If GT7 will be the last game in the series for you, I would highly recommend you get the PP.

It is worthwhile and you would go out ending in a good note.

The level of competition is higher slightly higher than normal, but short of the spicy races or races online.

And you can give yourself more challenges by selecting cars that are slower.

It has replayability is what I am saying.

Worth it in my eyes.
That’ll all depend on the PS6 release and price. If I feel I need to prolong my use of GT7, ill get the power pack if it’s still available. I’ll probably still be racing online when I can but it’s been a long time since I’ve done a single player race, including any new races they released or the weeklies. I know they get you credits. But I just can’t bring myself to race them. No ambition to touch the game besides racing with friends and making liveries.

So we are still blank about 5 more cars for spec 4 part 2? I hope they will be BMW M4 and the GT3 version, Toyota GR GT and the GT3 version, and AMG One. I think I'm hoping too much 😅
Besides the Ferrari in this last update, as far cars, I had very little interest. I hope we get some historic cars. What? Idk but there’s lots to choose from yet. Feels like it’s been awhile since we got an older vehicle like a muscle car or old European sports car. Before 1980. Preferably even older.

I'd go bold and predict the following:

  • Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH '25
  • BMW M4 Competition Coupe '21
  • BMW M4 GT3 '22 (BMW M4 GT3 EVO kit available in GT Auto)
  • Cadillac V-Series.R '23
  • Mercedes-AMG One '21
The BMW M5 '05 is the only one confirmed here.

Reasoning:

1. The Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH '25 seems like the most logical choice for yet another Hypercar addition given the road-going Valkyrie has been in GT7 since June 2023, and there was even a tweet of Kaz taking a picture of it, claiming that it is sexy in sound.

2. Polyphony often likes to pair the racing versions of particular car with their road-going counterparts, as seen with the Subaru BRZ (GT300 and road car) as well as the Ferrari 296 (GT3 and GTB), and it won't be different this time around with the BMW M4 GT3 and the BMW M4 Competition Coupe.

3. This is a no-brainer - the BMW M4 GT3 is currently the most-requested real-world GT3 car right now, and it has been teased before in GT World Series events, such as the EVO version, and the Team Studie version of the regular M4 GT3 as well (this chassis was from 2023), suggesting that the model we're getting could be the regular car from 2022, but with the parts of the BMW M4 GT3 EVO in GT Auto, which was the case with the Audi R8 LMS EVO, Ferrari 296 GT3 and Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) which all had their EVO kits available as custom parts, without the need for a separate car.

4. Besides the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH, the Cadillac V-Series.R is the most-requested Hypercar/LMDh by the community thus far on social media, also making it a fitting candidate for an additional Gr. 1 car, and if paired with the Valkyrie AMR-LMH, would bring the total number of Hypercars/LMDh's to seven. Polyphony still has good relations with GM, so licensing may not be an issue, it's just that Cadillac has had very little of a presence throughout the entire series, with only the CIEN (GT4-GT6) and 2011 CTS-V Coupe (GT6 only). This could also be possibly, the first and currently only Gr. 1 car represented with IMSA livery variations, as the car, when it was licensed for FM2023 and Project Motor Racing, featured the yellow (#01 Cadillac Racing) and red (#31 Whelen Engineering Cadillac Racing) ones from IMSA, and the blue one (#2 Cadillac Racing) from the FIA WEC.

5. Polyphony were said to have recorded sounds for the Mercedes-AMG One, so the most logical thing to do after that is to scan it, although sound recording may not entirely guarantee scanning. But with a road-going exotic this unique, with an F1 engine tuned for street use, it seems like the addition of this car may be the most logical choice here.

Why Cadillac? Its like… the least possible car from hypercar class…

It’s just odd the cars initially teased in Spec IV, to celebrate the start of the 30th anniversary celebration, are from GT4. Part 2 sees the M5 will be part of Part 2. Did Kaz feel it would be too heavy putting three cars from GT4 in the first part?

We then saw the Supra RZ and R33 GT-R Gran Turismo cover cars, as Special Pick cars, in the Used Car Dealership. Past cover cars we don’t have in GT7, are the Acura CL Type S, Nissan R35 GT-R, GT-R Concept and Ferrari 599. Which ones are more likely to be possibilities in Part 2?

The launch spec of the R35 seems the most likely out of those 4, as it's the only version of the R35 we don't have, and arguably the most important historically due to it's performance/price and what it represented when it launched, to the point where even at the end of the models long lifecycle it was still a competitive piece of kit. Also the personal PD connection of them designing the infotainment system, which would also tie into the 30th anniversary celebration.

