Is the rear end of the Corolla stable with this setup? I'm struggling so much to make a good setup (BTCC-style or TCR-style) for this car.
I haven't experienced a bad behaviour. What have you experienced? Braking? Lift off over steer?
Doesn't have as much rear downforce as the Honda.

@05XR8 Nice tunes!
Check out these from Outatime Sim Racing. The FWD cars can benefit from some toe out on the vehicle's rear to help rotation.

@GT PRO-AM have a look at the Mazda3 on this page as it is also 4WD like the Corolla, so should be similar settings

Very interesting website, i'll take a look. Thanks!

I have experienced lift off oversteer. Tested in Brands Hatch, first corner (but also many others) was a challenge every time. Lift off, braking, and the rear end goes away. I don't think is a matter of low downforce, I'm used to run many BTCC/TCR replicas with 100 front / 150 rear downforce. I think is something in the setup, maybe the LSD... I'll test your setup, I hope it to be useful.

If you run a rear differential then lower the braking sensitivity.
On the Outatime Sim Racing website join their discord, link at the top of the page and ask there too.

So... I tried this setup, overall a good setup, I'm still struggling with the rear end (now experiencing oversteer under braking more than lift off oversteer), BUT if I can be more gentle on the brakes it can be manageable. It's still a tricky car, at least for me, but manageable.

EDIT: my Corolla has BTCC (NGTC) specs, approx. 380 hp x 1.325 kgs.

"The BTCC car is softer, it has more straight-line speed and might be faster around the whole lap, but the TCR car feels quicker - it feels like you're more connected to the car. "I feel around corners the TCR car is faster and more technical, but they are almost on a par."

This is from an interview to Reece Barr about his switches between BTCC and TCR cars... I'm thinking that maybe we should stiffen the suspension setup for TCR replicas or, if we assume that this settings are ok, I have to soften more the suspension setup for BTCC replicas.

Anyway... So interesting thread. I love touring cars, in reality and in games (ToCA games on PSX, and also race car modifications for some sedans like Peugeot 406, Nissan Primera, etc. in GT2, have left their mark on me).

For sure. Can’t get enough of the classics and modern touring cars.

Above are just basic settings. Everyone can contribute their tunes though.

With PD changing up the suspension along with physics update I left the Gr.4 MAZDA3 stock. Tuned the FL5 and V40 to the Mazda specs.

So weird the MAZDA3 having the higher front downforce was struggling with understeer the most. The V40 has the least downforce, but I felt I could plant the car in the corners better than the MAZDA3. Also felt the Mazda had more wheel spin on corner exits.

Did another run in the Mazda just to see if I could improve. Still felt the same with understeer and wheel spin.

All three cars feel planted. The Civic and V40 have excellent drive out of corners. I just need to take more care with the Mazda.
