Most people have an internet connection these days, unless you live in the boonies. Even then satellite internet is a thing and getting better very quickly. With that said, it's no harder to join a lobby than it is to fire up any AI campaign race. Stick to proper leagues and you don't have to worry about clowns.

Yes it is more work, I don't want to depend on other people's behaviour and availability to have an enjoyable race. Also now on GT7 we have an exploitable PP system, at least Sport had fairer online racing which I did play and enjoy.

With GT7 I already knew what I would get (and I enjoy it for what it is) that's why I got ACC a few months ago to get some proper racing going.

My Roulette luck has been awful, best prize so far has been 50k and I have had quite a few 4 star ones!

There's also mission with the 2J, have you tried it out? It's insane to drive. 😄

Clubman plus, Gr4 and Gr3 are proper racing. That's about it though.

The AI is quicker and the fields are larger, which up's the challenge, but I wouldn't call it proper racing at all.

It's still chase the rabbit, the rabbits just faster and has a bigger head-start on you.

I see that its a corvette engine. So what car can I put this engine in? When I went to the engine swap compatibility thread I saw that a Mazda was one of the cars....? Right?

The engine you won is just a replacement engine for that particular Corvette.
The Corvette LT-1 engine is the one that can be swapped into the Mazda.
 
The Porsche Cup is total BS with it's half-a-lap ahead AI that can't be rammed of the track and can magically gain a boost speed. Tried to t-bone that white 996 at 130mph at spa just to see what would happen and it barely nudged him.

Clear proof of hypercar and Gr 1 events existing that were cut for whatever reason. Curious.

After playing all day, every day since release, I feel like I've hit a sudden brick wall of motivation to play. Cafe done, used lot has almost no turn over, and no fun way to get money. Have almost no money to mess with the cars I do have. Doing that rally race is stupid. Gr4 High Speed Ring wasn't fun. Any of the races that I do find fun don't pay anything. Custom races don't pay anything. Tried do more missions out of shear boredom.. Some of them are very annoying/dumb so I absolutely don't want to do those. I usually do the licenses but no reason to do it beyond N-A at this point. Not really interested in the online stuff, and even what's there doesn't really pay anything.

Bleh. The used lot is really what kills it for me.

I hope not. It's about time we got a single player game that was the full game. Yes I hope there is additional content like cars and tracks, but I want to play through the single player knowing it's the final version and not get bolt ons and being expected to go back and do some single player again after moving on from it like in GTS. For example I was well into A+ in sport mode when some new single player content was released on GTS and was like meh I'm kinda done with racing disgraceful AI now. There's plenty there now to satisfy a purely single player player. PD need to concentrate purely on more tracks and cars and sport mode. And bugs. Not bolt on AI races.

Hopefully the majority of players realise the main part of GT7 is lobby racing and eventually sport mode. We just play through single player as an appetiser.

Yeah I know what you mean. Similar with COD in some ways. Usually smash out the short campaign before going online.i quite like the short, cinematic campaigns, despite it having many critics as an afterthought to online mode.

For Vanguard ended up only doing 1st mission before online and now have 0 enthusiasm for attempting single player again.

I think its pretty clear they took out features to make the game progress "slower." They can release those same events in a month, 2 months, etc. and call it new DLC.

Keeps people from beating the game in a month and not returning.

I spent three days "completing" the game and nothing but HSR in a Gr4 since. Why oh why isn't there a new game plus? There are 10 championships and about a 100 or so single race events. It it really too much to ask that a prize car added to each event to give a reason for actually doing the races?

So Jimmy Fallon gets the full game, paying players don't. That's a bit of a slap in the face.

How annoying. Many probably won't return anyway after completing the Cafe, moving onto something else. Plenty of other decent titles for gamers out there.

People that are into the game would keep playing anyway and it wouldn't be such a bad look on PD.

Misjudged or even a cynical move from PD.

OK,this is some serious BS, i just did Circuit Experience at BMB ,got gold on all,2 sectors ,1 full lap, took like 2 minutes,got 42k, so i did it again, improved my time on all three, payout ...0.0 credits...so if you want to better your times on CE you are not rewarded.:irked:
 
Question: after finishing the last Menu, is it true you can't chat with Luca or Cris anymore?

So far I've been taking every car to the Cafe just to see if someone there has something to say. If they're gone after the last Menu, I don't mind collecting all cars just to hear their wise words :sly:

To me, that’s expected behavior, like in GTS. Max reward when you reach gold, rest is bragging rights.
 
Removing events that previously were in the game is a really shady and inexcusable move by Polyphony.

Guess we know what happened to the rest of the Café Menus.
