He has said over 420 in other interviews so I'm going by that. Technically that can mean anywhere from 421 to a million but I choose to interpret it as in the ballpark of 420-470 but we'll see.
I completely agree that the number of cars is going to be more than 420 extracting from the GT official site but I do not think it is that far north from that number. I mean, think about it, why would PD advertise that GT7 has over 420 cars when in reality it could have 462, for example, then why not say that it has more than 460 cars instead of 420 because clearly that would be a better number to publish in the official website.

430-450 cars should be a realistic prediction right?

I believe in something like 422-425 cars, I'd like to be wrong in a positive way.
I take into account the fact that it was 420+ in September 2021, so it could be that they'all add maybe 5 to 15 cars by March 2022 so that's why I said 430-440. More we get better for us!

I think we can reach 600-650 cars at end of GT7 lifespan

Because 420 is nice

Seems to be a habit.
  • GT1 = "Feel the power of 140 authentic sports cars!" = exactly 140
  • GT2's "over 500" = 650
  • GT3's "over 200" = 181... the one that is wrong
  • GT4's "over 700" = 722
  • GTPSP's "over 800" = 833
  • GT5's "over 1000" = 1075
  • GT6's "over 1200" = 1241
  • GT7's "over 150" = 168 (launch)

Well, following that pattern for GT7 420-450 should be a realistic amount, at launch

Yep, you can see the trend, I think 420 is what they have as target (and most probably what they have modeled or closed to be fully modeled by september) so I wouldn't be surprised if end up being something around 430-435 at launch

I'm so excited to see just how crisp and clear the models of the new to series cars are going to be on a PS5. PD essentially curate copies of these vehicles, in digital form, of a quality suitable for a museum.

Is this confirmation of the Alfa-Romeo 8C returning?

Alfa 8C is "new" (returning, but not seen until now), as is the GT-R Nismo behind the Carrera GT, but I think we've seen all the others.
Speaking of that GT-R, what is the yellow car behind it? It kind of looks like an F1 with the windshield and roof scoop but there are no air intakes on the front. I don't recall what trailer this screen is from but in a way that car looks similar to a Mosler MT900 although that's not quite right either.

Edit: Just watched the trailer again watching the mirror and I'm pretty sure it's a yellow F1 with some graphical anomalies. Also, automatic headlights confirmed? They turn on and off inside the tunnels. Not sure if that was ever a thing before. And damn it will they ever fix the over-revving during shifting? Drives me nuts.

No its a regular McLaren F1
Has a middle seat like the Macca

The Scapes car selection showed that there were up to 428 cars in the game (car list might not be final yet). We'll just have to wait and see the final list hopefully soon enough.

On one shot with the Lexus RC F GT3, Ford GT Race Car, Audi R18 TDI, Mercedes and Zagato VGT's, there seems to be a Dodge Viper GTS-R (2014 model) on the background, not sure if that's an actual new car, or just the GT3-R with a new livery.

Unless that garage has 428 unique cars, it doesn't mean much for the actual amount of cars in game.
