Just realised. If counting the special modified versions of existing cars from the Power Pack, this update has added 14 cars total.
That might be a new record, even going back to the GT Sport days. I think there was an update that added 13 cars at one point, but no higher than that.
If you're counting paid DLC anyways, this is beaten by GT5 car pack 1, which had 15 cars.

Nissan Skyline GT-R V·spec II Nür (R34) '02
Mine's BNR34 GT-R N1 base '21
NISMO R34GT-R Z-tune '05

The Mine's BNR34 shares its 3DCG base with the Z-tune.
If the normal R34 gets a 3DCG update using the same base, I'll be ultimately happy. (Just look how the headlights look differently; the ones on the Mine's car and the Z-tune look extremely close to the real ones!)

Data Logger, I wonder if it can compare laps on Circuit Experiences, Time Trials (not online two weeks one but circuit lap time trials, and lastly Licence tests, from TWO DIFFERENT PLAYERS laps.
Well... tried it with your S-5 replay. Found it in showcase, added it to my collection and went to license test.

First : I was not able to use it as ghost (but never tried to use a player ghost there)

Did my lap, saved the replay (shared it for testing purposes, description reads "Data logger Bara") and went into data logger.

Only other replay I can load except any from mines, is the demo one. No way to load your replay from my collection.

Tests needed for the other game modes, but maybe we cannot use something else than the demo replay for comparison.

Thanks for testing.
Camit shared his circuit Experience lap on snow, I added it to my collection, went on Lake Louise CE but I can not load his lap, only mine and demo.
Great feature but a bit disappointed that PD don't let us use it in more modes.

Oh wow yeah, good memory.
Isn't that a direct entrance to buy the Power Pack?
Yep. Advertising DLC within the game itself is quite a common thing to do. Players who don't browse the PS Store often might forget it exists otherwise.
It's kinda funny if it also shows up on the PS4 version, but I guess it also incentivises people to get a PS5, so Sony are happy lol.

I agree with you. I can think of strategic decision from PD and Sony, they left it there so PS4 users are tempted to switch to PS5, which will generate more money to PD/Sony.
A marketing strategy is the obvious choice for it anyway. What better way to give PS4 users the incentive to upgrade, other than an AD for an exclusive mode?

Plus, the car-requirements tab for the GT-R Cup shows the GP-Tuned C10 GT-R being in the specified cars list. Even though there wouldn't be an option to get it in the PS4 versions at all.

That's because you can drive the Power Pack cars even in the PS4 version, if you obtain them in the PS5 version and load the save data on the PS4 version.

I guess when the time comes for me to have a PS5, it would be a interesting thing to experiment on. Knowing my digital PS5-version (from the Anniversary edition) has been collecting digital dust for a while.

A quick scout of the PS Store suggests the Power Pack (or maybe the game, but probably the Power Pack) is selling very well.

The game is currently ranked 2nd in Italy, Germany, Portugal, and the Netherlands, 3rd in Spain and Japan, 4th in the UK, France, Australia and Brazil, 5th in Canada, and 8th in the US.

Hi all sorry if this has been asked before but I just got the game and I’m wondering if there’s a way to turn off the pop up telling the type of car you’ve just overtaken? Thanks in advance

It’s kinda annoying that the flashing yellow thingy doesn’t disappear after you’ve clicked it though… to me personally it constantly reminds me “you can’t afford a ps5!” 😑
You actually have to complete the event to clear it, at least that's what I've noticed.

Saw a tweet on this but wanted to confirm it myself.

If you close the game from the PS5 home screen while in an endurance race, instead of exiting the event (Retire), it remembers your progress and gives you the option to resume.
It also allows you to do anything else in the game while remembering your progress for later. To test that, I did another Power Pack race, and a regular World Circuits race. The option to "Resume from Progress Data" is still there.

Upon resuming, you are put into a rolling start. Gaps aren't remembered, however cars that were a lap or more down remain such. In that sense, it's a bit like closing the game causes a Safety Car, bunching cars up but not letting anyone get their lap(s) back.
Fuel depletion is remembered, however tyre wear isn't, though the compound you were on is.
Weather radar patterns are also remembered.

This is a guess from the testing I've done, as well as the tweet I saw originally, but it appears to save progress every 3 laps.
So lap 3, 6, 9, 12 etc. Multiples of 3.
What should be done.

GT7 downgraded championship races previously where you can't suspend it.

And how about closing the game playing something else? Will it remember that state? Or turning off cobsole and going back after some hours?

Probably the game itself. Just getting the usual sales spike as it’s 50% off.

Not sure if it was brought up in the Power Pack thread, but the customisation on the PP cars does have great potential, Take the American Racer Mustang for example.

It’s pretty much a modern Trans-Am racer, but if you look in GT Auto…

Do you see where i’m going with this?:sly:

Side skirt vents and the front grille can be covered as well. :D

And if you need some extra spice..

There’s both sets of rally tyres and a Supercharger available as well.

They should add Chevy in the same style now :D

BTW. I remember GT5 DLC with new cars and mowt of them were race modded existing in the game cars.
This feels pretty much the same, and it is great way to intruduce those cars again without taking precious place for completly new cars in free updates.
I am really happy with Power Pack. I would buy part two with more races like this.

Guys the forcefeedback became so bad on my tgt2, anyone else feels the same? Plz let me know your opinion if you have a belt wheel.. i think they ruined them to push fanatec sales
I was joking the other day, but I had a big scare last night...
same symptoms as you: no more FFB on my TGT2... steering wheel completely loose...☹️☹️😧😮

I exited the game, restarted the PS5, and luckily everything went back to normal...
A TGT2-specific bug???..🤔🤔🤔

Strange... strange... Did you say strange? .....How strange......🤔🤔🤔

How much max hp does the Power Pack exclusive cars have? I heard the Supra can go to 1000hp fully upgraded. I need that, too bad I'm still on ps4

Same here. Mushy doesn't even begin to describe it, and there's a shaking in the middle that resembles my own car back when it had a stuck brake piston and a warped disc.
I'm experiencing the same on T-GT 2. It went from nuanced with lots of detail, to sluggish and heavy. It feels almost like a lower resolution of feedback.

I've settled on settings of FFB 4 and Sensitivity 2, or FFB 3 and Sensitivity 3 since the new update. Not sure if the new force feedback is behaving as intended or not.

It would be good to hear from more Thrustmaster T-GT 2 drivers.
