Says who? Where is your evidence? All other racing games on the market try to offer a race format which resembles reality and they do just fine.
In PC sims, you mean? The vast majority of people who play those games do online races or hotlaps instead of standard races against AI, they're not remotely like GT in terms of scope, audience, and goal. AC tried to have a career mode with standard grid starts and it just doesn't work very well.

Some shots of a tuned Renault Clio.. looks like we can choose between different tow hooks and hood pins.

OK. But what have they been doing since 2017 ?

Now i understand why they are so afraid of early gameplay leaks.

Lets hope at least the physics are a step forward.
What's actually wrong with you?

You keep posting nonsense that's either ignoring or completely oblivious to reality, then when reality is pointed out to you - like copyright being a thing that exists - you massively and negatively over-react to it.

Threatening to report Jimmy Broadbent (or any other outlet) for an approved post-embargo video from a Sony-provided review code because SIE requested Twitch/YT/Twitter remove pre-launch reveals (which is Twitch/YT/Twitter's call, not Sony's, which you still don't get despite it being repeatedly pointed out to you) is just bat**** mental.

Nobody anywhere said GT Sophy would be in GT at launch - Kazunori Yamauchi certainly didn't - and now you're calling it a lie that it would be and suggesting anything but that would be evidence of four years of laziness and a fear of gameplay leaks. Absolute lunacy.

I suggest you take a break before you get yourself into trouble.

Unless they’re going to charge for some dlc stuff? Sneaky but must be tempting for Sony. If they said, after a few months, here’s a bunch of cars and tracks and championships (and an unlocked harder difficulty level?) everyone would bitch about it. But most would pay up.
Exactly. I don’t remember seeing that many people bitch about the Louis Hamilton DLC not being free

I feel like we’re all forgetting the quite likely possibility of a day one patch, just as we saw with GT6 and I think Sport as well. Let alone additional post-launch updates that could very well add a lot more than cars and tracks.

Remember, nobody’s technically supposed to be playing the game yet.
Reviewers are supposed to be playing it, and they will be reviewing the game based on it's current state, not based on a day 1 patch.

The evidence is they don’t have NEARLY the market share that Gran Turismo has on a large scale
..and you're trying to suggest that is because they DO have proper racing? Yeah, no. Not to mention GT1-4 also had proper racing. It was only with a GT5 patched they moved away from that, long after they established their market share.

No, I'm talking about any other racing game, except super arcade stuff. GRID, Project Cars, Driveclub, F1, Assetto Corsa, and so on. Whether PC or console versions, they all offer proper, realistic racing formats.

In my experience Gran Turismo was never about being “real and simulation”. Boot up GT1 and GT2 and see how these games were. You can pit all kinds of cars against each other.

What made it so special is, it was one of the first racing games that looked so realistic with al those cars looking like their real life counter parts. The racing had crazy rubberbanding, which I actually dislike more than the current chase the rabbit approach.

For me I, I can’t wait to play GT7 and enjoy driving those beautifully rendered cars. So far what I have seen graphics wise looks absolutely stellar.

I couldn’t keep myself from clicking. Lasted 5 min. Why does every person who got it early and streams it suck? So painful to watch him fail that much.
I am laughing pretty hard and find his driving to be comical and extremely amusing. YAH, really is that bad at playing. Clearly he has no idea about ASM/ABS/Traction control settings. I am tempted to stream when I get a copy for PS4.

I'm not so optimistic about the driving model after seeing the same cronic understeer of some cars, just like GTS. I guess we'll see in a few days.

Woah... so apparently GT7 menu has a lot of Deep House music. I like it.

Here's one of them. It's excellent... and so brazilian...

Grid? Driveclub? You must be joking, right? I feel like you're just parroting common talking points from here and you've never actually played any of those games.

Sadly they didnt open a beta before as in GT Sport where you could adress features and issues in a forum and actually listened to many of these.
Thats why they also added the option for closer and dynamic chase cam because many complained. It would maybe helped again to get a fov slider, dashboard view and 360° chasecam... not enough camera options unfortunately in comparison with latest racers as Forza, AC, PCars or Dirt.

Yes, I've played them. Perhaps you misunderstand, I'm not talking about the physics of the game or even performance of the AI. Just the fact they feature a racing format that broadly resembles real racing, whereas the GT single file, spaced out rolling starts and catch up format does not resemble real life at all.

Imagine if the next F1 game had every Grand Prix start with a rolling start, you coming over the finish line as Lewis Hamilton was already in T3. It'd be stupid.
