What the hell is the point of having a game like this? Its a stripped down version of GT3 with a couple new rice-burners. Unless u can save the new vehicles and add them to the original GT3!!! Like trade them into your regular GT3 garage??? What do u guys think?

That would make the word "Add-On" a little more meaningful. It would definately be cool if it interfaced with GT3. :thumbsup:

Otherwise it's just a demo CD.
 
It's not a demo. Just an add-on pack. Yamauchi says that he will make even more add-ons. For instance 80's cars, etc.
 
"Add-on Pack" is very misleading. This new game is not going to interface with your saved GT3 A-Spec career at all. I highly doubt it can be considered a "preview" of GT4 either. Polyphony is more than likely using the exact same game engine for this new game as GT3, only with the new content added. You won't be able to buy parts for, and probably won't be able to tune the new cars either. All those negatives aside... for $26 bucks, I'll still probably buy it. It's not like there are any other racing games worth spending half that much on.

Well they call it an expansion pack, but who cares, you get to drive 20 concept cars. So far the new skyline, and the new 4WD Honda is worth the money.
 
I mean can u load your old game from A-Spec to Concept, so you can race the old AND new cars?
 
No, but **** theyre calling it an expansion pack. More like a mini-game to me.
 
The great thing about GT is that it's made by a dedicated team who put in stacks of effort. I spent at least 6 months desperately waiting for GT3. How special can this new cash-in game be?

I want to hear what Kazunori Yamauchi has to say!

After all, GT is probably the complete property of Sony and they could just pay a couple of modellers and programmers to use Polyphony's tech to make the new cash-in game. And it wouldn't be the first time Sony has tried to cash in on something...

20 new cars, five tracks and ARCADE MODE ONLY is NOT Gran Turismo, is it?

Despite the imflammatory nature of some of the comments said, I have to agree with some of it. GTC is more of a "GT Lite" rather than a full on brand new "GT Full Strength". It would really only appeal to really hardcore GT players. I personally will not buy it even if they give it a proper European release unless they give it a suitable budget price and if I feel that some sort of filler between GT3 and GTN/GT4.
 
Yea im totaly agreeing with brian here. $26! i can buy a full game with that (goin on the conversion to english money its probly about £20). heck i could buy GT2! If their gonna release a GTgame do it properly!

it isn't Gran Turismo. it would be just a cheezy p.o.s. demo. it would basically be like The Need For Speed, but with better grafix and more cars. personally, i think it's a waste of money. wait for gt4, because those cars will probably be on it. if not, then they just weren't all that after all, right?

still, they should have left the good gt2 cars in gt3, like all the muscle cars, the cheaper cars, and a mini you can buy.
