And the other FTO livery I wanted to replicate, the racing modifications from Gran Turismo 1 & 2. I've already replicated this livery on the Evo Gr.B Rally Car and Evo IV, so I was happy to finally be able to put this livery on the actual car it was for.

The only thing on this one is that I used the wrong wheels. Also the RMs for the 1997 FTOs in GT2 used different wheels to the BBS ones here aswell (and had the black windshield decal that this one has), but I could always make alternates.

That wasn't the only Racing Modification I replicated though as today, I decided to replicate the 1997 Honda NSX RM from GT1 & 2. Mainly because it was a simple livery, I thought of doing this for a while since the 2000 JGTC NSX was added.

The 1997 NSX RMs only came in 3 colors between the variations, but I have it in 4 here because I wasn't sure if the dark blue color was meant to be truly blue or midnight purple.

So, a W.I.P. livery replica of the 1998 Castrol Mugen NSX. I was using Scale model pictures plus a picture of decals as references for the most part.

Anyway, it's a W.I.P. because as you can see; I'm missing decals in places like on the back and the side as examples. Plus, I just noticed the front quarter fender decals look a bit wrong at the tip. So, those have to be fixed. My plan is to finish this so I can also give it a white alternate color option, based on a scrapped color from GT2's game demos.

Here's a more finished livery, a simple replica of the 1997 Raybrig NSX Test Car. I had to upload a new decal to make this work since I couldn't find the SP air decal I needed.

and this is one I was working on months back, that I forgot about. An alternate colored Puma livery for the Mitsubishi GTO. This is based on a scrapped livery from the GT2 demos. I think I stopped either due to restrained time or something else. Anyway, I think I'll work on this soon. After taking care of some other things.

Tried to recreate Sime Darby Racing's Porsche Carerra Cup Asia livery from 2024. Gave up in trying to get the other patterns after doing the sides. Link.

While there are pictures of the exact car online, I used the livery from an Assetto Corsa mod that was given, by signing up for Porsche Malaysia's Esports Sprint Challenge back in 2024. I've tried and trace some of the patterns on Illustrator for a while.

My completed work with the beta Mitsubishi GTO liveries. As said before, they're from the GT2 demos, there were a few racing modifications in the demos that had different paint schemes. What's funny is that this isn't the first time Polyphony was having different ideas on what to do with the GTO's Racing Modifications.

Of course when I finished those, I had to include the actual colors used in GT2 officially.

I also decided to recreate the racing modification livery for the EK Honda Civic RM from GT1 & 2 today. Though for the Civic Touring Car since it was appropriate. Since it can have a regular Civic grill, I thought it would work.

I also had to recreate the earlier design of that livery found hidden in the GT1 Trial Edition discs. It had a couple extra decals, plus some extra colors based on the Civic.

Has anyone else been experiencing issues with the livery editor freezing constantly since the latest update?

Since last Thursday I‘ve been getting the dreaded infinite loading symbol like 20+ times per livery. Pretty annoying since I‘ve been working on another design for the 296 GT3 since last Saturday but the game doesn‘t let me finish it.

I‘m playing on a PS4 Pro btw.
I'd never had the issue before but seem to be getting it a lot now.

Been back to doing some liveries over the Christmas break and suddenly started having the issues.

Can't figure out what is causing it, I can have cars with all the same decals which are fine and then one of them will randomly get the issue so I don't think it's down to an svg doing something weird.

Only thing I've found which seems to help is to to do GT Logo in top left > Options > Network > Delete Temporary Data and then is seems to reload them next time. But then the livery can play up again later.

I find it weird seeing a Mitsubishi in the Subaru Blue and Gold

Is there a reason for a decal to give an error everytime you try to place it under a favorite "folder"? My collection is like 14 pages long and today I decided that enough is enough and went ahead categorizing decals under a favorite folder thingy per category. But multiple decals are refusing to be groupped together and are giving me an error everytime I try.

