That message indicates that the creator of the design didn't set a specific paint for the design. This means that the car you put that design on will retain the body colour you bought it in (unless the design just covers the whole car in decals, of course, but it technically still has the original paint).

You can choose a specific paint for the wheels I believe, but if you paint the car's body it will certainly lose "The paint color hasn't been set for this design" message.
Hm, ok I suppose that only works for shared designs then. Because if I buy a car, don't change the paint and just put some decals on and save it it, I definitely don't see the message when I apply this design again.

Yes, the message only appears through shared styles. You will have to share it, public or private, for it to appear.

Made a few changes to the worn Camaro livery. Time to stop adding more detail, before I overdo and ruin it.

That Volvo looks awesome!
Working on a worn livery for the Boss 429. Still WIP (is a livery ever truely finished?), but close to finishing it.

Really cool color scheme! 👌

Hey I'm curious to hear your thoughts on showcase gallery "curation". I'm thinking of it along the lines of an art gallery doesn't display every single painting it owns, some may be back in storage, others discarded or sold off etc. Only certain pieces are on display at any given time.

Are you the sort of person that once a livery is shared it stays there forever, or do you put any thought or "rules" in choosing what to keep sharing?

I've accumulated a bit of clutter in mine over time and looking to clean it out and trim it down a bit, but not sure whether it's worth doing so, or the best way to go about it.

Sometimes I delete scapes and photos but liveries only when I update them.
I still wonder if i 'delete' a decal or unshare it, it wont be visible on my liveries.

Yep I'm pretty sure if a decal is deleted it disappears from a livery. Sometimes you can still see it in the thumbnail, but on the livery itself it's gone.

I had that issue early on, decals disappearing for no apparent reason until I realised they had been deleted by other users who had shared them.

So I started uploading them myself and only use decals I have created and I never delete them. Since then I've shared nearly 9000 decals now

Good to know I still have a ways to go to my decal limit  (if there IS a limit to how many decals you can upload...)

That said, if you really wanted to make sure the decals stay on the cars that have them, I think it'd be much safer to not share the decals, so they don't run the risk of being (false) flagged by other users and deleted. I know it sucks, but it is what it is. I'm working on a car that has a turbocharger with a lot of Ks in its name. I uploaded my own version of the logo because I don't trust anything on Discover won't be nuked, and there's no way in hell I'm sharing my version of it for the same reason.

If there's a limit it must be huge. I've shared "only" 87 pages of decals, but there's one person who has shared 250 pages or something. That's 20000+ decals.

And that's the Turbolader logo, isn't it? I've shared a few of them, as far back as two years ago and they're still there. I just didn't mention the Ks in the name or description. But you're right, some aren't worth the risk in sharing

I don't mind sharing them, it makes it easier for me to search for them when I use them again myself.

The only one I ever really had an issue with, like everyone else, was anything for DeWALT. So I made a DeLETED decal instead.

Yes i want to do this as well but as long as you cannot search in your own collection this takes sooo much time. its insane.

Thanks for sharing your decals mate! I‘ve been using a lot of yours for my liveries, they‘re always high quality!

Carbon detaylar beni hep etkilemiştir. Her tasarımımda carbon kullanmadan edemiyorum.

I think this is the right thread for this; I took my 800PP C8 with my GTD Pro inspired livery for a refresh after a long time using my og livery; tried to make this new one a bit more real life like but what you all think? The design is based from the JMR livery that I did a while ago. Hope you like it!

Old livery = Car 44
New livery = Car 24

First attempt at my favorite livery on my favorite car:

On photos it doesn't look bad compared to the original:

Even in Race photos:

Still, watching on replays, uhm..., it looks way too dark, black parts of the pattern prevail, I don't know, maybe an optical effect due to the nature of the pattern (that I got using Grok)