The Ferrari 599 I'd see as the next most likely of those 4 options, as it's a fairly popular and iconic vehicle that would generate a lot of hype, probably the most hype out of the lot, and it helps that Ferrari have gotten a lot of love recently, though with us just getting the 355, maybe it's too much too soon at this point?

The Acura CL Type S is probably a long shot compared to the 2 above, as GT seems to have cut any attention to brands like Acura and Infiniti who often have what is essentially rebadged version of cars that their parent brands (Honda/Nissan) sell domestically. Now the CL is an example of one of the rare cases that doesn't have a direct JDM Counterpart, which would potentially justify the addition of Acura as a manufacturer, but until PD changes their mind on regional rebadges (Honda/Acura, Nissan/Infiniti, Opel/Vauxhall) I just don't see it.

Finally the GT-R concept while cool is probably in the almost-never tier of inclusions, as outside of the Isuzu 4200R concept in GT6, PD generally prefer to look forwards with their concept cars rather than dwelling on futures past. Also unless the concept car still exists, PD would have to redesign it from reference photos, which again, they have done before with the Isuzu 4200R, but it seems unlikely. And then there is the fact that in present day PD emphasizes concepts from their own VGT program over just about anything else.

I will disagree with the last 2 previous post above me

I see GT7 to be similar to Zelda BOTW in the sense that it feels like an open world and choose your own adventure, and have your own freedom in motivation.

I have tried to like Forza Horizon open world or other similar games, but I think I have gotten old and found them to be childish .. heck why getting points when you ram through trees, poles, gates and destroy properties in said open world... How is that thrilling.... It is childish.
It should be that you get points deducted for destroying the world Round you.

I like the clean respectful and chill vibe of GT7, and you stay focused on enjoying the car, doing clean and fast laps, without trying to push each other like savages...

I guess it must be an age thing...

And What's with all the UI in Forza Horizon that looks so disorganized colors all over, nothing is harmonious.
It is so cluttered.

It's a style thing. Two completely different philosophy.

Personally I find GT7 to be fine as is and there are still plenty of life in it, none of us has barely scratched the surface I guarantee you.

If they come out with GT8 next year I am not going to say no, why would I ?

But what I am saying is that, unless Kaz is really short on money, they really don't need to, and I would prefer they deliver a good polished product for once rather than rush ...

Of course they could always push out something for something sake ... Then add updates as done in this past several years... But how would you all feel ?

Probably continue to moan and complain as usual...

IMHO

Edit: Forza graphics and car design have come a long way... But when compared to GT, especially in past games, there is just NO debate.
The Forza cars still look below par, no passion or dedication, definitely rushed because of money (I get it, but I give priority to quality, and applaud PD for doing the right thing).

That was in the past.

With FH6 today, I recognize the cars look so much better !!
But the lighting and reflections still feels off in certain cases.
They have at least gotten to an acceptable level, but still not on par with GT.

But I am happy the game is keeping you happy.
The two should not be compared tho. Slightly Different mindsets.
I am almost 40 and have played gt since the beginning.

Gt7 have most parts dialed in, but the career is a very weak spot and pd could do a lot to make that part a lot better. Those chase the rabbit races is not really enjoyable in my opinion. Pd prooved with the power pack that they actually can make a more enjoyable single player if they want to.

Chase the rabbit is by design IIRC, so that players of every ability can have an engaging race.

It's just a shame that seems to exclude players of exceptional ability  (not me, btw)

They should just have the person choose then. May as well just turn it into Mario bros then. I don’t care for super difficult races but I don’t want to chase the rabbit either. It’s frustrating driving away knowing you’re going to win but not until around the last corner or so.

Other games have accomplished not having to chase the rabbit. Not sure why they can’t.

I'd go bold and predict the following:

  • Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH '25
  • BMW M4 Competition Coupe '21
  • BMW M4 GT3 '22 (BMW M4 GT3 EVO kit available in GT Auto)
  • Cadillac V-Series.R '23

The BMW M5 '05 is the only one confirmed here.

The thing with any Le Mans hypercar is, there needs to be a satisfactory answer to the question "why did they not just put it in the Le Mans hypercar themed update?"

The Genesis has an obvious answer - it's so new that PD and their... less-than-agile car pipeline couldn't ever have got it done in time. (I would also accept "Hyundai are maybe PD's closest current partner and could have reasonably requested the update limelight to themselves".). Similarly the TR010.

But any pre-2026 hypercars feel like it was June 2026 or never, to me at least.

