release any time soon,

Pd will have competetion from assetto corsa evo once and it fully release on ps5,

Its not like the first ac1 where it was no progression, career mode or customize cars etc, ac evo will have overall more features than gt7, and the first racing game We ever seen that have both open world and racing tracks,
In the base game, it sure looks like ac evo will have the best features from both fh5, gt7 and even tdu, witch would mean that the others need to step up, gt7 had zero competetion when it launched, gt8 could face good competetion from ac evo no doubt

Almost everybody gets that at first. You have to get used to it - once you do (and everybody does eventually) holy ****.

Agreed, my first headset was psvr2 and the immersion is absolutly fantastic, got sick the first time, but after my 2nd go it was fine even with longer periods.

Its shame no racing games besides gt7 does vr at all for console.

Given PD's history, I don't believe that GT7 will receive revolutionary updates, which will suddenly add a relevant number of modern racing cars and super sports cars and several circuits. Its GT7 structure is this, and it will not be now after almost three years that it will be reinvented.

I think that until the end of 2025 we will continue with this pace of updating, that is, one or two circuits perhaps, half a dozen modern and electric cars, another half a dozen classic street cars and two racing cars, probably.

The year 2026 should be sparse with updates for the new game to be released at the end of the year.

You talk about GT8, but I don't believe that this will be the next PD game.

Based on historical references, PD has always worked with an appetizer or preparatory game before launching a numbered game.

I speculate that PD will launch GT Sport 2 or something similar, probably at the end of 2026, taking as a reference the launch window from GT6 to GT Sport, and GT Sport to GT7.

And, in this game, the new GT3, GTE, GT2, LMDh, LMh, TCR racing cars should appear, and also some fictional ones, in short, those cars that we are all wanting for GT7.

After all, that's what PD did within the production window between GT6 and GT Sport, producing several new, modern and original racing cars that we had never seen in the franchise.

It happen once, dosent mean it will happen again, their is no reason why not all those stuff could be featured for gt8.
