Well, my life doesn’t revolve around them, but in GT Sport the 20.000.000 cr. cars were the final long grind (really, really long grind) for most players, whereas most other cars were quickly acquired in comparison. It has been balanced in GT7. Basically, affordable cars take more effort to obtain than in GT Sport and expensive cars take less effort.
Pretty sure there is one rally event miles ahead of the rest but even if there was 2 or 3, that is still far too few. In the old games by the time you finished there were four or five events with 20 odd races total that all paid out in the same ballpark.
Are you crazy? It's a racing game. I can do that race twice a day once a week. We have over 400 cars in the game... oh, wait a second! This game is so bad. I would like to play it somehow but there is not way. I can't do time trials, because it's not paid. I can't do custom races because it's almost not paid and saved. But I can do some prepared stuff I don't care with almost no paying. Or I can do awesome arcade races.
I worked my way up to 5th in the Mazda, then 6th place pitted me into the grass. On lap 9 I got pitted again. I wound up in last place-by that time I didn't give a fig and persevered just to finish. The Mazda is definitely not the car to use.
I hate this game currently very much. It's so dumb. Cafe was OK even I wasn't happy. After cafe, the game is completely dead and trolling you. "Check our legend store, loser!"
Joyless? Do you know what is racing? Or I just want to take some of the 400+ cars and enjoy it on Nordschleife. But I can't because I didn't pay enough. 100 euro is just beginning?

Gran Turismo has never been the kind of game to just give you everything for free like Forza is. I swear that series has spoiled people. If you are JUST playing GT7 for the racing you will be disappointed, and tbh I don't know what you expected. You have to be a car enthusiast on some level in order to get the most out of it because yes, it's not super deep in terms of racing.
I played GT since GT5 because of racing and because there was "real racing simulator" text. GT5 wasn't bad at all. GTS was what it was and GT7 should be successor to good old times. No problem with me, the game is currently trash from gaming perspective.
Yeah, physics is not on a sim level so there is no point. I can do much better lapping in ACC, rF2 or R3E and feel 10 times better. In GT7 I love the graphics and physics is finally on a good level but still far from the sim level. What about cars? I want to try cars I bought but game blocked them. GT has probably the biggest road car count with this physics. There is a potential, but not now.
