GT7's success is calculated by player numbers, if there is enough of a percentage of players that all of a sudden stop playing after the 1.07 patch. They will investigate and research what the possible culprit could be. No they won't assume that a percentage of players would have died at exactly the same time! :lol:

Given they shut down Studio Liverpool and killed off WipEout after WipEout HD:Fury was a best seller on PSN, Sony definitely does not care about player numbers or sales.

If the game didn't demand such a grind, and hadn't run out of content so quickly, people wouldn't have been flocking to the best grinds.

I think it's different if, like me, you only get an hour or two a day to play on it. I'm not running out of content any time soon and I don't yearn for most of the really expensive cars. Collecting and liverying (which apparently IS a real word!) Gr.3 & Gr.4 cars is my sweet spot tbh, or now turning road saloons into Gr.4 equivalents which I couldn't do in GTS. And I still kind of stand by my slightly sarcastic point that if fewer people had shouted, Sony & PD would have less felt the need to adjust. But that's me, I only tend to make a fuss if one of my legs fall off.
 
Some are mentioning paying for a one time DLC, F the micro transactions etc....Driveclub did it best. They sold a Season Pass for $20! and the amount of content they put out in 2+ years was insane. Tracks, cars, tournaments, and here we are being asked to pay $20 for one car. Sure even DC had a pricetag for a single vehicle...except it was like $2.50 lol.
 
How long is the server maintenance suppose to go for? I updated and can't even play because of server maintenance message pops up.

But I’d quite confidently say that this demographic you’re referring to are the least likely to pay for micro transactions, or am I the exception? I’ve been a fan since the first game, and I’m definitely among those who’re the most upset about these things.

This I certainly agree with. Once I've bought a game, I may pay for a large DLC down the road, but I never, ever use real money instead of, or to buy, in game credit. And I am one of those (ahem!) older players

Yes , It is so Karen to use the collective force of the gaming community to out predatory MTX and graphics downgrades on a 70$ game.
Why did Sony shut down Evo Studios. They should have shut down PD and given Evo Granturismo. Evo improved the graphics of drive club , evo fixed glitches , evo listened to us and talked to us . Evo got lynched because the servers were not working for a week.. In a game that is fully playable offline.. GT is not fully playable offline , PD has made the game worse with patches so far , PD won't talk to us . Yes bro , super karen . I hope some mechanic puts the wrong oil in your car and blows the engine , and when you dare complain about it and say you may sue or call the local radio station when they make the situation worse , I'm going to call you a karen .

Always Online was always at the start of GTS, back when PD were still planning to use the Paid DLC model rather than MTX. So i dont think its because of MTX.

Because were in the beginning of the Sony live service era, theyre probably testing the waters with this ****. Lets see if Factions 2 will have MTX in it, because im 99% sure it will and many others will come. Also, most sony titles are single player only. in the last decade they have 3 games (besides GT) that have multiplayer, 2/3 have MTX.

And GT7 was supposed to be a single player game too, with a multiplayer option, much like The Last of Us, or so I thought. The thing is that micro transactions in GT7 affects the single player more than it affects the multiplayer (Hardly affects multiplayer at all actually.) This surely must be quite unique, and it makes it all the more disgusting.

This started life as a standard M3 '07. Widebody, wheels, suspension, tuning, racing tyres (RM and IM) and some ballast to limit PP if required, plus a livery to make it look less boring. Easily takes on genuine Gr.4 cars on most tracks. Not cheap, but unique.
 
Well, not the best news on my morning, no motivation to grind right now and I won't spend a single coin on MTX, I'll just do the daily reward to get the roulette ticket; this sucks big time

Oh that. I thought there was a way to make then gr4 eligible. Yeah that’s great. I have modified my mustang to a point that it’s barely driveable 😂

Playstation has been getting more western centric ever since gamers in Japan has shifted from mostly home consoles to portable gaming. I wont be surprised if PD gets shutdown if the Japanese is becoming more disinterested in home consoles.

Anyways I'm going to go wash my Rx7 and have my wallet violated at a gas station because people voted for a clown who has done everything possible to ensure gas goes up :) gotta love greed man . It's a tough time to be a car guy , used car prices are through the roof , gas is at an all time high , hotwheels are always out of stock so I can't even enjoy that any more. Oh and I can't even play GT and if i can have to spend more time grinding to buy a 100,000$ S2000.
I feel I'm one of the few people left who feels i should own the things i pay for and not have a psudo subscription service.

SIE bought Firesprite last September, the heir to Studio Liverpool which is now bigger than ever and has 3 games in development (4 if we count their collaboration on Star Citizen).
A new wipeout is rumored to be in development by Lucid.

Won't happen, they already turned down a couple of pitches (I can't say any more than that) also the rumoured "new" game is nothing more than a mobile gacha game.
