More like, was there at least a single instance where a car at the venue was there as a tease for future update and arrived in the game later?
Well THAT particular Xiaomi Model is coming eventually so there is that. Closest previous thing shown at a past event I can think of is maybe the 2022 911 GT3 RS and the 911 RSR's WEC livery from a GT Sport Live event (World final maybe?).

The C8 Corvette at the 2022 finals is the well-known one because it was in the very next update.

I'd imagine there's probably been a couple more that have trickled in, but everyone's forgotten what cars were at old events.

These are probably the "cool cars" the social media was teasing last night. I'm sure nobody will overreact to the M4 GT3 Evo's presence...

It's funny to contrast the cars they pick to show at the live events to the ones we've been getting in updates lately.
Where's the Nissan Qashqai or the Renault Avantime on display? Maybe they figured in the Nissan's case that someone would bring their own.

Yes, but...

Something neat I just saw.
Willow Springs has revealed some of the circuit renovations it has been doing, specifically for the Streets of Willow Springs layout, as well as the karting track.

It certainly looks quite different.
Unlike the updated Suzuka, this features layout changes so would likely require a bit more development work, if Polyphony decided to update the one we have in-game someday.

More renovations should be coming to other layouts. I wouldn't be surprised if the goal is to have Big Willow host actual modern motorsport series' like GT World Challenge America in the future.

But the G class is not in the game, unless you know something something👀
He definitly know something :D
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see a G-Wagon getting added in the game, it's a piece of history, the "weird" thing here the one exposed is a Brabus 🧐

In regards to the Dunlop partnership, am I going to have to dream again for raised letter tyre branding…. for ALL cars?

What's the black car next to the grey Porsche (not the Brabus on the right of the Porsche, the one on the left) ?
Porsche Taycan judging by the overhead shot.

Dunlop is now officially a sponsor of the GTWS. Check the live stream
Better screenshot the remains of the Michelin menus in Brand Central now before a future update drops..

There was a preview screen of the Tuner Shop showing Dunlop-branded race tires. So it might be a possibility?

Yeah, it was the same for Michelin, but we did have the tyre branding glitch in GT Sport. Hasn’t happened in GT7.

So there's the possibility the update will feature the Xiaomi, Ferrari 296 and the M4 GT3?

(I know, I know, we shouldn't get our hopes up but still...)
Nah, completely unrelated. At least in the past the cars were booked by a marketing agency unrelated to the game.
Similar to how a Melbourne course layout showed up in the promo videos before the GT7 launch. No relation to the game.

And with how weird or old other cars in game are, it's probably easier to get these than actual GT cars 🙈

Only the Xiaomi is confirmed (eventually) and that was announced a while ago.

Eh, I can buy some of those random Mercedes and Porsches being just cars they thought would be German + cool, but there's definitely some planning there. It's not a coincidence that noted partnership cars the Ioniq 5 N and Xiaomi are there, or that the Valkyrie was at the last round that just so happened to be using it in Nations.
