I thought about GT again and I expected to start with some cheap and slow car and unlock races and buy cars. At start you could have about 5 races. After racing you could have about 150 races from slower ones to faster ones. But I don't see it here. Am I wrong or they forgot to add any career mode?

I was going to ask what sort of used car dealership Kaz is used to visiting where they have $800k cars sitting on the lot and then I remembered there is a dealership in my neighborhood that has a bunch of crazy exotics like the one in GT7. I can walk there in 2 minutes.

Does the community at hand know what the legendary cars are for the 3 legendary car trophy?

Edit: Oops, I wanted to post this in the FAQ thread. Oh well... Appreciate any answers.

True but what was the prize? Did you buy the F1 yet?
On the off chance that you’re being serious…

Who cares about the prize?! I’m not playing the game for the credits although they are necessary to buy cars to have these fun races.

I won’t be getting any of those old cars because that’s not why I bought the game. I prefer to spend the credits on racing cars of different classes. I have gr4, gr3, gr2, grB, super formula and karts. Next million will probably be spent on a gr1 car.

I do want the alfa romeo 155 and the clk though. I have time to get them.

Anyone still stuck at the menu book bug???
I do, after collecting the 2nd car at Ford menu book, the 3rd mission suddenly disappeared, no compass was shown. Still the same after 1.08. That's really disappointing!!!

Oh, you don't care about cars then. GT was always about road cars. You can't find better game for it. For racing cars I have ACC, rF2, R3E and others. It's fine addition but I want to drive road cars and classics. But I can't because it's not how it should be played.

I've been playing a lot with Gr.3 races, mainly because well, I like my Vette and because I'm testing the oil/engine wear.

If, for whatever reason, you don't want to race in rally or Gr.4 but you still want some credits, then Gr.3 got you covered!

Again, nothing "meta". This is purely because of fun, because you can't stand the other events or because you can't stop thinking about that lovely Gr.3 engine noise.

Anyway. There's four Gr.3 races with 5 laps, all* of them paying 50k + 25k if you get the clean race bonus.
*La Sarthe is also 5 laps, but 5 laps there equals to more than 18 minutes. It pays like one of the 10 laps race (70k)

Spa-Francorchamps - You can beat it in total time of 12 minutes. Although it's "slow", it's by far the easiest regardless the difficulty you're playing because the AI really struggles with Eau Rouge. The track is wide and overall it's just a cozy 5 laps with an easy clean race bonus.

Lago Maggiore - it's the fatest circuit with a total time of 10:20 minutes. Just be careful with the AI because this one can give you a tiny bit of trouble (or I'm just bad at this track). At the easiest difficulty the AI finished less than 2 seconds behind me and at the hardest difficulty the AI actually came quite close between 0.5-1s! (now that I'm thinking about, I'm really just bad...). Also very easy to get clean race bonus.

Suzuka - total time of 10:30 minutes. Between this and Maggiore, well, pick your poison. The problem with Suzuka is that I find it easy to lose the clean race bonus. The track is tighter and it's easy to collide with the AI, or better saying, the AI colliding with you!

If you're thinking "what about doing one 10-lap race versus doing two 5-lap races?". Those 10-lap races are paying 70k, so that's 105k with clean race bonus

All 10-lap races have tire wear and fuel consumption so you have to pit. Catalunya, Maggiore, Monza and Dragon Trail are 20 minutes minimum. Fiji it's a rainy race, so it's even slower. La Sarthe may be a good alternative, since you can finish in ~18-19 minutes, but that's still 45k credits below 5-lap races, just like Daytona where you can finish in 18 minutes.

TL;DR: basically in ~24 minutes you can do two 5-lap races and earn 150k or one 10-lap race to get 105k.

If you ask me, altough those 10-laps races are really fun (especially Fiji!), right now I prefer the 5-lap races. I think they're fun enough for an hour or so of grinding.
Nice alternative. But.... If you really want the fastest way to earn credits it's still Fishermans Ranch. Roughly 450k in 30 mins (it's a little less because technically 1 race is about 3'12" - 3'20").

Earning credits is just ridiculous. I played little over 70 hours and earned 19.3mil. That is a mix of menu books, missions, licenses, circuit experience and grinding Fishermans Ranch both pre and post update 1.07. I saw somewhere here that currently it will cost about 250 - 300mil to have all cars. Do the math how many hours it will take to hopefully earn all cars in the game (that's without DLC cars). I'm guessing more than 1000 hours.

Well if you don’t consider gt to be about road cars and that’s what you want I don’t understand why you got the game (assuming you’re here because you did).

Do you have any idea how contradictory what you just said is?

Edit: I give up. The naivety among these apologists just goes to show they will defend Kaz no matter what. Even if the highest payout for a race was reduced to 5,000 cr and the R34 Skyline GT-R was suddenly sold for 2,000,000 they’d go; “Why do you want everything right now? Be patient!”

I had forgotten that you can buy Safety Cars!
I did a livery hastily, in a little while I'll go out to check the track at dawn for the 24 hours preparation. And check out the replay, of course. Then it will be Le Mans and Mount Panorama with their respective liveries. :D

I don't have that issue but i can't apply or edit pre-existing liveries which is another thing they supposedly fixed in the 1.07 ☹️ So basically they haven't actually fixed them or they reverted the 1.07 fixes to quickly release the 1.08... Who knows!

It is about road cars and that's why I like it so much. I don't care about GT3 or GT4 stuff too much because it's everywhere else with much better everything.

You just said it’s not how it should be played when referring to road cars so I’m confused.

And I disagree the gt3 and gt4 experience is better everywhere else.

All the other games don’t even come close to the driving on gt7 with the controller.

And the online component in all other games is **** compare to gt7.

Oh, I meant I can't buy them because there are no races at all. I don't know how to play this game currently. I would like to try F1 for instance, but how?

To that I agree. I don’t like the way you get low rewards. For me is more of a not enough content issue. I didn’t want to grind the same race over and over even if it paid double what it paid on 1.06.

Better rewards for custom races and online, even if it’s just to be on par with current payouts, and more single player content is all the game needs imo.

Exactly. I would love to play with slow cars because I don't want to tune road cars currently. I want to check their stock form and most cars in GT are already in sport version. Almost everything in game is from 600 to 800 PP. It's too much. I would like to race something about 350 and try every possible road car the game has. It's like Forza Horizon, I love D and C class races, they are great there.

And reality check, I can fire up AC in a minute and play with F1. There is no reason to hide it from me.

Yes. I would be very happy if they would go this way. More single player content is coming for sure, but i'm just wondering how low they will set the earnings.
I must say, i've never been as frustrated as this in my whole gaming career. Gran Turismo is my favorite game series and i could not wait to play GT7. To be honest, for me i just like the game and find the game very good. Yes there could be more content, AI and stuff should be better. We all know that. But it's just so frustrating that PD treats there fanbase the way they do now. They had an excellent release, things were looking very good. But then to deliberately LOWER payouts just to promote MT's... I mean it's been a few days now, but i'm just so mad about this **** move.

Do some custom races with the stock road cars. I’m sure you’ll find it fun.
