the only suggestion I have is to change game settings to a steering wheel like "game" already has, other than that this is seriously awesome 👍

once i'm done with all the icons i'll post them all here so you guys can tell me what to change and what to keep so i'm sure everyone likes them equally :)
 
No, it's not radially symmetrical. The spokes do not make equal Ys in each direction. Why don't you just copy a BBS LM2 wheel and make it into the icon? that would look sweet.
 
Awesome work, Alba! :eek: Thanks for sharing, and a well-deserved +rep from me, too 👍 I love the account icons too... I have three separate accounts for that exact reason too, so it would be very nice to have an appropriate icon for each 👍
 
Love how its going so far, my only slight (very slight) niggle is the words would look better all starting with capitals...

For example...

New user - New User
Add friend - Add Friend
Remote play - Remote Play
Web browser - Web Browser

Anything with 'and' in it the and should just stay lower case... Like it is now.

Thats all.... Im not really complaining or anything but thats my input.. :)

By the way, I just edited new "user or account" icons (I got 3 accounts EU/US/JP and all of them got custom icons but i thought i would make something that matches this GT theme)

Also... any chance you might also have similar buttons for Korea and Hong Kong?

The text in the preview is just my "fake" addition, in-XMB (if i can say like that) it's the playstation making all the text so, don't worry about that, it's already all in capital letter just like you said! ;)

I'm tweaking all the horizontal icons without orb (with orbs are done) and i'm adding reflections below just like in GT5P ! I will post a screen in a few minutes when I'm done :)

I'm still trying to figure out a good music icon, any ideas? :O

Symmetrical in the vertical plane maybe, but those spokes are so uneven it's untrue! Still, fantastic work overall though, keep it up! Loking forward to seeing the end result.
 
More updates soon as for the background, i'm trying to mix some ideas together and use like different cars using the same "background" body like having the new GTR aswell as the evo X and a last one so that makes it three :D

I've done more icons and i've fixed the XMB in proper GT5P fashion, i'll try to get a picture of it in action soon :P (dunno if can release it tonight i still have a faire amount of work to do and some polish to add so... i'll try my best :P)

Some updates (I decided to change some things and add some colors to the setting little icon, what do you think?)

I haven't extracted everything into .png yet so i just need to test one in red see if it's good enough to make the rest :P

I do like these new ones, maybe the red rings (the outer circle) could be a bit darker, like burgundy but I also liked the original ones also... could you offer like both of them??

actually the red is fine, its probably my eyes seeing as its 1.20am and ive been working all day...

im anxious... I dont mind having a few different versions, heck, i like all the designs youve made.
 
I think i'll settle with no orb and the little red touch, it adds a lot and i've just tried it looks really good on the XMB, i just need a few tweaks (and surprisingly it looks great on a white background too :P)

I've started my background and it's going on good (real slow but good) because i want it to be perfect.

Without the orb on the horizontal icons i really got the same feeling as the GT5P interface, i just need the inside color to be a bit more transparent so that's just tweaking, i'll try to have a "test" compiled version tomorrow so you guys can tell me if you got anything wrong on your tv set :)

I'm gone to bed now, more updates tomorrow :D
 
Ok, i've done quite a bit amount of work and i'll show you guys soon enough (I guess i miscalculated and it took me way more time, i just got the little memory cards, usb flash drives, and folders icons to do...)

I had a question. Does anybody know which font is used for the "gtplanet.net" text on the top left of the screen? does anyone know who is in charge of gtp that might have an idea or something?

I've redone the little pixelated worldmap already, i just need the text to the right now :P

I've changed the accounts icons to match the sub pattern a bit better too (i guess it's upto you to choose which one you like best :)

I'm going to post the progress of my HD wallpaper tomorrow and ask for input and opinions, i've got tons of ideas but i need to focus and bring people's ideas together so we can have a really cool one (my aim is to keep it kinda classy as if it was PD's work!)

I'm not so sure yet how many versions i'm going to have but i thoguht GT colors are BLUE/RED so i'd make a blue one, red one, greyscale one and then orb or not... so I might have to make a little pack :D

It's already in 1080p :p (that's the default size for HD wallpaper in themes) ;)