Disagree. That would be accomplished in a more satisfying way with opponents that actually scale in difficulty.

I would be like to be a able to qualify if I so choose. I know you can do that in the power pack but it should been added in the base game. Or not give people. A choice

Here is what I gather to be currently the different logic in automated race bots in GT7

Let's see if you agree or if you believe I missed anything....

1) Music Rally Bots = pre-programmed at a defined constant speed, but still able to turn and avoid obstacles...

Similarly:
2) bots that are in some of the License tests are pre-programmed not to deviate from their pace... Maintain constant speed, with minimal disruption... Obedient bots, or dumb bots.

3) Bots in Mission Challenges are pre-programmed based on PD preset defined spice level that you cannot change, and varies between 1-spice up to 5-spices of level.
There are selected races in the World Circuits events with spice level already predefined. The bots in these races are also based on these same "Spicy Bots"

4) GT Sport races do not contain Ai controlled cars or bots

5) Multiplayer mode (Lobby, Paddock and Split screens races) do not contain Ai controlled cars or bots.

Depending on your chosen Race difficulty:
Either Easy (0 spice), Normal (1 spice), Hard (2 spices):

6) the Ai-controlled rival cars/bots ONLY in World Circuit races, INCLUDING Quick Races, custom races, and Championship Races =
They Are regular AI pre-programmed to drive at a constant pace, chase the rabbits of 3 different speed according to your skill level as you have chosen above in the Options.

Online races and other races bots are not set by this difficulty level setting.
Some races in the world circuits events also have spice level predefined too, and those are NOT governed by the Bots category in 6).

7) Gt Sophy are the quickest and most intelligent ai BOTs as released into the wild. There are no faster Ai in GT than Sophy, because Kaz and PD have to tame it down from their ultimate iteration, so that they can give a chance to a select few humans to win.
These Can be found on selected Races in the World Circuit events and Custom Races or Quick Races.

8)
Then there are the 3 levels of difficulties in the Power Pack, which I feel are different or a notch or two above the regular bots as defined in the section 6) above

The power pack bots are a bit faster than their levels lead us to believe
A) the Zero spice in the PP is probably equivalent or just slightly above to the third rabbit, the fastest chosen difficulty level for "Hard" in the World Circuits, which correspond to the 2-spices level in the Mission Challenges too.
I have not verified the next two B) & C) as I have not tried it yet, but I assume
B) the 1 spice in the PP would correspond to the regular 3-spices level out of the regular 5.
C) the 2 spices in the PP would correspond to the regular 4 spices level on the regular 5 level spice.

All in All, we have these 8 different levels of bots:

1) the dumb bots (only one speed)
2) the arcade Rabbits of 3 different chosen range of speed:
------ a) no spice (Easy)
------ b) 1 spice (Normal)
------ c) 2 spices (Hard)
3) the Spicy bots of 5 different spices
------ a) 1 spice
------ b) 2 spices (= no spice level in PP)
------ c) 3 spices (= 1 spice level in PP)
------ d) 4 spices (= 2 spices level in PP)
------ e) 5 spices

And last but not least
4) Sophy (that Kaz/PD can scale her)

I understand and probably would agree with you that Kaz should have given us (not more choices, we got choices here, but maybe more control). Yet he probably just wanted to make it easy and not to overwhelm the players with too many options for now.
But

Honestly
I think Kaz and PD have done a great job at giving us a good scale level of difficulty (8 in total), that is accessible and to match everyone's skills and motivations between the age of 7 to 77....

Personally, the hard difficulty level provides me with no challenges, just a walk in the park.

3 spice level is my comfortable level
4 spices is where it gets fun

5 spices and Sophy are personal challenges to pushes you to be better, similarly to you doing time trials and challenging yourself to the fastest possible time.

If you can't find the fun in this sandbox... Then I really don't know... There are still so much to do without Kaz having to spoon-feed you...

Unless you have beat Sophy on every track and cars combination, I really don't think you have finished the game

Did you gold all the license tests too ?

Only then can you say you are bored ...

And yet... I still believe there is plenty of life in this game left
Just ask @05XR8

To be honest, no one really knows what PD will come up with, but at a minimum I'd doubt two Hypercars and a supercar and a GT3 would pop up all in the same update. But I'll dream along with you ;)

The 599 is definitely a sweet spot, but they've already just done a Ferrari. Next option would be the original GT-R R35 in my opinion

One thing you might add to your reflection: wet races. The AI always seems to be very dumb in their pit strategy in the wet. Which is a bit of a pity.
