BY your logic:
Because VR2 may have not been profitable,
And thus you think that all game development for VR will stop from here onward ? No more VR at all on PS6, not just GT ?!

PsVR2 didn't just exist for GT7.

VR2 not being popular would mean the death of VR is a bit dramatic I think.

VR is still at its enfancy.
(READY Player One ?)

For me, j am bit more optimistic and I believe the game industry will continue to push for VR, and I doubt Sony will somehow stop after pSVR2.... When other are pushing still.

They didn't stop after PSVR, despite it being a worse flop...

Flight Simulator is coming on PSVR2 next year and I already have my FS copy on pre order coming next week.

GT is definitely one of the best game to benefit from vR, it would be totally foolish to alienate a growing avid player base for VR.

No Man's is something that so good too in VR.

PSVR3 will be there... In time...
It would not be the first time when GT ditched support of some novelty

Triple screen support - available till GT6 ditchet in GT Sport
Stereoscopic 3D - GT5 and 6 had it. Ditched in GT Sport
Headtracking - it was a thing in GT5 ditched later

If supporting legacy feature brings more problems and is not financially good there is no problem ditching it for big corporation.

I hope it won’t happen. But for now I don’t see PSVR3 as possibility when Sony itself already forget about it.

Yeah, but VR is a different beast, and I don’t think PD would drop it so easily.
Stereoscopic 3D, headtracking and 3 screens don’t change or enhance the experience nearly as much in my opinion. It might be a niche product, but an extremely good one. As long as some kind of VR gear is available to use with a Playstation, I believe Gran Turismo will use it.

Think it’s always funny to see these talks about „they’re definitely working on a GT8…“
Yeah wow. Game development takes longer than 1-2 years.

It still will be a thing for a while. Just not on console.
If so, could GT8 then be the one to be made available on PC ?

The point was :

Really good games takes much longer than just a couple of years, we both agree on that ..

And although they have been working on GT8 for a few years now in the background, my earlier post was a reminder that nowadays, maybe that's still not enough.

So, not just a couple of years, sometimes decades:
I want to be proven wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if the next GT8 doesn't show up until at least 2030....

And that's with PD trying to use and incorporate AI into their game design work flow to "accelerate" the processes, if they doing it... Which they probably are since they are developing Sophy

Edit: thanks 🙏 to the admins for merging my double posts by mistake.

Do we know if they are increasing the credit cap?

Because I'm already at the max, sure the new cars in Spec 3 will take a little, but not 5 million credits worth...

Also, it'll be interesting to see if all the extra points we've collected since hitting 50, will take us all the way up to level 70

The Cr.5M will likely be classed as ‘Paid Credits’ so won’t be affected by the current Cr.100M cap

"The Power Pack exclusively features the latest version, GT Sophy 3.0, which offers the most realistic AI behaviour yet and delivers intense, tail-to-nose battles that make every lap a challenge"

AI behaviour behind a paywall....

I guess you also expect AI to be powered by horse and buggy...

Edit: even if you have the PS5, this amount of updates cannot be just free.... They have put a lot of effort into it, it is only right for them to get a return, not just free update...

I see no wrong doing here .. you, can still enjoy the rest of the game... Eventually down the line you all get Sophy 3.0

The DLC is also serving as a testing ground.
