These are really awesome, just a couple of Q's haha... for the Red Bull, what pattern did you use, and which shade of silver/grey did you use for the Audi?
Thanks! I improvised the pattern for the RB and I think the Audi‘s color was one of the game‘s base metallic colors. I don‘t remember the exact one though.

edit: ok, red bull done, can't be arsed with it anymore...

For some reason GR4 cars dont qualify for Tyre branding. At least all the ones I have tried, have not allowed it

DAAAAAANGGGG! That is one awesome clean replica livery. Bravo.

I am trying to semi replicate a livery of my own. Shane Van Gisbergen's Daytona 500 livery of this year. Im trying to incorporate lightning effects such as that, but I cannot for the life of me work out how to get a decent image balance with an acceptable size. particularly with the glow effect too. Can anyone recomend any ideas? Pictures for reference.
Thank you!

That is a very complex graphic. I’m not the most experienced with decal uploading however, mostly everything main sponsor wise on my cars is made by me.

In my experience, gradients are nearly impossible to get into the game. I’m sure someone here who has been doing it longer knows a way. I’d love to know how also.

If I were to tackle that ambitious livery.. I’d probably redraw the Lightning myself in illustrator and use the in game gradients to create the effect. The character most likely would be redrawn from a reference as well without gradients, but that’s asking alot with the layer limit.

Judging from what I’ve seen in showcase there’s definitely a way to tackle this. I unfortunately don’t know though.

I use Illustrator also, and seems you have to choose "Styling Attributes" on the second save pop up, when saving a svg. If it's anything else, it shows in game as a black shape.

Appreciate the info.. I’ll look into that

Recreated the special color for the VGT Roadster:

Dark Moss Green Metallic (134, 48, 9)

Another F1 livery done, just a few more left to go

And now the Alpine..

Actually this was my first crack at none metallics

Now the Caddy, this took some work to figure out not only the actual livery, but then how to apply it to a pretty basic GT3 car

Haas done now. Couldn't decide on which car to go with, but figured at least the Ferrari is a real car and not some VGT nonsense. So, I didn't include the Toyota branding.

Also I'm terrible with scapes, so apologies for repeating the same scenes

It looks to me like you did a fine job there mate. Keep toggling through the settings and extra features and you'll eventually be a master of the liveries and scapes sections of the game. It just takes time and patience.

By accident I found a way to change opacity of decals which usually don't allow that.

Here's how to do it:
  1. Choose an arbitrary standard shape decal (e.g., a white square) and apply it to the car where you later want to have the final decal.
  2. Change the opacity of the standard decal as desired.
  3. Now replace the standard decal with the final decal. Replacing a decal carries over the settings you made for the previous decal including opacity. Voila!
If you are not happy with the opacity at the end, replace your final decal with a standard decal again, readjust its opacity as desired, then replace it again with your final decal.

Quick question: Sometimes I stumble across designs that say "The paint color hasn't been set for this design" when I apply them.
But how do I actually create a design like this?

That message indicates that the creator of the design didn't set a specific paint for the design. This means that the car you put that design on will retain the body colour you bought it in (unless the design just covers the whole car in decals, of course, but it technically still has the original paint).

You can choose a specific paint for the wheels I believe, but if you paint the car's body it will certainly lose "The paint color hasn't been set for this design" message.
