Most people keep their tyres at the recommended tyre pressure, as specified by the manufacturer. If there is an accident, having the wrong tyre pressure can effect your insurance claim.

You mean you've never adjusted the tyre pressure in your car to see how it affects handling?

That's fair enough, but if you've ever taken a road car on track, one of the few things you can change is your tyre pressures. It usually the first thing I'll do when I get to a track.

Whether a game lets you make this adjustment or not is a benchmarkI use when assessing a driving game/sim.
For example Live for Speed, Simraceway let you adjust tyre pressures. Grand Theft Auto does not.

That said, there are very few "real" cars available in LFS, so you could say it's less of a sim than games which features cars from the real world (RB Fantasy cars aside, naturally ;) )

being called a simulator, doesn't mean or guarantee that it simulates all possible aspects. this, does not take away from the fact, that it is still a simulator. otherwise I would start crying about why I can't turn the hazard lights on or some other silly nonsense :p

If it IS an arcade game, maybe I just need to keep adding change until I get the rest of it... Anybody know where the quarter-slot is on a PS3?

Let me ask you this. Barring the physics, what is the difference between this and a GT6 career "race".

Starting last? Check. (On a grid though, bit more realistic than GT6)
Cars spread far apart? Check.
No challenge to actually overtake cars? Check.
Simple race against time to catch leader before race is over? Check.

The physics might not be arcade but the career mode is straight up arcade style.

Yeah I throw quarters at my machine when I finish.
