Going to interesting regarding players that use GT to escape realism. Now, those people really can't afford a C63 or Shelby GT350.

Yeah, I think ratings falling for being locked out of your primarily singleplayer game for over 12 hours because of a decision to make it require an online connection AND being updated to have an insane money grind essentially forced upon you to be able to afford anything is pretty deserved.

I hope this bites them in the A$$ and they are forced to make the game fully offline single player in next update due to this massive server instability and the review bombing that came from it. LOL what a ****show!!!

Yeah, hopefully Test Drive Solar Crown which comes later this year is any good. Because that is probably the last console game I buy in a long time. PS5 and new TV to get the full graphics, too expensive for me..

Also sick with the damn microtransactions stuff in almost all games these days 😠 Just charge once 85-100€ for a perfectly working console game with barely any bugs and free updates and be done with it.

You can't do much with these online-always connected games when they have a server crash for 12 hours! We waited a decade for a real GT game and this is what we get for buying full price at launch? Come on!!!!!!!!!! They should never have made a GT game with this online-only BS! GT is much better without such nonsense in my opinion! Someone needs to get fired for this abomination. Possibly Kaz too while we're at it ;D

I hope the game is back up tonight. My wife called me and was like she was going to bed early so I decided I was going to play GT7 for the 1st time tonight but that may not be happening. I guess I just install the game and play Project Cars 2
 
I hope this is not a Battlefront two where PD removes the MTX and fixes the prpgression but then ditches the game due to a lack of monitization and players finish the game super quick.
Also today was my free day . Legal work sucks and Saturdays are for the girlfriend.

Pick any one of the offered cars and go into the race. THEN go to the Settings menu and you can choose one of your garage cars. Hope that helps, mate.

Thanks. I appreciate everyone trying to help, but this simply does not work. The settings menu only lets me choose the settings for the car I'm in, driving options, and display options. I was on my alt account so I switched to my main thinking that having a paid PS+ account might be the answer, but no go there either.

you can only use garage cars for time trials offline.... actual races dont give the garage option
 
Honestly if this length of a downtime shortly after a new launch of a flagship series doesn't teach Sony/PD (whoever demanded it) that online only has no place in gaming then nothing will - it is insanely ridiculous that a single player experience is cut off and dictated by this ineptitude.

People always rise to the "Oh, but you're connected to the internet right now to post this!" defence - and I saw it here a lot in the weeks/months preceding the launch when people criticised the decision but obviously that's never really the problem.

Stuff like this is, and is exactly why it shouldn't be a practice at all. Should be no reason we cant do offline career or custom races right now.

I actually uninstalled Project CARS 2 today to make room for the GT7 version 1.07 download. :grumpy:
