There's an enormous airport on SS Route X, right at the start of the back straight. This looks pretty much identical to it, including the windmills and road markings.

I don’t think it is. To the right it looks like the rear of a plane and a traffic control tower. I don’t think they were on Rout X?

Plus the Gran Tourism says Trial Mountain below and I don’t ever remember seeing advertisement boards there either.

It's a new game though - they can easily have added advertising boards to the track.

Gotta admit the background music it's playing while counting down is rather soothing and makes for some great background music.
 
Ironically, the GT5 Menu Music fits the screen waiting for the show to start.

Whie I agree with that, I think the chances of it keeping in one thread are pretty slim.