I guess I could try to remove and re upload them, but they are tied to multiple liveries which would be broken if they miss the original file.

Is there a way to fix this? Browsing 14 pages is getting quite the chore.

New M6 Sprint liveries for my league and also Manufacturers Cup.

Not a fan of where the number goes for the Manufacturers cup though, but had to change it because I hate when the one they put on automatically covers up part of the logo.

You can only collect x number of decals in a folder and there is a x number of max folders. I have 31 pages of decals and also tried to categorize but it's not possible in a feasible way

this is so Poliphony, stopping right at the point where you might make thinks easier and usefull for the final user. I get limits are needed at some point, but here either you limit the number of folders or you limit the amount of stuff you get to put inside one. By limiting both at the same time, they are making sure the feature is useless.

Yes I was completely ready to create folders named A to Z to alphabetically sort my decals.

But even being able to search in my own decals would be better. I know I have an Advan decal somewhere in 25 pages but using someone's else saves my 10 minutes lol.

yeah, a search thingy, or even a tagging system, WHICH THEY ALREADY HAVE IMPLEMENTED IN THE SHOWCASE, would be so, so, so much better than browsing tens of pages.

plus I usually just go ahead and upload my own, since we never know if the uploader won't simply delete theirs, breaking your livery instantly. So there are duplicated stuff on my library, which costs them money to store, simply because sometimes I don't know if I already have that decal there or not.

The folders are frustrating me.

I changed my number in the league I'm in so deleted the folder with the old number and created a new one for the updated number.

Everytime I go back in there though the old folder is there and the new one is missing (I also only have 5 different folders atm)

Could it have anything to do with having the decals also in my collection?

I HATE this thing. Helmets are hard enough to get right and more often than not mine end up ruined by this silly thing distorting everything.

Regarding the livery editor, does anybody know the reason of the 15kb size limit?
As I'm trying to create my own liveries, wonder the results we could get with more than 15Kb, dealing with SVG coverters, sites like jakearchibald, using Inkscape and other stuff can make the process easier or harder depending the livery you want to create.

So liveries don't become to large. Imagine, with 300 layers per side per car, all 50kb decals, in an online race with 20 cars.

At least that is my idea. Svgs are meant to be small.

what @Gingerale said. Plus, it all adds up because Poliphony/Sony, somebody, has to foot the bill for the cloud storage of all these files. It gets silly expensive pretty quickly considering the game has sold upwards of 12 million copies already. Granted, there isn't 12 million players uploading decals, but still.

Plus, just to add to what @Gingerale said, back in GT Sport days, it was common to start a race and some cars take a loooong while (if ever, in some cases) to load up the liveries: the game has to get every single file, a livery is just a set of coordinates, sizes and links to the svgs, so 20 cars with hundreds of layers made of huge svg files can get network costly for no good reason.

I use svgomg for my svg conversions. 15kb is def a challenge to get under for more complex logos but, to be fair, separating a single logo into separate colors has it's benefits. Helps keep colors consistent between the base and main sponsor logos.

So after some testing, I decided to go with the Nissan GT-R for the league, and then after our first practice race on Monday night I wasn't happy so went back to the AMG that I have used the past 2 seasons (my original plan was 2 seasons in a car then change)

This may not be a livery request as such but probably more likely relevant to anyone in here.

Has anyone had PS warnings for sharing decals?

Been way less active on GT7 than I had on Sport, been sharing a good chunk of my SVG files over the last few weeks as I've been trying to upload and share more or less in alphabetical order so they are easier for me to find.

Overnight I've received 3 PlayStation Network emails saying I've breached code of conduct which I can't even remotely fathom as nothing was adult content related at all, just plain boring company decals.

Just vaguely concerned now that as I have no idea what was supposedly a breach and don't really want to share anything else in case I end up with a ban for multiple strikes.

Did you upload any Dewalt decals by any chance?
