So if you didn´t see the tweet in the first place - what are you getting angry at then? That he says that a short notice cancellaton of an event without any reason given is "a tad concerning"?

I think that´s an absolutly fair thing to say.
He said (I've quoted it above); a tad concerning as the release date is on march 4th.

That you're prepared to omit that pretty vital part of the sentence shows me you're not really prepared to get down with what I'm saying at all, to be quite honest. I've explained why I think it's dishonest and manipulative at some length by now. I did see the original tweet - embedded in an F1 news outlet's article - and I called it out as conjecture over there, too.

How am I omitting it? It´s right there in my reply to you.

And I think it´s nothing to get worked up about.

Let´s let it go as it is actually no news.

I am glad, when the release day gets happen as announced and thats the most important for me.
In the meantime, i play GT Sport or another ones ;-)

Just want to say thanks to GT Planet for keeping things on point, proving again that it is a solid source of credible info, not rumors and predictions which everyone is fed up with except those seeking attention.

Is this a picture of "Tom" the leaker?

Handsome fella.

Polyphony Digital in Desperate Damage Control After DEVASTATING Event Backtrack

I guess I find the silence unnerving. So many components and facts about this game have been falsified by PD. Silence to you gives you confidence. China have been silent on how many covid cases they’ve had the past two years and that doesn’t invoke any confidence of China in me.

I don’t think it’ll be delayed but I am just gob-smacked at PD’s silence in general - very unnerving.
It’s a ****ing video game, it isn’t that deep.

How is the career mode structured? Is there prize cars? Grid starts, qualifying?
How is rally mode structured? We've seen a couple cars jumping in the dirt, that's about it.
What weather features are there? Thunderstorms, snow? How truly dynamic is the track?
What improvements have been made to the livery editor?
Are there any new events or differing formats in Sport Mode? Is there a new improved penalty system?
What are the "other aerodynamic parts" we can add to cars? How many cars can have those?
How has scapes improved other than having more of them?

So many questions just about what they have shown, never mind what they haven't.
You missed out competitive AI with at least two extra levels above Pro in GTS.

Hmm, maybe Throw-a-controller and Cheating-MFers levels?
I was thinking Expert and Extreme, but your names could be better choices.

Poly is playing a "dangerous" game. The beta for GTSport was a great idea for some players feedback. Now, we'll obviously see more GT7 coverage in the coming days. For example, we haven't seen yet the other camera views?! What if we're back with the awful 3rd camera view or no 360 degre camera view, no dashboard camera...
I don't know if they want to sell copies, show your game. No wonder if GT7 won't sell as much as expected by Poly.

If they really have revised the AI, they'd better prove it considering the gameplay trailers so far have shown the AI to still be slow and brainless.
the Daytona trailer had mediocre AI, but the AI in the deep forest trailer looked really good actually

Personally, I skipped it more based on my experience with GT6. After GT6 I wasn't really that keen on investing in a PS4 and GTS when I could spend that money on all the other interesting sim and sim-adjacent games that were coming out at the time. Polyphony had no good will left from me, and when the initial release of GTS was of high quality but tiny I didn't feel particularly bad for having not jumped on board. At that point I'd been playing iRacing on and off for years, and I didn't feel like I needed another game to fill that niche.

As far as best feeling GT to date, I find that a bit odd. I don't play GT for driving feel because I don't think it's particularly good. If I want driving feel I have better sims to go to. GT has many things going for it, but neither the physics or the driving feel are reasons I'd hold up for the games being particularly good.
That's respectable. The content was definitely lacking with GTS and the experience was purely enjoyable online. But for me that has no interest in hardcore sims, and the GT experience, it was more than sufficient.

I took Monkey Mans stance is that he is only really interested in GT, but didn't want to support the PS4 era. To me it was the most rewarding driving experience to date, but content wise it was not.

Huh. Wasn't that video uploaded just 3 weeks ahead of GT5's launch?
That trailer on the official channel came out 2 months before the launch. GT6's weather trailer came out 1 month before launch.

He wasn't the only one. After playing a lot with GT5 I waited for GT6 very eagerly. Once the first official info came out, I saw how oblivious PD were to the problems of their game and I was so disappointed that I sold my PS3 straight away. There was no point in staying previous gen for me and considering PD's very slow pace I knew they would not be releasing anything else in the next years. I just remember when everyone was buying PS4 to play GT where in for disappointment. When they announced GT Sport I felt vindicated.

I would also like to add that the problem of many that GT7 doesn't have too many new things is completely irrelevant to me and others like me, since I last played GT5 so many things have changed that everything will be completely new 😅.

My only possible gripe is the AI but I can bypass it by taking a slow car or racing online! online

Sorry I thought /s was universal but perhaps not. I was being sarcastic. Of course we need way more details. 👍
Do we really need way more info though, or do you just want it? I mean, the details will all be there when the game is released anyway, or when it’s reviewed right before release rather.

Edit: Sorry, didn’t see your more recent post. However, my point still stands.

Exactly, apparently PD thinks every player is gonna use the cockpit view only

I think we all want the info because we know it is GTS, and we want to be proved wrong.

As @happycorey said very basically there are a lot of fans that are concerned GT7 is just GTS with a few more bells and whistles.
I'm a fan who hopes they don't change too much, since GTS is my favourite racing game at the moment. That's my only worry, but that worry is small since they seem to be very conservative with the fundamental stuff.
