Always looking forward to trying out the new cars - I reckon the Elantra N will be a lot of fun.

Sad though that there isn’t a new Sophy Track (and no surprise for no new circuit, probably best to rule out a new circuit for 2025 at the very least).

I'm happy at least with the new WTC 700, even without a new Gr4 car to use in it. Guess the plan is just to convert the Elantra to TCR spec, though it won't be as good without a racing engine.

A personal annoyance that probably only I care about: I see with the ELANTRA and the MAZDA SPIRIT RACING ROADSTER they're letting the branding uppercase sneak back into the car names.

That's irritating, I liked GT7 doing away with those, and it's especially annoying when they have a bunch of Roadsters and now one ROADSTER that will stick out.

I have no idea why the image of the ROADSTER's interior reminded me of a pre-release shot from GT SPORT.

The Mazda3 got recapitalized few updates back.

Also, what each events correspond to:
  • Sunday Cup: RAV4 or FJ Cruiser? (either, not both - FJ40 would have got Sunday Cup Classic)
  • Japanese FR Challenge 450: Roadster 12R
  • Race of Turbo Sports: Elantra N
  • VGT Trophy: Opel VGT
  • WTC700: filler?

At least I don't have to go to the office tomorrow, I don't need to wait 15 minutes after coming home to install it because the update only went live after I've left for work.

Bummed about the RAV4, not cause it's a SUV or it'll likely be not modifiable. I'm just not a fan of the pre-facelift XA50. It resembles the Toyota Tacoma from GT4 in an uglier way. The facelift is many times prettier.

Very pleased they're expanding pre-existing Scapes nations in this update.

Probably for GT8 😅.

Seeing how every update is getting a significant decrease on new or updates features it reinforce my idea that this will be the last year of active support while they move full to GT8 development
I'd hope that they've been in full GT8 development for a while, and the updates are from the support crew, or we're not seeing the next game for many more years than expected.

This RAV4 isn't a 2.5L 4 cylinder? That's all that's coming up on Google for this specific model with no mention of a CVT nor hybrid

It's like they're taking some of the least interesting available cars in the backlog for GT7 updates. This game keeps selling pretty well at almost full price (unlike gtsport) so we're good for at least another year of updates.
Though no new track, no new feature for so long? And the recruitment page is active with many job opportunities. I guess they're working on the next GT at full steam.

No track. Back to sleep I go.

Land Cruiser. Bolivia scapes. Someone at PD is a Top Gear fan.

been my reaction for a while now...but whats funny for me is I haven't loaded this game since the last update...The updates are the only reason I turn on my PS5 these days. I guess Im waiting for the point when the game won't be getting anymore updates and it's a somewhat completed game

;)
