Is there cheating on iRacing ? AMS ? LMU ? Or even modding ?also cheating/hacking the sport mode which would be horrible

As far as we're aware, no there wasn't... so no it wasn'tSupposedly there was a PC port in development, but it was shelved.
Don't know about those games but there's cheating in the PC port of F1 games, so it's possible to cheat in racing games. There's also cheating on PS4 FPS games though, so it's not like a game is immune because it's on console. You still need to have anti cheat measures. Is there cheating on iRacing ? AMS ? LMU ? Or even modding ?
I think the persistent rumour (on Twitter/Reddit etc) is more to do with the Nvidia Geforce leak. GT7 and Demon’s Souls are the only PS games left from it that haven’t been released on PC, so people will still insist they are coming. As far as we're aware, no there wasn't... so no it wasn't
A lot of places took our article in which Kazunori Yamauchi said it had been considered and looked into as if it was actively being pursued, so he later had to deny that (someone even quoted us saying it was to him in a question and... we just didn't say that) and then the whole game of telephone took place.
I wouldn't say no GT game would head to PC, but I've always been very, very confident indeed that GT7 wasn't the one that would.
We pointed out right away that GT7 wasn't on the list in the same way as other titles that were coming, and the whole thing looked like storefront scrapes. That this rumour wouldn't go away was crazy.I think the persistent rumour (on Twitter/Reddit etc) is more to do with the Nvidia Geforce leak. AMS, modding? 100%, it was built on the RFactor engine with modding as a part of the product. Is there cheating on iRacing ? AMS ? LMU ? Or even modding ?
I don't believe cheating is a valid reason not to bring GT to PC, it may be an excuse, but it is BS.That said, I agree with regard to the cheating side, these titles, iRacing in particular, have been used for very high-profile events (in excess of that which GT has been used for) and while cheating has happened, it has not been via the software.
Assuming the Civic is an EF, none of the four cars are from past games. None of the previous five were either. You have to go back to the Evo VIII in 1.52 to find one: one of the last 12 cars including this upcoming update. Most updates have more all-new than returning (even if we include closely related cars as returning) with only four updates bucking that trend.
However, it was "only", and "old cars" not "cars from past games". He said "if you do only that [add old cars], it will probably end" and "if all you want is old cars that's fine, but that will never last".
Over the last year (the interview is now two years old), we've had one update - 1.43 - which hasn't included a Brand Central-exclusive (therefore 2010 and on) car. In fact I think that's the only one full-stop, although the two in 1.29 were the ItalDesign VGT twins. Every other update has had something new as well as the old cars, therefore not being "only" old cars added.
Fully agreed. I wouldn't even mind another side-game ala GTS as long as a more formal GT8 has all the cars from GT7 carry over. Or, maybe there could be a mobile version that has connectivity to GT8, titled "Gran Turismo Alleggerita."According to the latest rumour - PD prefers to work on the next GT than doing a PC port of GT7
which is a better idea imho , who knows if it will be GT8 or some side sequel like GT Sport was
I'm not so sure about that, seeing how various automakers are reneging on their plans for EVs, such as Lotus and Genesis. That said, I would be very interested in a group of made-for-game racers based on road cars akin to Gr.4, except they're all EVs. I'd even be fine with it being part of the Manufacturers Series - though I'm unsure of how some automakers could have a model, like Toyota/Subaru, let alone brands like the aforementioned Genesis. Honestly, as far as the Manufacturers Series goes, I'd much rather have Gr.1 potentially be a part of it and maybe even Gr.2, even if it means some brands making a new VGT when they already have one. We've already seen such a thing with Jaguar and Peugeot, too. With EVs going to be a bigger part of GT going forward, I think it is only a matter of time before PD creates a "Gr.E" class.
This I would also agree with, especially since I bet PD would model the changes in air pressure/temperature/oxygen as you ascend.Best thing would be to get Pike's Peak with Goodwood hillclimb back, I wouldn't mind even paid DLC like LH challenge on GT Sport, to finnaly use those Hillclimb cars.
Ropey BoP is the worst thing PD do and I want them to stop doing it. The LMGT1s and the '90s WRC cars feel nothing like how they should under BoP, and that's the only conditions they ever get used in online because even single-make events like the TTs use group BoP rather than stock figures. With EVs going to be a bigger part of GT going forward, I think it is only a matter of time before PD creates a "Gr.E" class. And I feel there is enough out there where the bones of such a category could exist today featuring stuff like the Ford Mustang Mach E 1400, Porsche Mission R, and the long teased but not yet ingame Tesla Race car.
