Do you want more detailed and realistic physics on the next GT

This was 2 years ago, Sophy doesn’t end up in barriers unless they make it part of the model.

I think people don’t realise that Sophy is faster than all of us, it’s them restraining it to make it raceable for us is the actual challenge.

I REALLY want to see the "full Monty" Sophy in game. I don't understand the restraint. Sure, make the single player easier, but leave it to the player to turn up the heat. Who cares if 100% is unbeatable? We'll find the fun.

I’ve just clocked the pole, and I think it’s inaccurately placed to be honest.

Firstly AI isn’t physics, at least how 99.9% of the player base experiences it.

Secondomdly it’s a determinative answer when the real questions are either is the physics good enough for the game we have or actually the utter point, are real physics what we want when most of us are quite rubbish using the current ones.

You have to either take the red or blue pill.

Kaz is seemingly very particular about his vision for this game which I can understand, because I do view him as an artist of sorts.

But sometimes his vision is narrow in scope and at odds with what would make a good simulation/game. As frustrating as that can be, he's doing a good job.

I agree with you tho! lol

Indycar Racing II from like 1996 allowed you to set the Ai speed in 1% increments per track, from 80% to 120%.

Am I the only one that notices how often a spin out or collision or contact with a wall/barrier results in the car coming to rest facing exactly 180 degrees the wrong way? I'm calling shenanigans. It's not physics and it's not even an attempt at physics, it is a philosophical decision being forced onto the player. For me it crosses the line from GT7 as simulator, to just another game.

When the tires slide out due to touching the grass or whatever, I'm not fighting to regain control of the vehicle, I'm 100% just trying to prevent the end result of facing 180 the wrong way and seeing limited results.
Not sure about that, I know if I get over on the grass I just lightly feather the throttle and usually keeps me straight, anymore than 1/3 throttle and you’re usually just spinning out.

The walls are terrible in this game, you can just graze it and sometimes it just magnetically turns you head on into the wall. Hardly ever ricochet off of them, if a front fender touched a wall, usually its tractor beaming you into the wall.

As for spins, I haven’t really noticed too much. I imagine a car with tires spinning is going to want to go forwards or backwards. I’ve even managed to do a full 360 and end up pointed in the right direction. This usually requires me to catch the spin at just the right moment and actually steer so I induce a further spin.

I wonder if you could practice trying to replicate and instead of countersteering just steer into it until it goes. So if the back end of the car is kicking out to your right, steer left with not a lot of throttle and then countersteering once it starts to whip around.

I have not noticed the whole facing backwards thing but the magnetic barriers drive me absolutely MENTAL, sometimes I cannot extricate myself from barriers, it is extremely frustrating.

Sometimes you’re almost facing straight, figure you can just drive ahead, nope it just turns your straight into the barrier/wall again haha. It’s funny high speed you can deflect off but a lower speed it just grabs you and pulls you in.