Heck if PD were willing to go a bit further the Ioniq N Time Attack car could also slot in, though IRL it is underpowered, and would have to be BOP'd. Or they could throw in a fictional racing version of the N Vision 74 concept.
If PD were really feeling their oats and though they could get away with ropey BOP'ing it, the ID.R could even potentially make the grade, as while like the Ioniq it would be underpowered, the downforce would make up for it, though it would probably be a similar case to why the Escudo doesn't work in Gr.B in practice.
Just watched GTP’s latest video, Jordan mentions the next update “there will be a lot to talk about” well colour me intrigued then :
27:31 he mentions it.
@Jordan I hope we will get the 2025 5 doors version of the Suzuki JimnyIt's nice to be an insider, huh, Jordan? lol
Or even more ideally : Endurance races without Sophy, because :Well, blame @Jordan for all this but.. If I were to place a bet: I'm going to guess B-Spec mode will be implemented? I know nothing about this other than I saw someone mention it somewhere here with a screenshot from a recent event.
Now, that in and of itself is almost entirely uninteresting to me except.. I could see them adding endurance races as part of this. Because I imagine, in their mind, they're thinking.. why the heck would we add 6/12/24 hour races when like 99% of the audience isn't going to do that? And, realistically, it is kind of an insane ask. We're not all @F4H Super GT . I know I'm totally down for like 2 hour races for sure. Maybe up to 4. Beyond that, not really. The game isn't dynamic enough to make it interesting beyond that, IMO (i.e. no realistic mechanical wear/failures/fatigue etc.)
So they're thinking, well if we add something like B-Spec then people don't actually have to drive full races. They can just sit back and watch the whole thing or, hopefully, they have a system where you can jump in and out of the car via pit-stops and swap with AI drivers.
Bare Minimum: (Most Realistic Scenario)
- Endurance races will be on courses that currently support 24 hour time.
- Implement a system that allows seamless driver swapping with AI in pits.
- Implement a system that allows save states during race.
- I would expect it may limited to Gr4, Gr3, Gr1 cars. They've had to train Sophy with the cars and each track.
Ideally:
- Sophy AI will be used and understand Tire Wear/Fuel Consumption/Pit Lane logic.
- Courses with the 24 hour time cycle AND dynamic weather will be supported.
- Sport Mode will have support to allow online driver swapping.
- Support Custom Races/Grids.
Yea, as I kept re-reading it and thinking, I realized Custom Races can't use Sophy anyway so it's these are two separate paths. Will update and rewrite accordingly.Or even more ideally : Endurance races without Sophy, because :
A - The fact that Sophy and Endurance are interdependent would mean that PS4 players couldn't have access to endurance races. And this is written by a PS5 player.
B - Sophy drives stock cars only, meaning custom races will have their cars all over the place in term of performances. Not to mention that without tuning parts and liveries that goes with them, options will be limited very quickly (example : the DTM Weekly Challenge wouldn't work very well with Sophy, if not at all).
I don't know... I can't wait for endurance races to make a return, I can't wait to see what Sophy could bring on longer races, but both at the same time might lead to unecessary limitations here and there. Again.
I mean, they might very well add Sophy to Custom Race mode as well.Yea, as I kept re-reading it and thinking, I realized Custom Races can't use Sophy anyway so it's these are two separate paths. Will update and rewrite accordingly.
There will be a lot to talk about even if it's just a cool returning car update, or Eiger Nordwand's other trails, but to invoke Pikes Peak? The way Jordan said it makes me think next update will be peak. Pikes... Peak. Confirmed!
He was clever enough to say "the next update", not necessarily "the February update."There's only one thing that's certain following that tease.
The February update prediction thread is absolutely going to get very very silly.
Probably 3 years anniversary updateHe was clever enough to say "the next update", not necessarily "the February update."
So on that note, see you all in April or something lol
Almost fell outta' my chair seeing this post. Need a 💯 with another zero on the end of itFINE...

Gran Turismo 7 "February" 2025 Update Prediction & Discussion Thread
Fine then... Please use this thread to make your predictions for, and discuss, Gran Turismo 7's next update. We're calling it the February 2025 update because... why not? While Kazunori Yamauchi has stated that the updates aren't monthly by design we have grown to expect it. February seems...www.gtplanet.net
